i known! it happened to me recently!
dude I deleted without my agree 80 games on my 250 GB Hard DIsk, because of the red screen, it is product of modifying the "boot.elf" that is inside the hdd:\ , all I have to say dont touch that boot.elf!!!!!!!!!!

What an odd Error? I thought it will be the one that read 'Please Insert a PlayStation or a PlayStation 2 format disc,'' when it was a full Red Screen. How the Hell did this happen?

yeah that is a odd error, u know when it comes up in da menu and then it goes red and it says: please insert a disk, well that scares the shit out of me.especially when i am alone in my room playing, thats why when i play it i keep da tv of and leave it on until the red light on the controller lights up and then i turn the tv on!

You mean Please insert a PlayStation or PlayStation 2 format disc? That scares the crap outta me as well. The first time I seen it when I was 4 (NOTE: I am 12 now) I was crying and screaming, and had nightmares for almost a year. I remember the exact date when it happened! December 29, 2000, just 4 days after I've got it for a Christmas Present!

That screen scared the shit out of me when it happened when I tried to boot up guitar hero II! I reset it 3 times, and got nothing! A simple hard reset fixed this (i.e. unplugging, changing outlet, plugging back in)
