Yeah, the days I had in Joe's garage .... it wasn't a bad way to spend time looking back....the friends I made...most of us are still close and email buddies...and as far as learning to play an instrument....there is no way to replace banging the s#$@ out of E..D...A on Gloria or something similar. I have had many adult students who did not have that experience....it's hard for them to play catch up. Anyway, thanks norskmann for your assesment of "Joes Garage". I agree.

I was turned on to this when I was like 5....my dad would expose me to good music....I might be wrong, but Dad always called this progressive Jazz....maybe not this in particular, but a lot of Zappa....I love a lot of it, but I will admit, there is some stuff that I can't get into...even with my open mind...but I try...I do like this though....was a great album....and yes, I have so much stuff on vinyl.. :)
