  • Super Sacreeptioon of Dataaaaaaaaaa

  • I do not speak japan so much that I could say what evary single word means but I know that there is really good belody in this song and it makes me happy :3

  • G_G -.-"

  • When Hanyuu was flying to me i was trying to hug the screen....

    I failed... ;.;

  • GOD PEOPLE DEMONIC IS HIGURASHI XDD

  • <3

  • i loved this anime it was so trippy but sad

  • Wow, there's screaming in the bg yup, this is Higurashi.

  • Listen closely at 1:01 and turn up your speakers

    .___.

  • @WarriorCatTigerLuver What do you think the chants mean?

  • @awildman21 I seriously have no idea. It sounds like a bunch of creepy jibberish to me.

  • o.o I can hear the demonic chants... Oh gawd. -dies-

  • Im listening to this to prepare for Kira!!!!!!!

  • @anmjISAWESOME99 Which is just useless fanservice and nothing to do with the actual series xDD

    Amusing, I suppose though

  • @InusUTAUAccount had it even been released yet?

  • @kittylunamewmew yeah the first 2 arcs have been released this year

  • I am pretty sure 8 people weren't able to change their fate.

  • 1:58 - 2:01

And then we never hear that lovely beat (that actually started this song) again... T_T

  • I love this song~ so pretty

  • oh come on.

Let's not worry and enjoy the anime.

I have a feeling most people (not all, but most) people just hate Rei's ending because they're (spoilers) MionXKeiichi fans and hate RenaXKeiichi XD

  • No problem with the song - just a shame Rei blew so bad. A random collection of skits tied together with a half-assed plot with none of the gore and insanity that makes the show so special.

  • @LoliBMovie Rei was an epilogue, and the "show" is actually a series of novels. With a point. Higurashi isn't a gore fest, the gore is there for shock value in the beginning. Rei did it's purpose, and quite well.

  • @MaddDevoss Higurashi had no need for an epilogue. It's a high-tension show that relies on the comedy and moe only to induce a mood whiplash, and the gore and insanity is not just there for shock, it adds tension and sets the show apart from more conventional series. Ending a thrilling, high-tension ride with a series of skits that make you expect something interesting that never comes, and tying it together with a weak plot at that, is not what makes a good epilogue.

  • @LoliBMovie Except it's not a "show". You're talking about an adaption. It doesn't need to be set apart from other "series", because it's not originally an anime. It does not need to be compared with anime. It is a mystery derivative of the "crying game" genre of visual novels, in which Ryukishi attempted to inject as much shock value as he could into scenes to increase the impact of said scene. Higurashi's true point is not the horror, but the mystery, and the lessons the characters learn.

  • @LoliBMovie Oh, and while we're on the subject of "adaptions", Higurashi as an anime was great, but as an adaption, it's pretty mangled and weak. Rei was no exception. The Rei adaption left alot of things out. The whole purpose of Rei was to tie together various points... for example, it pretty thoroughly explains who Hanyuu is, and her exact relation to Rika. It explains the event that went on in Hinamizawa before Oyashiro-sama's advent. Rei itself served it's purpose.

  • @MaddDevoss I assumed we were talking about the anime, as the discussion started from a video of the OP from Rei. If you want to split hairs, go on, but one of your arguments here is the most ridiculous one I've seen outside of RaptureReady in a long time. "It doesn't need to be set apart from other "series", because it's not originally an anime." So, if we take a game - Tsukihime, with its unspeakably bad anime, would be good - the anime is above all criticism, because it isn't "real" anime?

  • @LoliBMovie You referred to Higurashi as being set apart because of it's "gore and insanity". That's what "makes it so special" right? There's a lot of animes that are just about as bad. This tells me, though, that this was the only reason you were in Higurashi. The lack thereof is a part of your criticism of Rei. The other part of the criticism, the "half-assed plot" I'm assuming refers to 2, 3, and 4 in Rei, because that's the only part that's actually an adaption of Rei itself.

  • @LoliBMovie If that's the case, then yes, it was necessary. I'm not sure if you realized through the bouts of insanity and blood splatter, but a little girl decided she was gonna play god. A lot. She was perfectly fine with this, so long as it meant her survival. It was amazingly, disturbingly selfish when you get right down to it. It was something that did need to be addressed. You can owe the "half assed" part to DEEN.

