  • this was my first basketball game <3

  • 4:16-4:29..a 40 year old does a good defensive play, goes out of bounds, then scores at other end. Great sequence.

  • I wanna see Kobe score 20 points at 40 years old! My ass, he is barely making that much at 33! NO ONE comes close to Jordan, not Kobe, no one.

  • So wait for M Schumacher to pwn the f1 world

  • Will Kobe, LeBron or anyone else be able to play like this at age 40? I'd have to say no.

Pippen, Jackson and Larry Brown have said that with the league having softer rules he would be even better in today's game. I agree.

MJ = Greatest player of all-time.

  • 40 years old MJ: 20 points and 6 rebounds per game, 45% FG, in 82 games. Malone and Jabbar where 38 when they made 20 points per game for the last time (both having better teams).

  • 3:46 - 4:00, that's actually some very insightful basketball commentary. That was what made Michael such an incredible basketball and team leader. His forcefulness makes it nearly impossible to play lazy on the floor when you're with him, cause he'll embarass you in front of everyone and call your ass out, and make you know you need to get ur ass in gear. College coaches probably don't know how to handle personalities like that sometimes, it's a completely different style of coaching.

  • Seriously who else was going to do the scoring on that team I saw a young stackhouse but um yeah he had to take the scoring load and people need to get off that man dick for real he's great we get it

  • haa, MJ rockin them cool greys!!

  • I....WAS....THERE. There are no words. It was amazing being there. MJ LEGEND.

  • @OminousVisions you are so lucky!

  • I bet MJ can still get atleast 20 at 48

  • @retrocarter Yeah this league so set up he probably would

  • Jordan could be 60 and still school me at the court. Much respect to 23.

  • Omg haters on lebron I mean now this is just childish what ever we watch always talk about lebron ok he doesn't have a ring so when you say those thing who are you talkin too look me I couldn't possibly care less him he doesn't even bother reading your repetitive answers and the viewers dont care as much as I do so stop wastin ur time

  • @gloire4 You just being sour

  • This just makes leBron look like the biggest faggot. He gives up on his team, in the playoffs, in his prime because he doesn't think his team has a chance. Here is Jordan, 40, in a regular season game with the shitty wizards giving it everything on both sides of the ball.

  • how dare u take away another game winning shot opportunity at new york from mj. even the fans at new york wanted to loss tat game to mj lol sprewell u bitch u didnt want to be at the wrong end of the highlight pussy

  • I didn't know he actually played in cool grays

  • cool greys

way to end his career :P

  • i was at this game courtside. the knics fans booed the knicks for winning the game

  • @jeffstev1127 We don't give a fuck bitch you still not bout shit...Talk your courtside sittin ass on outta here.

  • this guy showed us the blue print of how to play the game best to ever lace em up

  • cool greys yea

  • i wish i could've seen him play

  • 40 years old 23 points a game GOAT

  • this guy is 40 YEARS OLD NOBODY CAN SCORE 40 POINTS AT 40 BUT MJ

  • @TheEman67 karl malone did

  • @ps3rocks15 o well how many points per a game did he get at 40

  • @TheEman67 he averaged 20.6

  • Comment removed

  • I just love how the knicks crowd is cheering for him. Actually everywhere he went tthe crowds cheered for him. Just shows you how great he was and how much EVERYBODY loved him.

  • you know its a great player when the highlight film has a single stream of like 4 plays without break. and the moves and shots he made look very similar to some that he had in the late 80s

  • This is jordan at age 40?he`s still better than LEBRON on his prime..jordan may have some bad games..but he never got CHOKED!!!ESPECIALLY IN THE FINALS!!QUIT PLAYING MEN!!YOU CAN`T WIN A RING!!DON`T CALL YOURSELF A KING CAUSE GOD IS THE REAL KING!!CALLING YOURSELF A KING IS INSULTING GOD HIMSELF!!that`s why you wont win nothing!!!!

  • MJ is better at 40 yrs old than LeBrick in his prime!

