Asperger Syndrome is a neurobiological disorder on the higher-functioning end of the autism spectrum. An individual's symptoms can range from mild to severe.
Their IQ's are typically in the normal to very superior range. They are usually educated in the mainstream, but most require special education services.
Because of their naivete, those with AS are often viewed by their peers as "odd" and are frequently a target for bullying and teasing.
just like to sat Well explained, im a trained mental health worker and my 6yr old daughters meltdowns take me and her to the absoulute end of exhaustion, Witnessing her inability to focus and attemp to control her rage in an episode is heart breaking and please to all those other parents stuggling with an aspergeirs child remember they are not monsters but sweet little beings that need Us just to give them unconditional love
WOW thank you i came across your video by chance ( parent of a lovely son with asd ) your video was very in lighting as a parent we some times over look the cause in the panic and we fear for our child not knowing what to do for the best and wondering if we are doing wrong or making it worse " but we also have to be aware that as scared as we are so is the child we are looking over and they are the ones that need our support and also except that we are allowed to make mistakes ".
i think this video is great for those who have loved ones with AS. My daughter was recently diagnosed and for a long time I always thought he meltdowns were temper tantrums. This video has provided some insight.
Could a tantrum eventually turn into a meltdown?

I have AS and I have litteraly fainted when I've had meltdowns. My parents and I wonder if it is some form of epilepsy.
