About IV, two identical newly hatched pokemon with the same nature DO have differences in stat points, don't they mean anything? Doesn't the pokemon with the higher stat points for attack have higher IV for attack?
@TaterBot1000 Traded for it. If you're crafty you can RNG one in DP, but that's a bit harder with the Pokeradar and whatnot. In Plat, it's not too bad, and in HGSS, it's downright easy.

@IzzyRamirez7 Heh, this is actually an easy fix. Just insert a 3rd gen GBA Pokemon cartridge and it will shift. In the old games, you would have a situation like this: You only hit odd delays but need to hit an even delay. You'd insert a GBA Pokemon game, and now you can only hit even delays. Take it out again, you'll be back to odd.
@ThePunishernr1 You can do Black/White and Emerald (I will never put up a guide for Emerald, so before anyone asks...). Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red, and Leaf Green are their own beasts and require an emulator to abuse. As such, I will not put up a video on them.

@IzzyRamirez7 I assume you know but you can't SR for natures. You have to start it all over i.e. take/throw away the egg that gives you a naughty Squirtle. Then save at Fight/Survival Area. The thing that could go wrong (that you got it naughty) could be the happiness taps or the coin flips. It could also be that your ID or SID is wrong. A tips is to do the happiness taps first, I've heard it won't work if you move around in your game with it on your pokétch.
You say for first time abusers you should have frame range from 5 to 17. However, mine are ALL 3, and I can't find one that does not have 3 as the frame. I am using Platinum, a DSi AR, and my second is 16 and my frame range is 600-610. How does this affect what I'm doing?
@UltraElectronicsTeam It doesn't. I didn't think too hard about the frame range. Even at that point, I've had it down to one before. Proceed as usual.
ehh sorry, but another question. In the "Seconds and Delay Ranges" you put 10, but in the min and max Delays you put 621 for both, so, shouldn't the "Seconds and Delay Ranges" be 0?
@disembark I think you misunderstand what that window does. It does not set relative ranges. It finds the seeds that have the delay and seconds value that you want to hit that you've specified. I also think you might not be understanding what the "seconds" means. It's not how many seconds it took for you to load the game, but the actual time of the seed. For example: "10:36:37" would have a seconds value of 37. You'd then subtract your calibrated seconds value to know when to load

Do you have to hit the EXACT delay? But i think i'm forgetting about coin flips...

If your target tim eis 22:03:10, you'd need to reset at 22:02:57, load the actual save file at the target time, and make sure 621 delay has been achieved. You need to hit the exact delay. Coin flips are only for seed confirmation after you pick up your egg (at least with regards to IVs)
@bearsfan092drums ya, i made a mistake i meant the opposite way around with the times. After I confirm multiple times with the coin flip (with or without hatching the egg?). I should try hitting the correct frame and there should be my expected IVs, unless there is something else i'm missing.
@disembark No, you should be hitting your frame when you collect the egg. The IV's are already set once you take it. You can use your coin flip app after you have the egg to check your seed. By doing that, you don't need to hatch the egg to find out if you missed your seed.
So I have a party of 5 pokemon and I am saved in front of a patch of grass where I can catch a lv. 50 pokemon. The Poketech app is NOT the happiness checker and my parents are in my party. I use the RNG reporter to find my seed. I then plug in the nature I want as well as the ability I want. I then select generate and I chose the egg I want. I follow the directions for the taps and such and fly to the day care and deposit my pokemon. None are foreign or are holding an item.
I made sure that the method is DPPt Egg PID normal. However, when I get my egg it is completely wrong. Why would this be? Do I need my SID to do this, or just my ID?
@carrotfoot64 Well, keep in mind that if the happiness check app is open and you reload the map (going through a door, flying, etc). That adds an additional click essentially. Turning away from the happiness app will do the same thing, as will turning to it (RNGreporter accounts for turning to and from the happiness app, which is why you should do happiness taps first). I'd guess that you're flying away with the happiness checker running.
I am not. I switch to the coin flip app to do the coin flippin'. Should I switch out of that app, too?\
Also, can I do the first step of saving in front of the DCM with an egg with the correct gender/ability/nature without doing the flips and such? Would an everstone work?
So how are you meant to do this without hacking? The whole reason for RNGing is surely to be able to battle competitively without being called a hacker or glitcher, but there's no wild pokemon in HGSS high enough level to get the IVs from...
@Valdraya Sorry, but with the IV calculator I meant that you had to raise them up yourself with Rare Candies or else by training them and tracking EV's. It is still possible.

