it's interesting how sean refers to kobe @1:57 as being the closest to michael but still a mile away.....and this was in 2003. many still say that about kobe today even with all that he's done in the seven years since then. it appears that, in many people's eyes, kobe will never come close to michael's greatness no matter what he accomplishes.

@RTR9 kobe isn't as good as everyone thinks, and hes not better than lebron, matter of fact i take that back, he is pretty damn good, but he gets more credit than he deserves... hes had pau odom and fisher for 2 rings, and shaq for 3... who did bron have in playoffs...? mo williams, barely an all star quality player? Lebron did what he had to do but his team didnt. when da cavs won in tha playoffs, Lebron won those games, singlehandedly. kobe isnt the type of leader Bron is and couldnt do that.

@RTR9 when people compare Kobe to MJ, what they're really comparing is 2nd coming Jordan (ie. 33 yrs old and above). But against 86-93 MJ, there is no comparison. People also conveniently forget is that Kobe has been fortunate enough to compete most of his career in an era where rules were modified to favor the perimeter player. So many of the great performances today are quite inflated.

@PCC9 Switch KB to MJ's era with Bulls. and MJ with Shaq. Have KB go to college till his 21 and get to NBA and have MJ go to NBA at age 17-18. then we can compare them.Different situations. If we're talking about skills/talent and Style. Yes, they are the same.They almost play the same. If we're talking stats and awards. its not really fair for KB.One thing sure, both are unstoppable.

@RyouMemory The fact that Kobe had Shaq at the beginning of his career gives him a HUGE advantage. Add that to the fact that he wasn't even a starter for the Lakers in his first few years. Jordan was getting 40 mins a night from the get go.

@PCC9 It gaved KB a huge advantage when it comes to winning.MJ never had a Shaq.Shaq was "one" of the reason why KB didn't get all those Awards and stats.And when KB didn't have shaq, he was already growing and learned to get his teammates involve.Alot of people agreed with me on this already.Both great players though.

@RyouMemory Many critics and players that played against both disagree. Most of the players that played against both, claim that Jordan was harder to guard and a better defender. MJ is one of the best defenders ever at the guard position, Kobe is not.