  • @LoliBMovie And finally, the anime is not above criticism, but considering Rei was about as well structured as the rest of the anime, you can't just sit there and say it was half assed, then praise the rest of the anime. It sits alright as is as an OVA. Since the anime didn't bring up a bunch of important points, Rei didn't feel the need to conclude those important points. It only concluded what the anime brought up.

  • @MaddDevoss Urp. I sense tension here... O.o Originally i wanted to watch Higurashi because of the blood and gore but after a while i realized that i kept watching it because of the messages it carried with it. The anime was amazing in my opinion though i do think that Rei did seem a little pointless in that while it did have some lessons for the characters it seemed to be more of a side story. But please guys, don't fill up the comments with fighting, respect eachothers oppinions! =D

  • @MaddDevoss I did not only watch it for the gore. You're jumping to conclusions here, and it's not a very polite conclusion. It's what gives Higurashi the touch of tension and urgency it needs, together with putting pressure on the characters and giving the show a more surreal air. I am not a fan of, say, Genocyber, even though it has gore. And the part about Rei being well-structured - I do not agree.

  • @MaddDevoss Rei was badly paced, the story was handled clumsily, the priorities of comedy to actual mystery and tension were hopelessly skewed and overall, the so-called epilogue seemed more like a collection of cuts. Some of the same problems hit later episodes of Kai for trying to pace itself like a sound novel, even in the anime medium, but even then it was tolerable. Not so in Rei, which could have been put anywhere but the end of the series. We needed a better ending, and Rei didn't cut it.

  • @MaddDevoss As an adaptation, the anime is actually better than you might think. It's a whole different medium, and the sound novel's many strengths were transplanted seamlessly. The biggest loss is the absence of Keiichi's first person perspective, as it's almost impossible to pull off. The voice acting is stellar, the animation, though budget, holds up nicely - and is much better than what Ryukishi could pull off personally - and the story, even if compressed, is perfectly paced.

  • Lo peta.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG!!! I'm a pretty big fan of the anime too..if only i could get the games too :)

  • GJ!

  • I haven´t watched this anime. But I like Eiko and this song.

  • I havents seen the anime of this song but I just loove it...I am glad my friend give it to me...<3

  • I'm May Haruka shuu in fb

  • the girl at 0:33 reminds me of miku hatsune

  • @jmmaster she does doesn't she? her name is mion though.

  • The intro sounds like something that should be in a Japanese fighting game like Tekken or DOA.

  • is any anime theme song?

  • @animefanaticgirl1 Nope, it's the opening of Higurashi Rei.

  • just finished watching all of higurashi loved it, messed with my head a bit it did but in the end...well im glad i watched it all, epic series i must say

  • Am I the only one who heard the demonic chanting around 1:00 to 1:18? Listen carefully and you can hear a Ra noise.

  • @DJuliaAsawa Nope, loads of people hear it. XD

  • @DJuliaAsawa it doesnt sound like chanting to me I thought it was just part of the song because its posible to hear something similar throughout the song. .-. does it really sound demonic? maybe something is wrong with me >_<

  • @fireheart2star If you slow the song down you can hear it and its fucking creepy. TTATT

  • what anime did this come from

  • @animerulez1993 it came from higurashi, there r 3 sesons the 1st is higurashi no naku kora ni and the 2 is higurashi no naku kora ni kai and the 3rd is higurashi no naku kora rei:3 ur welcome!!!!!<33

  • Things to love about this anime:

-Cute girls who you love to pieces

    -Mysterious vibes

    -Heart-warming moments that turn murderous

    -Funny moments

    Things to hate:

-When your favorite character dies over and over again

Example: Shannon in Umineko dying, Satoko and Rika dying, stuff like that.

  • @BluSecDeputy yeah but shannon stinks >.>

    reasons:

    1. ep 6 of the vn (i used to feel bad for her, after that screw her)

    2. too goody goody

    3. shkanontrice (she and the person that thought that up must die in a fire)

    4. she's furniture.

    5. she just had to go n break the dam mirror. greedy lil...

  • @digitalpiggy193 I was giving an example, I don't mean that I like her enough to say she's a favorite. Sometimes, yeah, I agree, she deserves death but then again, she also deserves a small amount of sympathy before she crumples up into the depth of death. XD

  • @BluSecDeputy nuh uh. no sympathy. her death in ep1 was too leniant! >.<

  • @digitalpiggy193 No one deserves to die and hating someone who is too nice is a terrible reason XD

  • that guitar gives me eargasms every time I hear it

  • I love the sound at 0:35

  • Rika has really long legs.

Shion and Mion has big boobs.

