I am working on space marines and they come from the sea. I am either going to paint the armour with scales effect or put a seablue or sea grey pattern to them. might put some kind of fins on them. gillls even. been looking at sea creatures and designs from military units in the past that was naval. true marines soldiers from the sea. I think i might be mad. not sure. weapons would have to be modified too. oh, air tanks and scuba gear ,deep sea combat from the bottom sea floor, help me

They look fantastic but given your such a great painter why did you pick Space Marines over doing the other more intresting forces in 40k. I always look at Space Marines as being designed to appeal to the children or people new too 40k.

@CichlidAsh Space Marines are cool to everyone I think, at least from a fluff perspective.

I think what *should* turn people away is their popularity. Personally I love Space Marines but I tend to play my Eldar or IG more simply because of the connotations surrounding SMs as an army.

But I will admit that the Space Wolves and ESPECIALLY the BAs are a ton of s**t

@Henners1991 I guess it all comes down to personal taste, fluff wise SM are kind of dull too me. I dont see whats so special about genetic inhanced humans that have no fear sounds kind of like playing a force of Terminators or Replicants who happen to be a bunch of daddy boys (lol). I personally like something that has fears and challanges that they must strive to push past. Still their is nothing wrong with people liking SM really the world would be really dull if we all liked the same thing

Good, you also bought Terminators or you had them before? Also, do you use some decal solutions, like Micro-sol or something? It really helps decals (or transfer, how you call it) to set on mini.

@UnityCZ i had some left over from my old army i didn´t paint. no i dont use Micro-sol, simply because i can´t buy it where i live without paying enourmous shiping costs

@pathfinderdude08 mostly it´s just a matter of cutting the arms and turn them a little bit. sometimes you have to fill some gaps with green stuff but most of the time if you cut strait, you don´t have to. basicly you can cut the arms at every joint and turn them like you whant. but keep in mind that the pose have to be anatomicly possible ;-)

Sehr schick geworden... aber was hab ich da im Video gehört... du willst den Landraider für die Wings machen weil du keine Imperial Fist mehr hast ? Haste die verkauft oder wieso haste die nicht mehr.... die war doch geil bemalt und mal was anderes ... Bloodangels sehe ich nämlich laufend ... scheint irgendwie ne Mainstream Armee zu sein ... und ich dachte das wären die Ultras ;)
