  • Yeah he is the best so good

  • James Brown Genius

  • Me thinks white girls could werk it better in the 60's !

  • White girls werked it out from :39 to :50. WERK!!

  • I remember when i wore high-waters back in the early 60s when i went to Viet Nam in 69, it was bell-bottoms ,, ahhh the memories when I came back from Nam it was the platform shoes, but still bell-bottoms ,,,the music ,the dances, the clothing , man those were the days

  • @Sgtpsoto Know what you mean! Wish It was back in '65, in LA driving that GTO down Sunset Blvd...listening to Wolfman Jack on XERB Radio, from Rosarito, Baja California, 300,000 watts all the way to Canada!

  • They made James Brown lip sync because his live show would make white teenagers spontaneously explode.

  • this song has the same format as "i feel good". it only makes me love it more.

  • I love those dance moves from the 60s - they really were the freshest - not as technical as other eras but just so GROOVY - I'm sure James had something to do with that !

  • most people those days were thin....... I don't recall seeing as many fat people as today!!!

I think it had to do with the fact that suburbia wasn't as common, many people lived in cities and took the bus, walked to their jobs, danced as night clubs were all about fun and dancing, unlike today that is more like show off and pick fights at the club.

The US was more like europe in the way that people walked, streets were often packed with people, parks has musicians, today every one drives.

  • @TheYaom YOU'RE RIGHT. THIS WAS A TIME WHERE MOTHERS WERE AT HOME MAKING 3 SQUARES AND POLICING WHAT KIDS ATE. NO VIDEOS,NO INTERNET, AND LIMITED TIME YOU WERE ALOUD TO BE ON THE PHONE BECAUSE THERE WAS ONLY ONE PHONE. NONE OF THE KIDS WANTED TO HANG OUT WITH THIER PARENTS THAT WAS A SURE WAY TO BE PUT TO WORK. WE STAYED OUTSIDE TIL DARK. THEN THE 70S ROLLED IN WITH SINGLE MOTHERS WORKING AND JUNK FOOD DOING THE BABYSITTING

  • Too Cool man, from juvie delinquent to boxer to RnB singer & dancer to chick magnet, he made alot of others look sappy in comparesome.

  • BettySanuk, Amen! that is the gospel truth!!

  • Yes because we burned it off by being active. These kids today don't want to walk across the street.

  • all the dancers and audience are white why??

  • lol why do all the go-go dancers look alike???

  • @lrwsoreal whats funny about that was, these are the same dancers that dances for "bobby fuller four" when he sang "i fought the law"you can tell cause of the white chick dancing at 2:33 over james brown right shoulder, thats the same girl that dances on bobby fuller four's video!

  • @kryptonian541 lol i'll have to check out that video and see

  • @kryptonian541 --And she mite b just 1 of the girls he'd b'n sexin' back then, like the 1 who came to our neighbor hood in Brooklyn, NY. back around 1974 making a visit, became aquainted with some of us n let us know that she'd been w/ James back around 1965-67.

  • @kryptonian541 because they were part of the show, gazzarri dancers

  • @kryptonian541 The dancers worked for the TV show, not the performers. Duh

  • lol no disrespect to james brown he may have lost his looks over the years but he never lost that hair or his dance moves lol

  • A true classic right here.

  • @ContraCommando George! Hows life? Oh thats right. Its still shit for you needless to say.

  • @supersniperdevil No, actually it is very good. How's yours? LOL

  • @ContraCommando Its not too bad.

  • I'd like to see these fat ass teenagers dance like that now! They would register a 6.5 on the richter scale. No wonder people were skinnier back then. Awesome music!

  • @DA90027

Young people were thinner during the 1960's

before the obesity epidemic hit America!!!

  • @BettySanuk And look at how good of dancers they were. They were copying James Brown!!! (or trying to....)

  • I bet he banged half the girls on the set before and after the gig....and, as far as the Godfather of Soul label he got (and still gets) - all need to give him props for the Rock vox. Almost every rock singer I know pulls from him....especially, from the late '60's through the 70's - JB WorldWide....Outta Sight!

  • Elvis presley selfish ASS really never gave any credit to anyone. He just stole bits and pieces from james brown and other black artist's.

  • @porn1978 and jackie wilson, and no disrespect to elvis because he was a great as well but people praise elvis a little too much about dancing, where do they think he got the moves from? you didn;t see buddy holly or the beatles dancing like elvis did because elvis took moves from black artists

  • @lrwsoreal .....i absolutely agree with you 100%.

  • Someone do a book on his fashion designs--like his jump suit.

  • James Brown gives yet another exciting soulful performance. I can’t get enough of this guy, watching all his video just confirms the impact he had on me, my friends/family…as well as Michael Jackson, Prince, Hammer and George Clinton just to name a few. James Brown will always be the greatest African American entertainer of all time period.

I have been a loyal fan since I was six and I’m in my fifties today.