@WonderDKC This isn't cheating. It's completely legal within the game, all you're even doing is changing the DS time. And if you don't like it, don't do it, but don't condemn those who do.
@PLURadelphia Well, the RNG basically is what made it possible for me to play Pokemon and have a life lol. I'd rather spend 2 hours setting it up, and 15 minutes per pokemon rather than the 15+ hours it would take to get a good breed in the past, ya know?
@TonyAndKieransChanel There's no such thing as a hex flawless adamant ditto, sorry. It is possible to have a quint flawless with some non-31 stat in Special Attack, but I don't have one as I never needed it.

@ryankam2 Yes, in the sense that the pokemon are not hacked. Everything is fully generated by the game, within the game's rules. There aren't any outside devices influencing the game. RNGreporter is essentially a big calculator.
Hey, I just had a quick question about the video. I'm a hardcore breeder, and I'm not really too interested in doing the whole process for hatching perfect pokemon, since I have an easy time soft resetting. However, finding an egg with the right ability/nature has proved troublesome. I see you've done this in the video. And my question is, do I need to calibrate the delay and stuff and frames to just get the nature and ability I want?
great video, helped me A LOT!!! What I have been having difficulty with though is getting a flawless Ditto somewhere, do you know a person on smogon or somewhere else that I could trade with for one? If not its ok, just figured you might cause you said you were using one in the video.
I get the same problem as IxFrozenTombxl. My coin flips in the game don't match the ones I am supposed to get from "coin flips for seed". I have 5 pokemon in the party, and I use an action replay to find the IVs of the first wild pokemon I get, and input the date and time correctly, and do the poketch taps correctly too. The weather was normal and I did not start at the happiness checker. Is it because I was using a different version of the RNG reporter? I'm using v8.30. What am I doing wrong?
@gravelrockss Also, I don't get the nature I'm supposed to get even though I carry out the poketch taps correctly. So I do it randomly. However, I can successfully get my frame number from the rng reporter. I'd really, really appreciate it if you tell me what I'm doing wrong.
@gravelrockss No, 8.3 makes no difference. Start the game on the coin flip app. I think that you are passing over the happiness app, and if you don't do it quickly enough (if it loads at all), turning to/away the happiness app advances the IRNG, which would screw you up.
My egg PID keeps generating wrong. As far as I know I followed all your directions. I know that my second is 14, and my delay is between 594-600(even). I do the happiness taps and coin flips right. Is there something advancing my frame that Im not thinking of? One thing I noticed is the "Coin Flips for Seed" in the bottom right hand corner dont match with my actual results. Does that mean Im calculating the seed wrong?
@MrPetemike Projectpokemon or pojo have all the codes you need. Some of them are lame though and promote pure hacking, but there are some legitimately useful codes.
@illsy2 what i think bearsfan092drums means is that if you rng for iv's/shiny pokemon is that if you try to use a pokemon you got by using a A.R. in a PBR WI-FI it will not let you use it cause it was hacked but if you got a pokemon Bby RNGing it will still count as being legit meaning you can use it on pbr's wi-fi battles or tournaments!

Umm... I already have the egg and such with the right nature and shininess... is it fine if I start abusing IVs now or do I have to start over and find everything BEFORE I put in the IVs.
@ArSYniiC Yep, it's fine to begin doing this, but make sure you know the IV's of the parents and what order you put them in. Otherwise, you're good to go.
I hard reset. Just make sure when calibrating that you start the game at :00 so you know your seconds value. The idea behind calibration is to get the information that works for you regardless of your setup.

What happens if you cannot soft reset? My DS Lite is pretty brand new over a year old. And for some reason my left trigger doesn't work for shit and it clicks perfectly normal but it doesn't respond to the DS sometimes it does but most of the time NO. This really ticks me off. Is there anything else then soft reset?
I've been doing this for quite some time now, my first attempt was successful but my second attempt is driving me nuts. My game is saved at Frame 3. My Target Frame is 65. So I figured the number of Journal flips I'd have to do is 31. Each one of my Journal pages says I caught a Wild Pokemon. But for some reason, when I hatch the egg and check my results, I land on a different frame. Last time I landed on Frame 43, can anyone help me figure this out?
Landing on frame 43 seems odd. It indicates you've done 20 flips rather than 31. Make sure the page has a caught/defeated (not traded) pokemon on it, and count carefully.
This happened about 3 times, I made sure I did exactly 31 flips. But I think I should've verified the frame at least 3 times. I did it twice and got 3, but after trying a few more times, I realized I must've been a frame early when I did the journal flips. Thanks anyway (= Great vid, it's soooo helpful.
One time when I was doing the initial seed step, the pokemon that showed up by Sweet Scent was Zapdos. It didn't work though. I'm not sure why but what I'm guessing is that I encountered it once before. It's affected by the seed differently since I think its stats are set upon the first encounter?
Yeah, if you don't have a flawless ditto, you need at least a few flawless IV's beforehand. If you have a flawless parent, just find a spread that has A/A/A or B/B/B. They aren't very hard to find.
I got mine from projectpokemon. However, they locked up their forums to those not registered, so I couldn't get you the code, but I bet they haven't changed that.
No. That shouldn't affect it at all. Just make sure you aren't doing the catch a wild pokemon thing in anywhere with weather. Weather fucks with the process somehow in ways I don't understand.
Also, I'm now trying to get the frame but most of the times the RNG reporter told me that the pokemon stats were false and the only one time it has actually worked, I've got a seed with 0 second and I haven't found any matching frame.
Do you have any idea about what I am doing wrong ? And also, do I need to use ID/SID as you did in the video ?
Make sure you start up the game quickly enough. For stats, RNGreporter will only look so far for a seed. It's possible to hit seeds with 0 seconds if you hit continue at xx:xx:00. Have you done calibration yet?
Ask someone else in possession of an AR with the SID Check code (there is one for checking the SID of a pokemon). Trade them a pokemon with your ID and get the SID from them.
But according to smogon, it tells you to change your time a min before your target time and stuff. I downloaded the shiny finder program cause it seems like it would save alot of time. I just dont get that part, either Im stupid or Im doing something wrong.

