I go shooting at the trap and skeet range often and I guess this is good if the other members decided to shoot at me as I was pulling in. It would at least save my face.

I'm pretty sure my leather jacket could stop birdshot.

Ok, it can take birdshot pretty well. Not bad at all. I'd really like to see you do that with 00 shot, though. :9 I think my Nolan X-Lite could take birdshot too. Took asphalt at 85km/h without a scratch.

That was bird shot... hence a ton of little tiny holes. 00 Buck shot in a 2.75 in shell holds usually holds 9 balls.

If they used buck shot that helmet would have splintered pretty bad. Think about the scene in Wedding crashers when the guys gets shot in the ass and the cute chick is pulling the pellets out with tweezers. Thats bird shot... if that was buck shot you would need a little more than tweezers for clean up duty!!!! Big time ouch!

to be exact a shotgun is generally smoothbore and not rifled a rifle by definition has rifling that grips the round inducing spin on the round for stability of flight and accuracy whereas shotguns are generally smoothbore and work on the spray of the shot
