if you wanna mountain biking it is NESESSARY to bring along such a huge backpacks , containing = food , drink , repair kits , first-aid kit , ( in case in an emergency ) etc , just like what Equinoxe89 mentioned above , sometime during the WORSE SCENARIO the huge backpacks can even SAVE OURS LIVE TOO !!!
I don't get why people downrated this. He was only asking a question. They have such huge backpacks, because they're biking like 8-10 hours a day there. You need your food, repair materials etc etc with you, that's why they have such huge backpacks. they're in the middle of nowhere the most part of the day.
wow that looks like some amazing fun i was wondering one how you delt with having to pump up tires on the trail and two what tire you would recomend for a treck like that
Hi! We used a Panasonic Lumix FZ-30 which is not a helmet cam but a photo camera with video function. I put the camera around my neck and fixed it with the straps of my backpack. Simple, but it works ;-)
Das macht richtig Lust - `hab noch drei Wochen, dann starte wir auch zur Transalp. ´kanns kaum noch erwarten. Deine Homepage ist auch vom feinsten! viele Grüße Walter
i am planning a trip to the french alps for mountain biking. WOuld you reccomend mont blanc as a good starting point. Can you ride all the way from the top of the tallest mountain in mont blanc? I would probably carry oxygen as back up. Is mont blanc the best riding in france. I am after downhill and also nice single track. cheap places to stay also. from photos france looks better than whistler as whistler bike park looks too man made.
the first track is from rob dougan and called furious angles. actually it is part of "the matrix" soundtrack, but we cut together two different parts from the track.. ;-)
That, was possibly the best composed video, I have ever seen on YouTube! Great footage, and outstanding editing. 5/5 stars for sure, and favorited! This video makes me want to go riding mine, to bad it's like 9 at night right now :(
i myself ride a lapierre x-control 713 since last summer, flow has a specialized stumpjumper and unfortunately some prick stole christoph's canyon nerve f8 on our way home... :(
We proudly present our new video of this summers tour through the western alps. This year we started in Martigny in swiss, went along the south side of Mont Blanc, got up to 3300m (!!) on Col Lauson near Gran Paradiso and made our way up to the south side of Monte Rosa.
Some beautiful photos are also online. If you are looking for more information please contact us on our website. Please check "About this Video" for web-links!
Hay mate. Very very cool. How long did it take to do this and where could i find information about this ride!