Then you say load that many seconds before the "target time". I read Smogon 100x And i still do not understand this Target Time. Smogon does not EXPLAIN how to get your target time. After I got the egg, I catched a wild pm and put it in the DPPt seed finder, the seed, seconds, and delays match the desired spread, so I think I hit the target time, delays, seconds, flip sequence, and frame correctly, but the result didn't match.

I think RNG abuse is beyond you. There are plenty of others who have managed. If you are dead set on this, you should visit Smogon's forums and read the RNG abuse written guides, which this video was based off of. Read those thoroughly, give them shot, then ask for personal help on those forums.
What's the IV check code that shows unhatched pokemon IVs in your bag? The code I use right now only shows the IVs of all pokemon except for hatched pokemon. This forces me to hatch the egg right there in Salaceon Town. I would rather hatch them in a custom area that looks more suitable to the pokemon that hatched. Thanks.
I counted the seconds it took from sort resetting to hit continue = 14 seconds. The second value in Calibration Phase must equal to 14, right? And I got delays 594-604.

I always get between 590-610 as a delay. The frame I see where I choose my target IV spread on the Time Finder is the target frame right? I'm just trying to get to the bottom of why I never get my target IV spread. I've played with it forever and forever.
Also could you answer how many seconds it takes from hitting Start on the Action replay screen to when the delays stats happening. It would be nice to know this since I have to Synchronize my DS with my comp clock and this is the other thing that I think could be messing me up.
This should be irrelevant. If you hit the red AR start button at 00 and keep mashing A consistently, you should hit a certain delay/second combo. That's the idea behind calibration, to find out how long it takes no matter what the configuration is.

Not necessarily. LF's ditto (one of the most common all-31 dittos) is from a US game, so it won't be considered international if you are using a US game. If you were using a Japanese cart for example, then it would be considered international.
Ignore that last bit, I found a good one. My ne concern is that when I input the IV's and nature, it never works. I have to resort to capturing a level 50 and inputing the stats to RNG Reporter. ANy reason why the IV input simply will not work?

@ryankam2 Yes, in the sense that the pokemon are not hacked. Everything is fully generated by the game, within the game's rules. There aren't any outside devices influencing the game. RNGreporter is essentially a big calculator.

Hey, I just had a quick question about the video. I'm a hardcore breeder, and I'm not really too interested in doing the whole process for hatching perfect pokemon, since I have an easy time soft resetting. However, finding an egg with the right ability/nature has proved troublesome. I see you've done this in the video. And my question is, do I need to calibrate the delay and stuff and frames to just get the nature and ability I want?

I get the same problem as IxFrozenTombxl. My coin flips in the game don't match the ones I am supposed to get from "coin flips for seed". I have 5 pokemon in the party, and I use an action replay to find the IVs of the first wild pokemon I get, and input the date and time correctly, and do the poketch taps correctly too. The weather was normal and I did not start at the happiness checker. Is it because I was using a different version of the RNG reporter? I'm using v8.30. What am I doing wrong?

@gravelrockss No, 8.3 makes no difference. Start the game on the coin flip app. I think that you are passing over the happiness app, and if you don't do it quickly enough (if it loads at all), turning to/away the happiness app advances the IRNG, which would screw you up.

My egg PID keeps generating wrong. As far as I know I followed all your directions. I know that my second is 14, and my delay is between 594-600(even). I do the happiness taps and coin flips right. Is there something advancing my frame that Im not thinking of? One thing I noticed is the "Coin Flips for Seed" in the bottom right hand corner dont match with my actual results. Does that mean Im calculating the seed wrong?