  • @tolopo99 he also looks younger than present day lebron

  • It's funny how the home court fans are cheering for every shot MJ makes. That's RESPECT.

  • hahaha i bet tiger was fucking some girl at that time

  • I love how they're talking about double-teaming a 40-year old. He's 40! Who the hell requires a double team at age 40?!

    Oh it's Michael.

  • Age 40? Are you kidding me? Absolute legend.

  • At age 40?!!!! That's why he is the greatest player in the game.

  • Mike had Cool Greys in 2003?

  • I quit when MJ quits, which is never. He retires, he dont quit.

  • i like how that dude at 2:23 tryed to steal it, michael pulled back and sayed "nope"

  • even at age 40 he was shooting better than lebron!! cant even compare to jordan!!!

  • if i were the knicks i would have given him the ball and let him score a buzzer beater just for old times sake

  • come on Shandon I can do this all day !

  • it's sad how he lost his last game... :(

  • Time is going by. Kobe's older, Michael's retired. We have beautiful memories. I don't see players as better or worse in NBA. They're all the part of beautiful memories for us. After all we are older too.

  • @Wyga23 never thought of it like that. so very true. the game dont change, nor does greatness!

  • Jordan coming back going to the Wizards was just a way to show everybody that he was 10x better than them no matter what year it was or how old he is

  • @frenchiejr00 and Kobe showed him that by coming back he got to take the torch from him personally. 55 points in their last meeting in 2003 LOL KOBEEEE BRYANTTTTTT!

MJ > Kobe don't get me wrong... but that must still bother Jordan I mean really - 55??? LOL MJ WHOAAAAA why didn't you guard him? :( he also came back cuz even at age 40 he just loves playing games. He loves the adrenaline rush. He represented gatorade. Google gatorade penis and tell me what u find LOL.

  • 3:52 he says hes such a natural hes such a pimp Thumbs up if you heard it

  • wait. this makes no sense. nice performance and all but i have one thing thats bugging me. instead of him making that last free throw, shouldn't he have missed and then they might've gotten the rebound and put it back in to win the game? thats what i wouldda done.

  • @partidoking it really do make sense... they were hoping to make a quick foul after MJ made the freethrow. there is still 4.2 secs in the clock which is still a ton of time in basketball... they could've foul right away and just burn 1-2 secs in the clock and that would still leave them 2 secs sumthing... called and timeout and draw up a final play... but instead the knicks played the last inbound play very well...

  • so suggary sweet is his jumper, beautiful

  • If he wasn't fouled.. He'd nail that 3.. that foul was a smart move I think.

  • Jordan is the man. I remembering growing up as a Bulls fan (sorry no longer anymore) I used to get into heated battles with the rest of my family who were Knicks fans over how Patrick Ewing was going to stick it to Jordan and how Ewing was more of a warrior than Jordan. Since that day I have always resented the Knicks and their fans.

  • @kotulakj2 The Knicks wasnt shit to the Bulls in the 90s. Patrick is no where near MJ!

  • He was still amazing. Its too bad he had to play with such a bad wizards team.

  • I remember watchin this game!!! I went like oh no!!!! this is da real king!!!!

  • Michael Jordan, The "FIRST" King of Basket Ball, you can't refuse this reality!

  • @lasfrom234 He is still King!!!!! & Emperor!!!!

  • 40 years old 39 points who does that.... ill tell u no one thats y jordan=G.O.A.T

  • @joseesqueda1994 Ohhh thats Greatest Of All Time very clever my friend

  • Diehard Knick fan but MJ was the greatest (no comparisons) dude was still busting ass at 40 wtf ??

  • i was courtside for this game. man what a show that was

  • Jordan's legacy isn't determined by his last game.. It's determined by his accomplishments and achievements.. championships, titles, stats, points scored, teams he shut down.. He was the greatest of all time even though he was still playing the game and he left behind a dream for everyone to chase that enters the game after him..

  • i was at this game 7 rows up from the court. i got dave chapelle's autograph on the giveaway hat after the game.

