in the american version did you have to hit the wall to get the ladder or was it just laying around already? since it was along time ago i last beat it i got stuck not figuring out were the ladder were... well took me a few hours this time but those were really awesomely worth it!!

i beat this game so many times in the 80s, back before you could save games, had to leave the nintendo on while i took breaks, sometimes someone would accidentally turn it off..... of course it was also long before the internet so you had to receive clues on how to do stuff from friends if you got stuck, the friends that subscribed to nintendo power magazine usually lol

The music in most of those weird rooms (like in the very beginning) is so depressing to me for some reason. I have this game on NES but as a kid I never got too far in it. It was pretty damn hard and too easy to get lost. Then again, you can say that about many other NES games as well.

i always thought the same thing, but it turns out there was another goonies game before this one. THAT game never saw distribution outside of japan, thus making this game its sequel.

I never beat the game, so I assumed that "Annie" was a misspelling of Andy, Brand's girlfriend from the movie. Instead she's a (very out of place) mermaid with no boobs.

Also, what did she mean by "I love you Mikey?" Isn't he like ten? And how can the Goonies even know her if she lives in the ocean?
