I am no expert by any means, but his timing mechanism seems very odd and not consistently repeatable, I am sure that the nats coaches will work on that with him to quiet it down though.

Harper did work his ass off. Anyone who thinks he didn't is just simply talking out of their ass. I grew up with Harper and God damn every second he had a glove in his hand ready to play. Amazing player and also a bad ass friend. He put a great amount of effort into baseball.

This guy is insane! I think he'll be better than Josh Hamilton. Its amazing to see all the tools he has at only 17 years old....REDICULOUS! The numbers this guy puts up are also just as rediculous as his skills. He'll probably be making an impact with the Nationals by the time he's 20.

Harper's swing is almost something i've never seen before, he generates so much power and explodes through the ball with unbeleivable strength and bat speed. He has potential to be the best player to ever live

This kid has excellent balance.....when he swings pause it on the back swing......your supposed to draw a strait line from his head to his knee to the ground he is a very good balanced hitter and is only gonna get better

on his pop time, you got to remember in showcases that catchers are throwing from the plate, instead of back behind far enough as to not interfere with a swing like in a game.

I have a question, How do you hit a low and away slider with a straight front leg??? I dont believe that is the best hitting method. Sure they say it on tv and it looks pretty and all but with that front leg bent it allows you to adjust to the height of the pitch. Just thought I would share that with you. Try watching some hank aaron videos, he does it really well, A lot of the older players did.
