It's just a thought; it might work for you in some situations. I really like your material, in this band and in Lady and the Bass. It just needs different EQ to cut through the mix in a way that people can relate to aesthetically. The muddy bridge pickup tone really kills it. If I need more midrange, I boost it on the amp instead of turning up the bridge pickup; it sounds so much better.
@KillerFridge that depends on your EQ setup, pickups, etc. i play a dean edge 6, and when i use the bridge pickup, it sounds nasal and muddy, and makes an annoying clicking noise every time i pluck or pick a string. you can get better midrange presence using the neck pickup and just turning the mids up on your amp or your bass. i don't know how he sets up his bass and amp, but there's an annoying tone to it. that's just what it sounds like to me; too much bridge pickup.
It would be great if you boosted the treble a little more to bring out the articulation. I don't use the bridge pickup on my bass (I hate the muddy, nasal sound), I crank the treble knob on the bass all the way, and either keep the bass knob half way up or down all the way, depending on the line I'm playing. My video sound is bad (no mids), but listen to my finger piece (Rejection) to see what I mean.
@AttitudeCastle the ABZ 5 string is a standard model. The 6 string is a Prima custom made. I got used to fanned fret in 5 minutes. it's a bit challenging from fret 21 to 24 maybe..
Awesome ! I really like parts like 2:34 where you use the holes in music to make the bass heard (even if with Dingwall, it's always like that =D). And your technic at high speed is really impressive.
sick stuff man

@frankenbat Are you insane? The bridge pickup is the opposite of muddy! It's articulate and full of mid-range growl.

@albertorigoni Also, quick question! Is your Dingwall 6 custom? And how easy is it to play chords along the whole neck? Cheers!
