I think so, I think Xavier plays it in a normal guitar.

Also with the fingers you may play it, but the real feeling si with the slide. But not necessary with a lapguitar.

I might be able to tab it somehow.. Or I can do a video where I play it very slow. Might be easier, I hate tabs :)

What play is probably not 100% correct though.. but at least it should get you started.

This is a really awesome cover, and I've been looking for a tab for this / trying to figure out the tuning so I can do it by ear...so seeing as I've found this, I was wondering if you'd be able to tell me the tuning; if so, that'd be greatly appreciated.

i'm not 100% sure what he uses, but it is a open tuning without third or whatever you call it..like DADDAD, but i think he uses C#BC#C#BC# or something.. but the internal relationships it the point, i think you get it.. :)

Thanks alot. Glad you liked it, it is pretty hard to sing and play the rythm at the same time. But it worked out fairly well.

The guitar is a copy of a Weissenborn, made by Gold Tone. It's the same type of guitar Xavier frequently uses. alltough on this particular song he plays some kind of resonator guitar. The Gold Tone weissenborn is a lot of guitar for the money, but the custom made Tim Kill (I think) that Xavier uses are probably light years better. :)

I just watched the jimmy kimmel live performance of xav and then listen to what he played. A lot of the stuff are pretty easy once you figure out the "base" of it. The hardest part is usually to understand how the guitar is tuned.

Also, it is a matter of taste. Personally I don't care if it is not exactly the same. If you can recognize the song, it's ok for me. So what I'm playing isn't exactly how Xavier plays.
