Looks like the fire-to-hydrant is SOP in motor city.

One big advantage with this type of lay is all the pumer traffic in front of the building is eliminated.

Trucks won't have to fight for space.

@ntfd125 DFD engines run a 2 1/2 supply to a gated wye, which feeds a 200' 1 1/2" attack line (Depending on the district, some engine companies run 150'). The second bundle is also a 200' attack line for the second engine company to use.
