  • Very enjoyable, and it's always great to see the energy of Yes music light our universe.

    Well done.

  • Pure Shit by Japanese perv voiceware makers

  • gj!

    Good job!

  • WTF stupid fn GOOKS

  • @txlastrebel Don't ever use a keyboard again. Or a mouth. Or your brain.

  • @txlastrebel Please. Please never use a keyboard ever again.

  • I want a Japanese sex robot for Christmas.

  • Y'know, I can't honestly say I dislike this.

And it'll probably one of the few instances where this is the case. Most of this general kind of music grates my nerves beyond all comprehension, but this is at least tolerable.

And a great song. Long live Yes!

  • VERY impressive! Karel Čapek smiles!

  • wtf

  • I am your musical Japanese sex robot, here to sing many nice music for you always. Please enjoy funky mixture!

  • Not crazy about the vocal but that twangy guitar part is cool.

  • Awesome ☼

  • nice work

  • The original will always be the best, but this is a unique take on a masterpiece.

  • Comment removed

  • For those of you that think this is better than the original...you're fuckin morons.

Nice funky computer generated copy though. Enjoyable.

  • o.o

    What's this ??

  • btw I just learned recently that this kind of remixing is called vocaloid. So yeah, there ya go.

  • whoa this is freaky...!

I still like the original better~

  • This is a masterpiece. It must have taken forever to produce this! Good job.

  • Not bad for a midi version. As with all midi - it's too clean, no errors or human sounding innuendos. Voice synth is a little annoying, but strangely soothing at the same time, if that's possible. Well scored - very true to the original from CTTE.

  • This is what Siberian Khatru sounds like in hell.

  • Bahaha, it sounds like Wing! The instruments are well-done, but the vocals totally ruin it.

  • Am a hard core YES fanatic....No one else will 'dare' to say it so i will .

It is better than the original !

well at least it is totally a fresh take on a dusty song....

face it YES is a fragmented band..always some internal shit going on..that' s where all the brilliance comes from..or goes out..

Their current mess is continuation of said story..

Yes isn' t Yes without Jon , and frankly that is why their audiences are dwindling

People get tired of the BS after a while...35 years here....

  • @scitsalcoryp

What the fuck. the original is obviously better.

  • @cjgone2 OK thanks for straightening me out...God Bless All Yes Fans !

  • @scitsalcoryp Agreed. Eventually all great things must have their close. Its not to say that the music won't live on, but it will obviously change. Hopefully in 200 years, people will still appreciate Yes for what their band was and appreciate the craftsmanship of the music

  • @guidenredhawk excellent reverb...this is a great cover version..make no mistake !

The scary thing is ..is it better than the original ?

    Kill me now !

  • Not at all as good as the original, the music is exactly the same and the singing is a joke,... so what's the point of doing it over if it's going to be-- note for note the same. And have a cartoon edge to it?

  • Pretty cute. I like this better than some of the live versions Yes has done of their own song. Peace!

  • This is undoubtedly the coolest thing that's come out of Vocaloid (that's what this is, right?) that I know of.

  • Comment removed

  • This is simultaneously the best and worst cover I've ever heard of the song.

  • Haaaaaa, So True. great comment !

  • Isn't Hatsune Miku a Japanese rhythm game?

  • lol

  • Cool

    Thanks for sharing

  • XD is this a parody or what? mmm...I hear RealStrat vsti also. Addictive drums for drums I think. The voice is crap! .YES would feel offended.

  • YES AND TWISTED SISTER ROCK!

  • I'm still contemplating the fact that this exists. Like.

  • This is the most whack cover i've heard to date, but it's kinda cool.

  • Yes-chan?

    Crose to the Edge-sama?

  • You know, I have to say it... really good job. I'm not sure I like, but it's really a very good effort, and thanks for posting this.

  • plz watch another version.

    s23V3HE_W44&fmt=18

this version is an early version.

  • please make more :<

  • this is beautiful, a combination that is clearly from someone who GETS IT. even the video animation is perfect. i need a high quality version, please. this is something that i have actually dreamed about, but had yet to create. I only wish that the part with the sitar was more emotional, or had arabic or eastern style singing. yes definately has a very eastern influence (side project named ASIA haha) and i really think that combined with contemporary japanese culture, great things can happen!!

  • LOL

I must admit I rather liked this take on the song. I feel dirty.

  • Absolutely wonderful!!!! Italian fan of Yes

  • this is retarded

  • Well, it's certainly an interesting version of this song! I have to admit, I like the original better, but I have to give a lot of credit to anyone who can even try to copy this song...and actually pull it off as well as they do.

  • not good

  • Sounds really processed and mostly- if not entirely midi, but still not a bad cover. One or two parts translate weird rhythmically into Japanese but otherwise it sounds alright. A weird kinda techno-bar twist to a prog classic.

  • Good job. Very good job, man. That's all I can say.

  • ITS A MIDI FILE!!!!

  • Well, I'd say it's about 95% Japanese anyway. But, judging from the commentary here the Japanese can't understand wtf it all means either.

  • I think actually he has adapted the words into Japanese. God what a light and poppy sound. Like the funky asian space bar in some science fiction movie.

  • >someone who doesn't know English went by phonetics

    No pun intended, but yes.

    And that's GOOD.

See, this is my fave yes song & one of my top 5 ever. But the lyrics are completely meaningless. I used to hate that, but now I know that it's so you pay attention, not to words, but to THE FEELING.

That lesson generalizes. GOD I wish I knew it in 1973.

This guy loves the song as much as I do, and his work here emphasizes the TRUE meaning, beyond words, at the core of what you really are.

