This song spoke to me the moment I heard it and I couldn't figure out why until I saw his first live performance after his brother died...I have lost more than one close relative, like David has, to a prolonged illness and that is why the song speaks to me...kinda amazing that one song can have so many meanings to so many. it's funny, I heard about this song on a forum for Archuleta. Someone had mentioned how he likes when David moved away from the mic when he sang this song. When I saw him do this song live in Providence, it was amazing. He stepped back from the microphone and just projected his voice out. It was possibly the most amazing moment I've ever been at in a concert. This video doesn't do it any justice at all.

He continually works to improve the songs. Example: I Did It For You live is fantastic-very different from the album version. I've been privileged to speak to him briefly (1 on 1) a couple of times & I can tell you he's the nicest guy you'd ever hope to meet. Just a delight. You're cheating yourself by not going.