  • of all the people to rag on/get mad andersen chose jordan lmao

  • NY Knicks beat Jordan!!! Good to know that in his last game at MSG, the NYK were triumphant against MJ!!!

  • @BklynBryan

jordan still got his points though

  • Sorry but did that guy just say "Jorden"?!?!

  • lebron ain't got nothing on his airness

  • he should have retired as a bull. he just didn't look right in that wizards jersey

  • Ol' Brent Musberger calling an NBA game...

  • kobe owns jordan

  • @nasoszeppos WHAAAAAAT!!! Sorry,but I am sure you're taking some drugs

  • @nasoszeppos U R WRONG!

  • HE SHOULD HAVE FINISHED HIS CAREER IN BULLS =/

  • @killblackpregnants wtf y wud he go to the wizards

  • @killblackpregnants Well he did...He played with the wizards just for the fun of it anyway..

  • @killblackpregnants he would have if the bulls organization wasnt so disloyal.

  • @killblackpregnants thats a pretty common opinion. with that said tho, mike wanted to come back, and he was part owner of the wizards, so the wizards were the only team he could've played with. mike was such a competitor, he wanted to show that even as an old man he could still dominate the game. im one of the few who really doesn't care that he didn'f finish his career with the bulls, i don't think his return did anything to diminish what he did in chicago. just my opinion

  • @koalalauncher Me either.I loved his comeback to the Wiz.

  • @koalalauncher obviously you know nothing, he could come back with any team and he had to give up and sell his ownership to come back

  • @infamousjdmr I wasn't aware that I knew nothing, thanks for letting me know :)

  • @infamousjdmr You're right, I was wrong, I thought as a minority owner he could've played. One mistake doesn't mean I don't know anything.

  • THE HOME CROWD CHEERING FOR MJ...WOW...

  • Kobe is overrated, individually, hes a great talent but he cant carry a team on his shoulders and win.. Shaq, Gasol, Artest, Odom, Bynum, the guy always had a all star cast. Overrated

  • @Stoudemireable 81 points? Wasnt he averaging 28 when he didnt have Gasol? People say shit like you do, but it isnt true......Jordan admitted himself Kobe is the closest player ever to him.

  • @stephengerondakis He never said Kobe wasn't a great player, just that he has had a lot of help (Shaq, Gasol, Odom, etc.) winning his championships. The thing is, no individual player can win it all by their selves. Jordan had Scottie Pippen, who people forget was an absolute beast.

On another note, I think Kareem is above Kobe. Kareem played for 20 years and averaged 24 and 11 for his career. If we look at his averages up until age 32 (Kobe's current age)- he averaged 28 and 15.

  • @stephengerondakis

Just like I said, hes great individually...............

  • 39 points (13-22 from the field), 8 boards, 1 stl. It looks like the typical stat line we saw from this guy night in and night out since 1984. Unbelievable. The man is legendary.

  • @Silverpatrone15 No more drives though, more jumpers, how is it that his jumper looks sweeter than ever?

  • 40?

  • lol age 40, one good knee, and still finds a way to put on a masterpiece performance in his last showing in the garden. unreal

  • hey look its sean elliott the commentator for the spurs!!! WAIT what did he say??? kobe is like jordan??? is this nigga on crack!!!!!! if sean should know his history then he would know that michael jordan was and is the greatest player alive. kobe doesnt compare to jordan in any way what so ever!! kobe can try but never will he compare to the one and only Michael Jordan!!!!!!! and if any one disagrees i want you to go to google or what ever and look up jordans stats!!! and then look at kobes.

  • @skaterjohn117 Sean Elliot said that Kobe is the closest to Jordan but is still a mile away.

  • a god amoungst humans, a machine amongst people, a man amoungst boys....MJ GOAT, Fuck Kobe!!!!!!!

  • Kobe who?

  • 得分如探囊取物一般。。。。。

  • brent musburger should host da nba finals NOT STUART SCOTT

  • MJ didnt challenge any players, it was too simple for him, he challenged time, his age, His mind always young, too bad body got older

  • @Jumpman1989

    i love your comment man

  • @iTzeXile13 thanks. This is just my final conclusion based on MJs career

  • SEAN ELLIOT!!!!!!!!

