  • Ensonic,

I noticed you post at the iracing forums. I have hit an issue with the shifter i bought and would appreciate your input.

Can i ask that you pop over to the iracing forums and have a look at my thread called

"Sequential Shifter Build Assistance" in the Hardware section on the iRacing forums.

    Cheers

    Marcus.

  • Hi Ensonic. I am very interested in how you did this mod. I have a possibility of picking up a BMW 3 series e46 shifter for a good price but i am concerned about my ability to carry out the mod to convert it for sim racing.

Do you have a construction video or instructions so that i can check whether i think it is in my ability to take this project on or do yo have any ideas as to whether it is possible to carry it out with the shifter i have listed.

    Cheers

    Meurig.

    Hi,

it MUST be a STEPTRONIC Shifter. Only with this version you can shift up / down seq. in real life. We use it's two microswitches. Only connect the cables coming from these switches to a USB Controller (Brodnar, are one from a cheap USB gamepad )

That should work perfectly. If you need help, feel free to leave me a PM here ;-)

lol, i am just trawling the iRacing cockpit forums and i have found yours there.. If i need help i may fire questions at you on the iRacing forums instead.

1st question is can i wire the micro switches to a ps2 cable and connect it straight to thr port on my Fanated PWTS instead of using a USB gamepad or bodnar board?

  • @Ensonic13

where do you buy this awsome shifter I will connect it to my game controller like my diy fly off handbrake
