john has a much better falsetto than anthony, which lets him sing the high back up parts. It is a shame that he left RHCP, but Josh can sing too, give him a listen, hes can still do a good job at back up. Also, Anthony's voice has gotten a lot better since the 90s, he can actually sing now. Only problem is that the only time i ever heard anthony use a falsetto was once during a live performance of scar tissue.
