Honestly, this should be the Caldari DD; the current one is terribly weak visually. This just screams 'death missiles', which the Caldari are apparently all about (and yet all but like two Caldari missile boats are accepted as DPS in fleets).
The carebear reverse gank: get a lvl 4 or 5 deadspace mission in lo sec, then warp to the gate and align. When a pvper shows up, head through, then warp away. Have a fleet member tackle the pvper who follows you. Finally, laugh your ass off.
The old dooms day looked cooler... i mean it looks pretty dumb that the missiles fly in random circles before hitting the target... and i liked the firehell a lot more... i mean they could make the sky turn on fire around the ship they engage.. and just melt it...
The Amarr, and Gallente gets cool looking beams and minmatar and Caldari gets missiles... and not even awesome looking ones.
@Ph33NIXx They reduced ALL of the titans Doomsday effects to combat the lag. Less graphical, less fps/ms loss. Its gay, but i'd rather be able to fight the fight than see my ship dead 10 minutes after it actually dies.
@kikoredog True.. but i still find the Gallente and Amarr new dooms day more shiny then this.... it looks almost like regular missiles... but your right, it has made the graphic go more smoth
@Ph33NIXx IMHO Blizzard needs to buyout CCP, and make it the game it should be with billions of dollars of funding. Imagine if the servers were all 100x as good as they are now... #wish.

(correction, in wrath you do, pre-bc,bc, and cata(coming soon) all make it hard to get gear, so shitty players are shitty). WoW listened to its community, its making the game hard again.

The only thing you can do wrong in the game is to get the wrong gear and wrong character settings.. but its easy to correct. And the game has the problem were its only getting fun at lvl 80+
@Ph33NIXx that bit about your own faction thing isn't true. and yes, people used questhelper anyways, so blizz just implemented it so there would be less RAM usage on addons.. They are also redoing 1-60 content, completely, making it really interactive (i'm in the cata beta).
@kikoredog you cant use a Pve setting for PVP nor can you use a PvP setting for Pve... it has to do with how you tank and ammo and range and how you fly in pve.. were in pvp you try get an omni tank and do damage... so yeah same modules, but different settings :)

The weapon needs to be renamed then to death link. Anything with the term doomsday means if you can see it your doomed. So I don't care so much about AOE or direct fire so much as the wrong name. Doomsday sounds cool even more then "Deathlink" or "Deathray" but if your going to name the weapon after something with complete annihilation of anyone who can see it then you better have effect to back it or change weapon name.

Well obviously a doomsday went to a deathlink. To me the term doomsday means if your close enough to see it then its your doom. The way it is now is like an XXL weapon and thats about it. CCP your new effect, effectively killed the idea of a doomsday even if you decreased lag. Congratz on putting titan to the nerf bat now its more like a demi-god. Start working on better graphic engines instead of dumbing down what was already great.
If someone has enough time on their hands to make and warp in 10 titans just to kill a fleet....bravo to them. I hear people bellyaching all the time when a corp has an advantage over them in high sec and we of course call them carebears....just means to make the complainers happy. If you don't like 10 titans warping in to mop you up then bring 11 titans and fleet behind it
man, the point is.... that effectively makes anyone with multiple titans able to just steamroll people. and fyi, i've been on the recieving end of 11 Titans showing up, and it's not fun. and the Coalition i'm in can't field that many. honestly, nerfing them helps a lot of newer players a lot because now they can't wipe out an entire fleet, costing new null corps billions upon billions of isk at once. they can still annihilate a capital though, which is why i'm going for a supercarrier ;)
CCP was getting two complaints about the Titan, from those being killed they complained about Titans warping in, DDing and warping out....to fix that they made it so that 10 minutes after using DD you cannot warp. Then people using Titans were complaining about how a well tanked BS would survive a DD attack so they made the DD a direct attack that can WTFPWN just about anything.......
Actually, the whole idea of a targeted doomsday was to a) cut down on server lag, and b) make a more effective doomsday weapon. The old doomsday became more and more obsolete as pilots only assaulted titans with capital ships.
@Aktof as well as to make titans less of an all or nothing in which you take out a large group and then get taken out in the hour for which you are dead in the water...
can you use that on a pos by the way? I've never seen a real titan (the one in luminaire isn't what I'd call real) and I was just wondering

Wow is a npc controlled world focusing on Pve with a small Pvp part, and you dont risk losing anything except som sigma.
Eve is a player controlled world focusing on PVP, and manufaction... and then has Pve for carebears... (like me)
I respect that you like wow better then eve.. im just saying it never had it going for me.
