A música realmente atravessa fronteiras e une pessoas. Uma beleza de canção. Uma voz e seu sentimento que nos encanta. Um presente que hoje ganhei, ao escutar algo tão mágico. Obrigada.
I dont understand the language, but it is such a beautiful and amazing song. Music has no boundaries, i've always believe this. Despite whatever language/ genre the music is, so long its able to touch you from deep within, it is a good music.
I've been listening to this song for months now. I can't stop listening, it's so beautiful. I love the singer as well. Ms. Tanya Lubimenko has a beautiful voice.
I don't speak Czech, but seems like their alphabet is the most precise one, as for the Ukrainian transliteration. Something like that: Oj, ti mísácú, Ja zíroňka jasna. Oj, ti parubok, Ja dívčina krasna. Oj, ti parubok, Ja dívčina krasna, U višnevím sadu, Ja ž tobí koná pasla. Oj, pasla, pasla, Iz večora do pivnočí, Prepala rosa, Na moї krasní očí.
Thank you for supplying the words and translation. It is, I know, very difficult to take folk idioms from one language to another, but what I don't get is does this hazel eyed beauty want to marry the kozak or not? Maybe she just likes him for his horse!
Actually the full version of this song is longer. And there are different versions. She afraid the temptation to lost her wreath too early before marriage (with Cossack!!!) and eventually all ended well.
Thank you for your kind comment. I do have the lyrics but in Ukrainian only. I will shortly post them in the information box. I don't speak Ukrainian so am unable to supply a translation, suffice it to say that it is a love song sung by a beautiful young hazel eyed girl (as she describes herself) to a young horseman with whom she is enamoured.
If you check the upload dates you will see that mine was cloned one day after I uploaded it. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and I will take it as such, but I assure you that you are with the original and best!

It`s a love song..Very cosmogonic..About love, that our galaxy can not measure...Words are not the main. The main - is energy..I`m ukrainian...

Ha-Ha. Who knows woman's hart?

My English is very poor. Actually I never speak it. So I try my best.
Oh you moon I am bright star
Oh you lad I am bonnie lass
In cherry garden I herded your horse
I herded your horse from еvening till midnight
until dew fell upon my hazel eyes
not so on my eyes as on my fair plait (braid)
Cossack's hart I'll not wear out my wreath
To loose wreath means to get married. Hazel eyes, fair plait, dew which fall must be some poetisms like bonnie lass (thats standard folk idiomas).
