Please, I'm not trying to be critical but there is so much more to be installed in this drill. Having the girls achieve the level of success is primary and it was achieved.

As mentioned in earlier comments: The extension to the drill is to use the correct foot to receive in the direction you are looking to pass to. i.e control right (foot facing next pass) - kick left. etc. Best dill ever though and evident in most game play.

Why wouldn't anyone like this drill for U10 and under? This is a great simple drill that is effective in teaching the game. This is a simple game made difficult by those who play it or more appropriate those who coach it!!!! lol

he really needs to get the girls to receive with the back foot!! and add Head up Look at the persons eyes before you pass to them, then down at ball as you strike the ball same drill can be done with 4 cones to make a square or any shape, following the pass is key! this is a great drill don't let how simple it is fool you. any age group u Coach!!

the key to this drill is using the correct foot for the 1st touch and pass. if you're going counter clock wise (ie to the right), first touch should be the back foot or right foot and pass should be w/ the right foot. If going to left, everthing done w/ the left foot.

This is a great pre-game warm up. You can also move the cones out further with stronger or older kids.

So many kids want to go out and take shots on goal (which is fine) but most of the time spent in a game is spent controlling (or trying to control) the ball with trapping and passing. That is really where the set up for a shot on goal happens and can be the difference between dominating the field and just playing barn yard kick ball.
