Lee Sharpe maybe could have been as skilled and successful as Giggs but he didn't have the drive. Too self indulgent and like stated previously, Fergie wanted him gone because everyone was focused on glory on the pitch at United apart from him.
Lee sharpe was a very good player, he was one of the best crossers of the ball at OT, the problem was he fell out with sir alex, injuries and he was never the same. But he will be remmembered for his hatrick against Arsenal in a 6-2 victory and his back heel goal against Barcelona,,
Remymartan - look at the man he is fuckin lovin it. Who the fuck are you to judge he has had a far better life than most people in this world. Shaggin birds left right and centre, playing alongside the likes of cantona giggs keane robson for the worlds biggest club. Adored by fans. Partying like a mad thing. What a hero. What the fuck do ya expect him to do, scrounge, save shop in Lidl staying in every night?invest wisely? not for me mate. And certainly not for Sharpie. Sharpie, never change
I just think it is rather sad that a former Manchester Utd player from the Premier League era has to go around and tell stories for a few quid. The man should have been flush and set up for life instead he ends up selling whats left of his dignity having let's face it blown his career (don't blame injuries). Just so sad to see the man go from being a top PL player to a sort of prositute givng the punters a happy ending.
If Lee had,had Giggsy's work ethic and professionalism, he would have been around as long.He was a better crosser of the ball and finisher...but alas no..what a fuckin shame...top lad on his day..and there were plenty!!
I used to be a fan of Lee Sharpe before he started putting more effort in at the Hacienda than he did at Old Trafford
His autobiography is just embarassing with how many people he finds to blame for his own failings. He was given more than enough chances by Alex Ferguson yet continued to fuck up, and was sold by the club a) because, by the age of 25 he was past it and b) so he wouldn't corrupt the younger players at the club, like Beckham, Scholes etc.
looks like sharpey is telling a few porkie pies if you read his book he sounded very bitter and twisted about the way eric the king performed at man utd while his career went in to freefall he did a lot of blameing and further more he did nothing for leeds i strongly recommend you read his book i guess times must be tough for him if he is appearing on reality telly shows and makeing things up to sound funny while saying something diffrent in his book what a loser