@illsy2 what i think bearsfan092drums means is that if you rng for iv's/shiny pokemon is that if you try to use a pokemon you got by using a A.R. in a PBR WI-FI it will not let you use it cause it was hacked but if you got a pokemon Bby RNGing it will still count as being legit meaning you can use it on pbr's wi-fi battles or tournaments!

I hard reset. Just make sure when calibrating that you start the game at :00 so you know your seconds value. The idea behind calibration is to get the information that works for you regardless of your setup.

What happens if you cannot soft reset? My DS Lite is pretty brand new over a year old. And for some reason my left trigger doesn't work for shit and it clicks perfectly normal but it doesn't respond to the DS sometimes it does but most of the time NO. This really ticks me off. I've been doing this for quite some time now, my first attempt was successful but my second attempt is driving me nuts. My game is saved at Frame 3. My Target Frame is 65. So I figured the number of Journal flips I'd have to do is 31. Each one of my Journal pages says I caught a Wild Pokemon. But for some reason, when I hatch the egg and check my results, I land on a different frame. Last time I landed on Frame 43, can anyone help me figure this out?

Landing on frame 43 seems odd. It indicates you've done 20 flips rather than 31. Make sure the page has a caught/defeated (not traded) pokemon on it, and count carefully.

This happened about 3 times, I made sure I did exactly 31 flips. But I think I should've verified the frame at least 3 times. I did it twice and got 3, but after trying a few more times, I realized I must've been a frame early when I did the journal flips. Thanks anyway (= Great vid, it's soooo helpful.

One time when I was doing the initial seed step, the pokemon that showed up by Sweet Scent was Zapdos. It didn't work though. I'm not sure why but what I'm guessing is that I encountered it once before. It's affected by the seed differently since I think its stats are set upon the first encounter?

Yeah, if you don't have a flawless ditto, you need at least a few flawless IV's beforehand. If you have a flawless parent, just find a spread that has A/A/A or B/B/B. They aren't very hard to find.

No. That shouldn't affect it at all. Just make sure you aren't doing the catch a wild pokemon thing in anywhere with weather. Weather fucks with the process somehow in ways I don't understand.

Also, I'm now trying to get the frame but most of the times the RNG reporter told me that the pokemon stats were false and the only one time it has actually worked, I've got a seed with 0 second and I haven't found any matching frame.

Make sure you start up the game quickly enough. For stats, RNGreporter will only look so far for a seed. It's possible to hit seeds with 0 seconds if you hit continue at xx:xx:00. Have you done calibration yet?
ID/SID only matters for shininess.

Ask someone else in possession of an AR with the SID Check code (there is one for checking the SID of a pokemon). Trade them a pokemon with your ID and get the SID from them.

I have talked to a few pro RNG abusers already and they say I already know everything. I have also already looked at the RNG guides on Smogan. Hitting the delay is just a matter of mashing A as fast as you can and hoping you hit your most consistent delay obtained during calibration.

After I got the egg, I catched a wild pm and put it in the DPPt seed finder, the seed, seconds, and delays match the desired spread, so I think I hit the target time, delays, seconds, flip sequence, and frame correctly, but the result didn't match.

I think RNG abuse is beyond you. There are plenty of others who have managed. If you are dead set on this, you should visit Smogon's forums and read the RNG abuse written guides, which this video was based off of. Read those thoroughly, give them shot, then ask for personal help on those forums.

What's the IV check code that shows unhatched pokemon IVs in your bag? The code I use right now only shows the IVs of all pokemon except for hatched pokemon. This forces me to hatch the egg right there in Salaceon Town. I would rather hatch them in a custom area that looks more suitable to the pokemon that hatched. Thanks.

I counted the seconds it took from sort resetting to hit continue = 14 seconds. The second value in Calibration Phase must equal to 14, right? And I got delays 594-604.
→found frame 5. →go to DPPt time finder and set: year 2009, month 11, second 14, Frames 5-11, Delays 594-604, and all IVs =31, and check odd/even box, then hit generate,yes?
Then it gives me only 3 seeds. If I hit the right target time, collect the egg, and flip coins. The coin flips result will match the flip sequence, yes?

Don't count seconds. Take the seconds value from the calibration window and don't question it as long as it's consistent. The rest is accurate.

This should be irrelevant. If you hit the red AR start button at 00 and keep mashing A consistently, you should hit a certain delay/second combo. That's the idea behind calibration, to find out how long it takes no matter what the configuration is.
P.S. It's about 6 seconds.

Not necessarily. LF's ditto (one of the most common all-31 dittos) is from a US game, so it won't be considered international if you are using a US game. If you were using a Japanese cart for example, then it would be considered international.

Ignore that last bit, I found a good one. My ne concern is that when I input the IV's and nature, it never works. I have to resort to capturing a level 50 and inputing the stats to RNG Reporter. ANy reason why the IV input simply will not work?
