thanks guys - the videos helped the council threaten enforcement action that brought the plant back from exceeding reasonable noise levels to a more sensible position
weirdly i am even in a Cemex UK environmental impact training video
i have few problems with the plant operating illegally.
flat next to a concrete plant in london well done. grow a pair of balls stop acting like a girl and buy some double glazing the sound of a concrete lorry or a tipper revving is the most beautifull sound in the world. Or why would you buy a flat next to a concrete plant tit
Why dont you try and get a petition together with the neighbours and send it to the council to reduce the noise, round where i live they where developing flats and us and the neighbours put one together for noise pollution and they did quiet down after a while...Just keep mythering the council
Can I just a say a couple of things. Yeah fair play, that is a terrible noise and I certinally wouldn't like to hear that first thing in the morning. But what do you expect to hear in the morning when you get a place next to a concrete plant?
I have no problem with the plant operating legally - it wasn't then and i have worked with cemex to reduce the amount of noise it makes to keep it within legal limits. the plant basically hadn't had much maintenance for years and was badly run. it is better now. but on the whole, if something bothers you in life, and you think it is wrong, don't just sit there and take it
errrrrrr no, not if CEMEX is commiting an offence - then it is their problem. through working with the Council, who have backed me up very strongly, many of the noise problems have been resolved
Mate... I live next door to you. Let's take this to the council... It's terrifying and horrible and disturbing and probably illegal?
Maybe I've become immune to it of late, but I dont think I hear it anymore... mind you my windows have not been open in the mornings of late since it's been winter...
Have you complained to the council under the public nuisances act? It appears from your clip that you have a case for public action or perhaps with the contractors in a civil case (nuisance). Is this an ongoing issue?
What was you having for breakfast anyway , full detais please . and the plant is shut now