  • his airness~

  • did he even get to the playoffs? what did he accomplish without scottie pippen, rodman, harper, kukoc, etc.?

  • @llxzxll dude you're probably too young to understand it, just let it go

  • I felt bad for MJ those guys didn't show up that year. Jordan had to carry the team alone.

  • lmao...they were to scared so they fouled him...lmao! even at 40 he put fear in da hearts of his opponents. The Bulls would have definitely won more titles if they stayed 2gether. They cud have signed anyone...cuz everyone wud have still wanted to play wit jordan and pippen.

  • it's interesting how sean refers to kobe @1:57 as being the closest to michael but still a mile away.....and this was in 2003. many still say that about kobe today even with all that he's done in the seven years since then. it appears that, in many people's eyes, kobe will never come close to michael's greatness no matter what he accomplishes.

  • Wash. really sucked, Jordan was doing all the work

  • is there a rule in the NBA that u have to retire after 40???

  • damn those cool greys are so clean

  • NY fans love MJ

  • Michael is the best. But I really hope Kobe never retires lol he is the only player to have traits like michael he retires mannnnnnnn i wil cry.

  • @RTR9 Kobe's the last of a dying breed

  • @Rsaint17 That's fucking crazy you said that. I said the same exact thing The same fucking thing lol. Your the man for realizing that to good man.

  • @Rsaint17 No... Kobe is the prototype for the overhyped piece of shit athlete that now permeates sports which are watered down for the sole purposes of duping kids into believing they're seeing something special, when it's really merely above average. Kobe is the quintessential swagger jacker and anyone who puts he and MJ in the same sentence w/o including the words "isn't worthy to lace a pair of Jordan's" is guilty of hardwood heresy.

  • there will never be another mj

i hope we will see kobe with the age of 40

  • look at his stats,, that's nuts..... still avg 23.2 pts and 8 rebs even he's over 40

  • the best player to ever touch a basketball.....

  • m.j is nonstopable in the court .. !

  • I cant believe I lived in the era where i witnessed his greatness.. thank you lord for giving me that opportunity !

  • video has some serious buffering problems

  • What a sorry team Jordan had to play with. 39 points from Jordan and you couldn't win against a bad knicks team...sad

  • You cant D MJ!

  • greg anthony, dont talk about the playoffs. are you kidding me?

  • When you hear NBA, do you think Michael Jordan automatically? or is it just me?

  • is this man really a human being? at 40 he plays better than the younger generation.

EXCEPTIONAL player. the only one. come back again michael! you can still do it even your 50 or 60......play 1 more time please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If a 40 year old jordan could average 20 ppg in today's nba, then imagine what a Jordan in his prime would of done.

  • I wish Jordan had had one last playoff run that year, even to get past the 1st round would have pumped me up..

  • Wow, what an amazing performance. And this at age 40 it's unreal. I sooo miss the GOAT on the court. Today's NBA is just not fun to watch without him.

  • basketball will never be the same again, without his airness! :(

  • and he was wearing the cool gray 11's :o

  • smooth as butter

  • terrible edit you should upload the whole game

  • dude!! check out the cool grey 11s!! sweeeeet!

  • Yall Need To Stop playing WIth yall Self With The Kobe And Lebron Talks....Women Lie Number Lie...But Jordan Numbers Dont

  • LOLLL. Anderson got pwd by The God of Basketball.

  • INSPIRATION

  • hoopsencyclopedia provides the best show on youtube

  • G.O.A.T.

  • fuck kobe and lebron ...

    his airness .

