  • Last thing Bruce said......just getting warmed up here!! That's one of the great things about those shows back then. He wore us out. We couldn't get enough of that heaven back then. That was our time if you're about 50 like me!!

  • Wow is right! You could see the bond between them and it lasted more than 3 decades. I first saw them in 1977, a little over a year before this video.

  • Wow, what a performance. What great chemistry Bruce and Clarence had. Irreplacable. It'll surely be sorely missed. Bruce, thanks for sharing the big man with us, and, thank you for this fun video.

  • This is how music should sound. Kudos Bossman!

  • Hey Jersey Boy No one can ever steal your Thunder.

When you hit 70, you will still be saying "I'm just getting warmed up here"

  • I have grown up listening to Bruce Springsteen, and I know every one of his songs. I am an admitted metalhead. I have never forgotten my roots, and I can say without hesitation that this is by far the greatest song ever written.

  • Did they not play Jungleland at this show or is it just not on YouTube?

  • @thewhochilipeppersU2 They played it on this concert, but it's not complete

  • RIP Clarence :'(

  • I still have my tee shirt from this show, was I every that young!??!

    , wow

  • That amazing piano intro, life is worth living just to hear this song... Thanks Bruce.

  • That amazing piano intro, life is worth living just to hear this song... Thanks Bruce.

  • I remember seeing him around this time, either at MSG or the Meadowlands, and he ended the song with "town for losers, we're pulling out of here to win.......Tonight!" and he said the Tonight while pointing out to the audience. Of course I felt he was looking right at ME.

  • Just like life... The door's open, but the ride ain't free !

  • never tire of this song. after 30 yrs as a fan managed to catch him on the red carpet in london last week (here for the premier of the promise), and say thank you for the music. looking forward to many more years of music , tours and inspiration

  • I Love It....I Love it.....I love it......

  • Probably the best song ever written

  • The BOSS!!

  • Long Life Bruce!!!!

  • I agree, this is THE SONG!!! Thanks Bruce!!!

  • Classic powerslide at 5:06!

  • Always wondered how only the sound of Roy and Bruce could make the best song ever!

    Pure poetry indeed.

The line that says it all for this song is: "We got one last chance to make it real, to trade in these wings on some wheels".

  • @jowbowla It's a beautiful line!!:-)

  • This is powerful full of feelings. One of my favorite songs! Best song ever written!

Brilliant, poetic and beautiful!! Great vid!!

  • @liligutie Thank you Lili:-)

  • magnificent! what zeal and what strenght! :-)

  • @brurosie great song!! Thanks Rosie:-)

  • The beginning of this song is one of the most effectives beginnings ever... Screen door slams, Mary's dress waves, like a vision she dances across the porch as the radio plays. It really renders greatly the atmosphere

  • great song, if not the greatest song.

  • I repeat,,,,this is not a song,this is THE song!

  • @EddiEstreet08 Excectly!!..:-)

  • Great stuff as usual!! The crowd cheering at the sound of the harmonica is fantastic!!

  • @BoatmanCalling Yes, it's great to hear it again and again.....

  • One of the best songs ever!! "Roll down the window and let the wind blow back your hair". Classic!!! :)

  • @TheEdMulrooneyShow The sceen door slams....Roy Orbison singing for the lonely, hey that's me and I want you only.....you know just what I'm here for.....

  • @MsBrucejuice "You aint no beauty but hey, you're alright - and that's alright with me" has always been my favorite line of any of Bruce's songs. It's like Obama said; He only went for the presidency because Bruce had already taken the job as Boss :)

  • @jensfup It's pure poetry!!

  • This song is simply marvellous !

  • @Tipsie79 Yes, it is, one of the most beautiful songs!!
