all points are valid. Except that aim-assist is to compensate for lag. Also it is the reason why younger and less skilled players love consoles. Not only have I been hardcore in cs1.6, but I also enjoy the casual nature of aim assist instant spawning fps shooters.

I really like Hutch's game play/style/sniping style, what I like most of all is that he doesn't camp unlike so many noobs out there who like to hide in corners like lil bitches.

@sddraguta Aim assist is not fully disabled, look up how it properly works. Hutch was incorrect on some terms but generally correct, there are 4 factors working in the background easing the aim for you: View friction, View adhesion, View acceleration and Aim attraction. Disabling aim assist in Black Ops only affects View adhesion. The three others are still active. Source: Console Config.
I disagree, aim assist is not essential. Many games on the PS2 had no aim-assist such as SOCOM. Games like that were challenging and required more effort for aiming. At the same time, it made the game more addicting.
The real reason why this console generation has so many developers putting aim-assist in their games is because online gaming is a lot more mainstream nowadays. They need to add features that appeal more to the casual gamer.
sniping isnt noob regardless of QSing, no scoping, or hardscoping. QSing is harder than people think. there are alway gonna be games where u cannot QS somone. no scoping is difficult cuz its inaccurate and if ur not using a semi, takes time to reload and try again. hardscoping is the easiest, but u will always find urself missing people, even tho they're shots u shouldnt be missing. im glad snipers hav Hutch to help them understand that wut we do isnt "noob". plus its a game. just hav fun

I play CoD on PC and im fairly good at it. Now, i tried cod4 on my friends ps3 yesterday and i've always wondered how these console guys aim so good with the controllers.. then i noticed the aim and it got pretty fucking easy. half of the matches i played i had 4kd or more. On PC all the aiming is done by the player and i like it that way.

when you take a look at both sides of "quickscoping" and "hardscoping" you notice that when you "quickscope" you take up to 5 shots sometimes to kill only one guy, but when you "hardscope" you usually only take one, so really who's the noob in this situation.

@G3tShotOStab no it doesnt aim assist only works when someone runs past were you are aiming only if its close enough it will follow 4 maybe half a second when not adsing but other than that you can c there names or the red crosshair

@sddraguta Aim assist is not fully disabled, look up how it properly works. Hutch was incorrect on some terms but generally correct, there are 4 factors working in the background easing the aim for you: View friction, View adhesion, View acceleration and Aim attraction. Disabling aim assist in Black Ops only affects View adhesion. The three others are still active. Source: Console Config.

I disagree, aim assist is not essential. Many games on the PS2 had no aim-assist such as SOCOM. Games like that were challenging and required more effort for aiming. At the same time, it made the game more addicting.
The real reason why this console generation has so many developers putting aim-assist in their games is because online gaming is a lot more mainstream nowadays. They need to add features that appeal more to the casual gamer.

sniping isnt noob regardless of QSing, no scoping, or hardscoping. QSing is harder than people think. there are alway gonna be games where u cannot QS somone. no scoping is difficult cuz its inaccurate and if ur not using a semi, takes time to reload and try again. hardscoping is the easiest, but u will always find urself missing people, even tho they're shots u shouldnt be missing. im glad snipers hav Hutch to help them understand that wut we do isnt "noob". plus its a game. just hav fun

I play CoD on PC and im fairly good at it. Now, i tried cod4 on my friends ps3 yesterday and i've always wondered how these console guys aim so good with the controllers.. then i noticed the aim and it got pretty fucking easy. half of the matches i played i had 4kd or more. On PC all the aiming is done by the player and i like it that way.

@Kraaken8 Yeap, in that fucking arcade called CoD Black Ops. Sniping IRL = what you call camping. Have you ever played Battlefield 2 (not that shit Bad Company 2)? Now there was sniping. And in CoD... I don't want to call that "sniping", let's call it "messing around with sniper rifle like it is a shotgun". And I think that quckscoping in MW2 didn't required any skill. And in Black Ops... maybe. I used to quckscope in BO, and I think it requires a lot less skill than 500m+ shots in BF2. IMHO.

when i use a sniper i only quickscope if i have to most of the time i line up my shot to get the kill in 1 shot instead of trying to quickscope 10 times across map and get a hitmarker...

when you take a look at both sides of "quickscoping" and "hardscoping" you notice that when you "quickscope" you take up to 5 shots sometimes to kill only one guy, but when you "hardscope" you usually only take one, so really who's the noob in this situation.
