  • This is the worst instructional i've ever seen...

  • Your using your upper body more because your posture is bad.

  • i like to run barefoot

  • i think she meant you use your toes when sprint racing, thats the only time you use your toes . You should not use your toes if you are running the way she showed on the video.

  • C is beautiful!!!!

  • youtube.com/user/McAlisterMom

The Great Race! There is always a first!

  • i just want to suggest selling your gears at pabenta dot com

  • i like the way she says faster

  • Distance training is impossible to quantify in a system of "levels." There's no such thing as "advanced" running, in which you're finally 'allowed' to run on your toes. Running is a cumulative development. Your body will know what to do when it improves. Running on your toes isn't something you only do in races, as she puts it. It's a drill, not a technique. Running is patience in involuntary improvement. These videos, especially with the man with the giant shirt collar, are awful sources.

  • @suxctf I don't need to write a comment on this video, you wrote exactly what I have in mind.

    Thank you

  • But what am I supposed to do when I finish a race? Oh wait...she couldn't tell me.

  • oh christ on a bike...I've never heard someone talk so much rubbish whilst attempting to sound like a subject matter expert.

  • "that's an advanced technique PURELY FOR RACING".

    LOLOLOLOLOL!

Hang on, I'm about to go post a video on how to land the Space Shuttle PURELY FOR EMERGENCIES. While I'm at it, I'm going to make sure I look NOTHING like an astronaut.

  • this lady is full of lousy advice, as another user said

in this example it seems like she wouldn't even run regularly herself

stupid bitch wanting to tell us marathon runners how to run properly

should know her place, the kitchen, and bring us a fucking beer

  • What she means about running on your toes - i.e balls of feet - is that you need to get to a certain level of strength and fitness before you can run with that technique.

If you're trying to work your VO2 max, or get good mileage in - you don't want to run on the balls of your feet too often

  • plz be nice. she's just trying to help right?

  • yeh but do you really want to be helped by someone who knows nothing about what they're teaching?

  • LOL. Tell me, does she look like a runner? Expert Village needs to be sued to change their name to Poser Village.

  • @gfreeman556

Totally - honestly, how many experts come out of villages? Mostly inbred, if you ask me - especially in the East Anglian region.

  • i think shes doing it wrong

  • jack!

  • jiberish

  • Dumbass "expert".

  • always run on your toes, you walk and jog heel toe but you run toe heel

  • Her best time me thinks would be way over 4 hours, so maybe not the best person to advise - get some Kenyans expert village who we could respect...

  • Heel to toe good bye knees

  • i like to run with my arms stuck to my body and wave my palms and pretend im a bird

  • Nice.

  • This sea hag knows nothing about running.

  • She is so unqualified to be speaking on this.

What's hilarious is she looks so much more comfortable and efficient running on her mid-foot in this video as compared to her video where she is running with the ridiculous heel-to-toe method.

  • If I run on my toes I fall headlong into the ground. It is virtually impossible to run on your toes!! Forefoot is more like it. Either way this lady is full of lousy advise, steer clear.

  • Great

  • she deserves a good spanking

  • what a Raaaaaaaandy!

  • :p lol!

  • This woman is cute but a menace to society with all her backwards-@ss technique teaching. She is so clueless it's painful to watch.

  • ....you NEVER want to run on your heels or toes....when you are sprinting yes you try to STAY on your toes but you dont actually want to RUN on your toes...

  • WOW

  • forefoot and midfoot landing is what i meant to write but i left out the word midfoot!

of course - you don't run on your toes - or your heels!!!!

  • amen Roshibear!!! - heel strike is never the preferred way to run!

forefoot landing is the way to go ... other viewers of this clip - PLEASE look up the various youtube "chi" running clips - most of them are very instructive.

The cute, enthusiastic gal in this vid (with the red top) seems to be a very nice person but she truly is not a running instructor - although i wouldn't mind teaching her! :-)

  • This is as bad as the adivce in the swimming videos. The foot and lower leg are designed to land on the balls and mid section of the feet. That's what all those elastic tendons are for. Heel strikes damage your body and waste energy you could have used to propell you forward.

I've got to check out this other video, because you should be sued for telling people to strike with their heels. It is not only inefficent but actually destructive. In other words a really stupid thing to do.

  • Thanks.

  • all i saw was that sweet gto in the background

  • yeah I saw that. Descent trunk space but small headlights.

  • lol! Pay attention!