A murder is very gory in this anime.

ROFL everything they have in this anime is exaggerated.

  • @DesuChibi Rika's legs are as long as two of her toros, which is how it is in many animes.

  • @JasperTheDoxie Tokyo Mew Mew, Rozen Maiden, Soul Eater, He is my Master, and so on.

    It's the style I guess.

  • 2:05 Did I just hear "Looney Tune"?!

  • @JasperTheDoxie The Oyashiro-sama curse is affecting your thinking. xD

  • @JasperTheDoxie

XD That's what my little sister thinks, too!

  • It's not a happy song, so much as it's telling you that happiness can lie on the other side of despair and fighting to break fate, that the dream that you can reach for can actually be grasped. It starts out like typical Higurashi openings, downplayed, dark, and then elevates to so much more.

Truly, Eiko is my songstress <3

  • かっけぇ―――ッ!!!

  • Higurashi <3

  • Higurashi > Umineko >:]

Higurashi is one of the best anime ever ^-^

  • @cLcINFERNO671

All up to perspective, really. In my opinion. Umineko > Higurashi, but opinions differ from person to person.

    *nod.*

  • @ChaoticAngel121 Hehe, yupp everybody has what they like. and im totally not against it. If pple say higurashi and umineko sucks i wouldnt care, ill jst agree with them x]. But yea Higurashi and umineko both has the same great artist (Ryukishi07)

    ^^

  • @ChaoticAngel121

    Umineko = Continued Higurashi

    Fredrika = rika

  • DX Hanyuu is soo cute, =D

  • Is it just me or do the songs get happier each season? :P

  • @tdlo123 OMG thank you finaly someone who thinks the same

  • @tdlo123 I think that they get sadder. Although, I think Naraku no Hana is sadder than this.

  • i love the song and the anime an the artist ^^

  • who's the woman at 42 secs??

  • @Sylviechic its Rika Furude c:

  • @Sylviechic no its Rika's mom...

  • @physcology101 It's Rika, purple blue hair, while Rika's mom has dark blue hair...

  • The Higurashi series made me love Eiko's music...she...she's just good.

I don't know what part of her music attracts me, I just love it.

  • frederica bernkastel :3 SHE IS BOSS. :D

  • I AGREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

  • How did I not remember that it was on Higurashi -_- Just heard this on the radio and I was woundering where the hell I had heard it from. Heh, even bigger clue was that characters from Higurashi where talking earlier...

  • I really love the beat.

  • i havietnt even gone this far . i've only finished season one and kinda started season 2 but i'm scared to go on @_@

  • @AliceSinfulAi

Then you musn't have seen THAT eisode yet......

    Oh well!

  • @marixdella why did you emphasized " THAT "

does that mean i should go on or not? O_O

  • I think she means...episode 21 o.o

Just to let you know, its erm...the most violent episode in the whole series.

  • @spyrogall ...o.o really....that is umm interesting...thanks for letting me know

  • don't watch it if you think Rena is kinder when killing than the others.

    Wasn't it episode 23?At any rate,don't skip,it's a pretty much inportant episode...if i recall

  • yes THE episode where Renadoes something HORRIBLE to some guy's head XD

    episode 23 i think..;..

  • @AliceSinfulAi season 2 and 3 are nowhere near as gruesome as season 1

  • @pyroflasher so....season2 and 3 arient as bad as the first? O_O

  • @AliceSinfulAi nope. i can't tell you much with out spoiling, but season 2 focuses on how to stop things from going wrong, where as 3 is more of things that happen after things are all fixed.

  • @pyroflasher actually wasn't season 3 more of a " what if..?" situation?

  • @vaan123456789 Well Kinda. The one serious arc was a what if situation, but it actually wasn't a new timeline, It was a dream sequence created by hanyu for rika. but that and the other two episodes all took place after the fact.

  • @pyroflasher true lol i was just being careful not spoil anything

  • 0:47

    Sheesh, Satoko. So angry-lookin

  • 1:07 the look on Hanyuu's face. Priceless

  • YES! 200 rater XD! This is awsome!

  • I just watched higurashi episode one after finishing this series a while ago, and the animation is so much better here. I love it~<3

But I still like Umineko a bit more. Probably because, well, two words: medieval choir. 8D

  • Official english lyrics:

    Shall I tell you?

Promise me you wont tell anyone else, okay

Lets pinky promise; if you lie swallow a thousand needles

While its still folded up unfold the wriggling story

And show it to me, past and future