  • @FayeKane I agree, this is such a beautifully constructed piece of music, no matter what flavor it is given if the essence and some of the quality of the original is re-created the unique emotional quality of this prog masterpiece is sure to manifest. - R lee W

  • insupportable!

  • Extremely interesting. Thanks for your work.

  • Great!

  • Please, tell Yoko to hari kari

  • this an amazing cover

  • The sea monkeys sang this to me in my dream! LOL

  • great!! I love this band and I had never thought of doing a cover of this song, but is so cool!!!

  • I love the idea, but the synthesized voice could have done a lot better job re-creating the lyrics. I assume this was put together by someone whose first language isn't English and just went by phonetics, rather than the actual lyrics. Unfortunately, it shows. The music is wonderfully executed, though.

  • @shammadamma The program only supports japanese.

  • Someone spent some serious time on this! Sounds like Yoko Ono singing. Oh well, you could never understand Jon Anderson's lyrics anyway!

  • asshole version!

  • This is really kind of impressive. And suprisingly fun to listen to. Is the guitar pure software? Notes played on a real guitar or "drawn" into the file? I find the only things I really miss are Andersons' voice and the distinctive "ring" of Brufords' snare drum. The string sounds are actually richer and smoother than the original recording though!

  • Oh yeah, easy for you to say.

  • Thought I'd let you know what that guy was saying in Japanese:

The instrumental reproduction is amazing (especially that of John Howe's guitar). The chorus is great too. I have absolutely no idea what the words mean though!

  • Oh.

  • That's Steve Howe.

  • Sorry dude. Musta been a little over scotched at the moment. dunno why i said john. Least I didn't spell it Jon! BTW, howe's the old guy doin' these days.

  • great

  • ... I am a huge yes fan and this is oddly very pleasing to listen to. very nicely done !

  • I like it¡ I am a big Yes Fan but not purist.

This version is funny and interesting, its a good mix between Prog-electronic-videogame and futuristic mood.

It makes me think in a little robot in the future doing a rendition to past century group Yes. I like the vibrato voice.. is phantasmagoric =).

Come one guys don´t take it so seriously.

  • Oddly I find something vaguely erotic about this version too. Kind of an asian titty bar feel to it, LOL!

  • The whole song was made in a software.

  • what the fuck is wrong with the voice

  • It's synthesized. Using "Vocaloid" software. Google that term for further information.

  • AWESOME :D:D

  • WMG SUCKS

  • This is a very good cover.

    Well Done!

  • hey who sing this version?

    did you did it?

  • It's a synthesized voice program called "Vocaloids". This is one of them, Hatsune Miku ;)

People often use them to sing techno-pop and para-para songs, but there are some crazy dudes (in the best meaning of the word) that make them sing these masterpieces XD

  • Twisted Sister isn't anything like Yes. How can you compare the two. And Yes is one of the greatest bands of all-time. I know one Twisted Sister song.......that's it! That shows how memarble they are.

  • I cant believe you think twisted sister compares to Yes! Not to mention Yes is among the most talented bands ever. Maybe you shouldnt watch an asain imitation video of Yes if you want to talk about this group.

  • i suppose its all opinions. I simply disagree.

  • TROLL

  • no. what? NO!

  • You're comparing a hair metal band from the 1980's with an accomplised 1970's progressive rock band? You're a dumbass. They are completely different genres of music for one thing. For another, Yes' music is far harder to play. If you were a musician or knew anything about music you would know that. Idiot.

  • the music of yes some are hard but other arént that hard;

but the thing that make special to yes is the creativity of howe.

  • Comment removed

  • that cant be say in public¡¡¡

  • Sorry, I'll delete my opinion.

  • jaja its was joke..

    it´s was joke?

    it´s was joke¡¡¡

i dont know if it was joke¡¡¡¡¡??

  • I love it!

Yes music passes all boundaries and comes out shining like the sun across a river in the balance of one!

  • Good until the voice came in. after that....bleh

  • I'm with you on that. The music is quite well done, the voice, uh......no.

  • lol

  • Pretty well done, the instrumentation is very faithful but even though I'm comfortable with japanese singing I can't help thinking vocals on this are kind of hilarious.

  • not sure if this is true, but i thought that japanese couldn't do the "L" sound and then I hear "liver lunning" , must be a reference to CttE's lyrics (kidding).

  • lol I like the "dabada dat da dub dat da" at 3:08 :D

  • That's a good sounding midi.

  • True, whoever did the transcriptions did it quite good, way better than we usually find around.

  • Interesting cover of SK!

    Well done!

    (BTW, miguelbass sent me)

  • glad you liked it Robert ;)

  • Perfect!

  • A great version of one of my favorite songs.

I LOVE the Hammond organ sound on this! Great attack! Nice throaty guitar tone, as well.

  • I like both versions.. this version sounds really flashy

  • Fascinating.

  • Unbelievable! :-DD

  • This is really nice and refreshing!

  • i like this better than the original, it is much clearer, the vocals are kinda nutty but i like it

  • What a great....I am sorry that I look down on MIKU-HATUNE.

  • What a trip!

    Acid flash back... Asian style.

    Long live YES.

  • The instrumental aspects are actually an improvement! The chords are broadened, and I actually prefer it (your understanding of chord structure is stellar). The vocals, of course, are in another galaxy and take some adjustment in taste, but, overall, I love it. Sound quality is surprisingly good by Youtube standards. It's a kick to hear this interpretation, and I'm sure "the guys" will find it fun.

  • The instruments are from the MIDI files for this song.

  • Thanks for the song, my favorite

  • Con todos los respetos, insoportable.
