I"m 47, and I grew up with thisw 78 in the 1970's. This is just hot! Sanders RIPS off the piano solo, and the words are wonderfully free-wheeling! "Getcha self way back, find a nice flat track, let the fast express come through!" LOL!!!
There is a local NPR station that has a program on Sunday evening called "Old Scratchy Records". They use this for there closing credits. I LOVE the show AND this song!
I love these, too and am indebted to Grzegorz for all this HQ old music and his DATING them all ! I've created 110 playlists for every year from 1900 to the present.
He's made it possible for me to list these so anyone can take a musical trip back in time to any year, with just a click of your mouse . . . . . . .
Carelton Coon died in May 1932, aged only 38. But in March 1932 the Band made some very fine sides, their first recordings since 1929. I think they had given an woderfull swingband little later! Joe Sanders tried to keep the band on, poorly without success.
Deliciosa, añorada, recordable................

@jbpolhamus that should be..."nice side track"....not flat. always a challenge to get the words right on these old recordings.

Hot and unrestrained music like Josephine Baker in the middle two posters.

Sizzling music, great deco images...If that's all there is, who could ask for anything more?

One of the best (and today most overlooked) Bands of the 20´s. I ask for more - by the Nighthawks!
