Can you believe Aibon and Nono were 13 here? They are acting like 8-10 yr olds. Yaguchi-san had her hands full with the "twins". Yaguchi-san or Mika-chan ought to right a book about the Mini Moni days, and about the antics and relationships. We now know Tsuji-san liked to pull the skirts off the other girls while they were performing on stage. We can only imagine what mischief the two of them got into off stage.

@kenlo77 They were told by the management to be as outrageous as possible whenever they were on camera or stage. That was their assigned role in the group. They were too young to be sexy, and they weren't particularly talented, so they had to be funny. That literally was their job.

 Mini Moni had the most commercial success second only to MM itself. W may have surpassed Mini Moni had Aibon not smoked, and ended it. Aibon and Nono were an amazing duet. Go watch Unlucky labratory where Yaguchi Mari relates some of their antics off stage, including harranguing Tsunku-san himself ... who called Nono a brat. Their mischievous behavior was not constructed ... it was who they were.

@kenlo77 You cannot seriously compare 2005 to 2001; four years is a lifetime for a young idol. By the time formed W, they'd had dozens, perhaps hundreds of concerts and television appearances to develop their stage presence and performance skills.

As for their antics, how does that change what I said? The management told them to be outrageous. That was their job. All the stories prove is that they were too immature to know when stop once they started, and they weren't really punished for it.

@Celedam You have quite an imagination. Other than Mini Moni and W Tsunku kept the two apart. Tsuji-san should have been in Happy 7 and 3 Nin ... She wanted to be, If you want them to create mischief, you wouldn't purposely keep them seperated. Not talented? The huge success of Mini Moni and W, and the popularity of the "two top" would indicate otherwise.

If you actually think about it, they're really not.

They (some of them) actually have some pretty decent English. Once you begin learning Japanese in a serious manner, if you ever do, you'll realize that you will speak similarly to this for a very, very long time. I am at this stage right now. They don't seem very "bad at english!" to me. I'm impressed, actually.