  • @ShaqAttack32Diesel Fuck Lebron, Idk how 13 of you dont respect Kobe Wow. 8th all time scorer and still climbing 5 titles and still counting that is wrong not to respect a guy like that. ohhhhhhhh its cause you just dont like him..............righhhhhhhhhhhhht

  • @RTR9 kobe isn't as good as everyone thinks, and hes not better than lebron, matter of fact i take that back, he is pretty damn good, but he gets more credit than he deserves... hes had pau odom and fisher for 2 rings, and shaq for 3... who did bron have in playoffs...? mo williams, barely an all star quality player? Lebron did what he had to do but his team didnt. when da cavs won in tha playoffs, Lebron won those games, singlehandedly. kobe isnt the type of leader Bron is and couldnt do that.

  • @redassasain18 I guess we will see this year if you are right. If what your saying is true The Heat is a lock to win.

  • @ShaqAttack32Diesel I agreed, jorden is Airness.

  • 39 points at 40 for his last game. That's how a legend goes out haha.

  • Who are the 19 ppl that disliked this? They need to be shot!!!

  • @Marakulous43 maybe kobe and lebron fans

  • all i know is that you cant have commercial about basketball without JORDAN

  • MJ23 IS THE BEST ALL TIME !!!

  • idc if u mother fuckers like Kobe Bryant. He's the closiest player to michael jordan.

  • @RTR9 when people compare Kobe to MJ, what they're really comparing is 2nd coming Jordan (ie. 33 yrs old and above). But against 86-93 MJ, there is no comparison. People also conveniently forget is that Kobe has been fortunate enough to compete most of his career in an era where rules were modified to favor the perimeter player. So many of the great performances today are quite inflated.

  • I was at this game, MJ played like a true legend vs my Knicks.

  • its well known by educated people that kobe is MJ's prodigy.

  • I wanna see Kobe drop 39 points at age 40... even though it was against the Knicks.

  • @KoretiGuy95 lol well he isent fucking 40 now is he

  • @RTR9 He obviously isn't 40. He probably won't even be in the league when he's 40.

  • @KoretiGuy95 too bad he was 40 when he put down 43pts for a nba record eh smart guy ? fucking dumbass

  • michael jordan IS THE KING OF BASKETBALL !!!!

  • Simply amazing

  • People should just stop comparing KB to MJ. That's just silly.

  • I love how everyone that thinks kobe is better always says that kobe faced harder defense if the defense now is so hard that how come at age 40 he can still score 40 points against these "better defenders"

  • BAD ASS RETRO 11'S.. HAD THEM 2003, SENIOR YEAR

  • I'm a huge Kobe fan but yeah let's see how good he is at 40. He's 31 and already packing up the injuries.

    But we'll see.

  • @PCC9 Switch KB to MJ's era with Bulls. and MJ with Shaq. Have KB go to college till his 21 and get to NBA and have MJ go to NBA at age 17-18. then we can compare them.Different situations. If we're talking about skills/talent and Style. Yes, they are the same. They almost play the same. If we're talking stats and awards. its not really fair for KB.One thing sure, both are unstoppable.

  • @RyouMemory The fact that Kobe had Shaq at the beginning of his career gives him a HUGE advantage. Add that to the fact that he wasn't even a starter for the Lakers in his first few years. Jordan was getting 40 mins a night from the get go.

  • @PCC9 It gaved KB a huge advantage when it comes to winning.MJ never had a Shaq.Shaq was "one" of the reason why KB didn't get all those Awards and stats. And when KB didn't have shaq, he was already growing and learned to get his teammates involve.Alot of people agreed with me on this already. Both great players though.

  • @RyouMemory Many critics and players that played against both disagree. Most of the players that played against both, claim that Jordan was harder to guard and a better defender. MJ is one of the best defenders ever at the guard position, Kobe is not.

  • @MrAzher48 Uh who are you? O.O and MJ is "one" of the best defenders. but you can't sleep on Kobe's defense.from 2001/2-2010, even in the very late 90s.his in all first team defensive player. He guards as good as top defensive guards today.

  • @RyouMemory

Get back to me when he wins defensive player of the year, like Jordan did. Go away. Did you forget that Jordan is the only guard in history to have 200 steals and 100 blocks in a season? Oh yeah, he did it TWICE.