    R.I.P.

    My Brother

  • Man , just think that smokin hot blond go go dancer is about 70 now.

  • @DrHogfan 322222222

  • there is no other white girls could really dance then get it get it get it jerk

  • Was this brother smooth as butta or what? Good God Almighty! I LOVE HIM!

  • @tarbaby77

During the mid 1960's he was called "Soul Brother Number One"

    by some DJ's.

  • my favorite.

  • dance whitey dance....nerds forever

  • @quatros1

James Brown didn't seem to mind 'em.....

  • @ensconse had no choice in the biz honey...just the times...trust me he did mind but did what he had to do...love the video...just a tale of how people were treated in the land of the free

  • @Familydayphotos

I understand...was really referring to the kids dancin' up a storm.

  • Up tight and out of sight.

    So Boss!!!

  • what a boss performance.

  • I was fortunate enough to have front row seats at the Valley Forge Music Fair to see James Brown....Wilson Pickett opened for him. I cannot put into words how good the show was. But it was Unforgettable !

  • I feel GOOD !

  • A world my generation will never know. :(

  • I've never seen so many girls jerk at the same time. On a separate note, some of us (back in the day) didn't have access to see JB, but clubs had psuedo JBs which was still alot of fun, cape and all.

  • Thank God this man passed our way!

  • @ikedirty318 Damn! I misread your comment.I was going to curse you out.I thought you said Thank god this man passed away.

  • Firme .. Get Down James Brown =}Atm

  • James gave birth to Elvis and MJ LOL... Just like Little richard ,Big Mama Thorton and all those other Artists who couldnt grace the tv screens and album covers back then...and not o mention being ripped off...

  • Thanks to Elvis and Sam Phillips those entertainers finally got recognition.

  • the greatest entertainer of all time..lost between elvis and michael but he was the best and original!!

  • This man was way ahead of his time.

  • yjat kind of groovy dude just the funk timeless

  • ahh, this is one of my favourite James Brown songs! Thanks for posting this up. BTW Them also did a great version of this song.

  • Now that's what I'm talkin' bout!

  • you can totally see where Prince got a lot of his inspiration from...

  • No doubt!!!

  • wig???

  • I'm sure he's funky bout now.

  • funky soul brother james.

  • It would be cool if one or all of these dancers would come on line and chat about being a go go dancer in this golden era and the years after.

  • @durangookid I was thinking the same thing for some time. If fact I'm really actively trying to find one of them, or anyone who used to teach these dances back in the day...I'm producing shows and need dancers....anyone out there think they're up to it?

  • no it wouldnt ,

  • @leeryder111 You want to bed. Go get The T.A.M.I. Show DVD and see him do his thing. The kids went crazy.

  • @laminage i want to bed?!and all of these dancers would be 70/80 years old the only time they will be "online"is in an orbituary

  • Don't recall this classic clip. Very good sound, lotta bottom!!!

  • TV dance shows of the 50s-70s were done to promote the current hit 45rpm records, not to be live concerts. I have a collection of at least 1000-1200 musical performances, and ALL I want are lip synchs!! I want to see the artist performing with the actual recording I could go out and buy at a local record shop the next day!! And I could care less about hearing something I couldn't buy when I was a kid!! Plus James (and Aretha)weren't good at lip synchs anyway, thus the camera angles...

  • I never heard this song before, but I like it!

  • Stacela... if you've never heard this song before, then you have no idea about r&b music or James Brown???

  • Guess not, that because they only play I Feel Good and Pappa's Gotta Brand New Bag on the radio. Without Youtube I never would have discovered this song.

  • If you're really into his songs, a good investmwnt would be his 4 disc Greatest Hits compilation.... Defintely for the collector!!!

  • Nice wig.

  • That was his hair, believe it or not!

  • JB would never lip sync and YES his performance was fantastic as usual. JB was the greatest showman on Earth! RIP and I rest my case! :)

  • Lip synching wasn't his call. The show was certainly on a low budget, and by lip synching, they could provide good quality without fancy equipment.

  • shame its a lip synch-ed

  • what is it with you people who have this big hang-up about lip synched performances? nevermind that the performance is incredible, all you can say is that it's lip synched

  • It IS an awesome performance. I've seen James Brown live and not one song did he lip synch. Even you can watch his other clips here on YouTube and see that he doesn't lip synch. And I can almost be certain to say that he wasnt't the one who wanted to mime here. It was probably the producers who made him do that. To further my case that the performance is poor (and let me reiterate, this is not James Brown's fault), the camera barely focuses on his feet and so we miss his dance moves

  • awesome hair

  • Nobody could move like JB...he was the real king

  • He was lite on his feet back then. I wish he would of continue to dance like this when he got older.

  • Does anyone now the name of this song???

  • The name of the song is "Out Of Sight"

  • lesupreme the title is Out Of Sight 1964. Van Cephus.

  • he was the greatest when he was young oops and old.
