Dan Brown and J.K. Rowling are genius and good! BD totally sucked! I've read it and it sucked! I love Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse, but that's it. Well, I actually like NM and Eclipse more, because Twilight is all about Edward C. Yeck-er-de-yeck-yeck! What mythology? There is no vampire mythology in Twilight. These people when they grow older and hopefully wiser start to see how terrible a story Twilight is and, as you said, nothing happens. The first book pretty much is just to establish Bella and Edward's relationship. That's okay. But for the next two and a half books its all about the love triangle and nothing else. Nothing happens for two and a half books. Then when something good could have happened...it doesn't. At the end of the last.

Have you tried the Lemony Snicket series? They're pretty genious, too (both in writing style and conception), but with these books you'll only notice HOW actually genious they are once you've read all of them through. Really complex, really funny, and definitely recommendable! :)

Meyer was not too creative with them in terms of her explanations for things like how Bella got pregnant and the imprinting is psuedo-pedophilia used as a way to explain away Jacob no longer loving Bella. An finally speaking of Renesmee the child Bella has. I think in the end it was the only way to truly end the book. I mean it brought everything and everyone together. Cause it brought up a reason for Edward to have to turn Bella finally. Many might hate that Jacob imprinted on the baby, but this is only. Cause they have dirty minds an they sit there and think of it as Jacob being a pedophile. Cause they see it as only a sexual thing which it is not.
The explanation that Meyer put in The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. That actually starts out with the vampires hiding from the sun. Cause of all the old stories they had heard about vampires when they were all still human. With the other changes there not even as bad I don't think. As for the Edward getting Bella pregnant thing if you read more Mythology. There are vampire like creatures that can do this which is explained in the book. If people would only give it a chance and read it all.

You make a sound agrument but I find that anne rice books and trublood do more for the vampire mythology than twilight. I think its safe to say I'm like other people are not the target demographic for it. Its purely a teens thing and that is it.
@Kyoko019 Even The Vampire Diaries, which is targeted at the same audience, had better vampires than Twilight. Which goes to show you can write vampire fiction for teens and still have somewhat "real" vampires.
I myself don't like Twilight but there is always one thing I don't and will never understand about Twilight. I don't see what all the hype is about and a teenage girl falling in love with a vampire is not very original story. It was used many times and some people have done it correctly and very well.

It's really easy to bash people like nuttymadam3575 and videos like "I'm getting really sick..." but not as easy to calmly and suavely make a point and back it up like this without become satirical--so I think you did a good job. I agree with you--there is a lot of good literature out there in all different genres. I do think it's easy to get "stuck" in one frame of mind and favor one author, series, era, style and condemn all else--but you took the mindset of reason. :) The movie did suck. Bad.

This is a sensational, level-headed review. I agree with you on almost every point you touched. I've seen other reviews and they are very uncalm people who yell and bring up okay points but they are a little too vulgar.. You basically win. I was thinking of making a review on twilight and then I saw this and said "Wow" took the words right out of my mouth in a good way. Twilight fans: if you are reading this you still have time to recover, as you are most likely a younger women aged 11-20.
i think that to hate the book you must read it. i read the whole series (and believe me i almost fell off my bed laughing at the insanely bad parts and my eyes burned during the rest which was so boring it wasn't even funny) If you haven't at least read the book don't go too crazy

I agree, teenagers are confused enough about relationships without this horrible book justifying domestic abuse. It makes me concerned when I see girls like nuttymadam who are so obsessed with this novel. It sets them up for a bad relationship in the future because they'll see these abusive tendencies and think 'that means he cares'. Where are the parents and professionals to tell these girls that men shouldn't treat women like that?
Persuasion was not in her priority list when explaining how "fabulous" the books are. She basically looks down at the people who unfortuantely come across her video and speaks to them as if they were morons like herself. I understand adulation and excitement and love for a great book and author but she simply makes no sense when she speaks and actually makes the Twilight books sound even worst with her lunatic ravings.
When I was younger, my favorite book was Harry Potter.......then I gew up. Harry Potter will always hold a special place in my heart because it made me get into books, but there are other books out there that stimulate my thinking and that feels refreshing.
I'm picky about books myself, but I manage to find some good books, such as The DaVinci Code, so for anybody to say that Twilight is the best series ever.......I don't have high hopes for them in the future.

Have you tried the Lemony Snicket series? They're pretty genious, too (both in writing style and conception), but with these books you'll only notice HOW actually genious they are once you've read all of them through. Really complex, really funny, and definitely recommendable! :)

I think its okay for her to think that stephanie meyer is a "genius". im just saying cuz that is her opinion about the author so saying that all shes done was bring bad books to this world is really uncalled for. you might wanna even stop your videos a little quicker because hearing you talk even more and more and mention what you like in harry potter books or the author or story line of just a book that many people love, doesnt resolve anything.

Meyer was not too creative with them in terms of her explanations for things like how Bella got pregnant and the imprinting is psuedo-pedophilia used as a way to explain away Jacob no longer loving Bella. The only creative thing in those books is the shape-shifter mythology and the Volturi. She does a really lack luster job of coming up with stuff really.

An finally speaking of Renesmee the child Bella has. I think in the end it was the only way to truly end the book. I mean it brought everything and everyone together. Cause it brought up a reason for Edward to have to turn Bella finally. Many might hate that Jacob imprinted on the baby, but this is only. Cause they have dirty minds an they sit there and think of it as Jacob being a pedophile. Cause they see it as only a sexual thing which it is not.

The explanation that Meyer put in The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. That actually starts out with the vampires hiding from the sun. Cause of all the old stories they had heard about vampires when they were all still human. With the other changes there not even as bad I don't think. As for the Edward getting Bella pregnant thing if you read more Mythology. There are vampire like creatures that can do this which is explained in the book. If people would only give it a chance and read it all.

I might put in my two cents or maybe a dime or two if I really get into a rant here. Sure Meyer changed a lot of the vampire mythology, but you have to admit. It was long over due I never understood the burning in the sun thing for one. Anyway at first I thought this was peoples only problem with the series. So I'll start on that these die hard vampire lovers that got pissed. That she changed so much the being shiny in the sun sure I found it silly too, but I like.

I'm not one of these obsessed Twilight lovers, but I read the series all four books. An even her leaked draft Midnight Sun and the short novel. The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner I started with Twilight. Cause of my 13 year old niece wanting to make sure it was something her mother would approve of her reading. An to my surprise I got into them too so I thought. I might put in my two cents or maybe a dime or two if I really get into a rant here.

You make a sound agrument but I find that anne rice books and trublood do more for the vampire mythology than twilight. I think its safe to say I'm like other people are not the target demographic for it. Its purely a teens thing and that is it.

I myself don't like Twilight but there is always one thing I don't and will never understand about Twilight. I don't see what all the hype is about and a teenage girl falling in love with a vampire is not very original story. It was used many times and some people have done it correctly and very well.

It's really easy to bash people like nuttymadam3575 and videos like "I'm getting really sick..." but not as easy to calmly and suavely make a point and back it up like this without become satirical--so I think you did a good job. I agree with you--there is a lot of good literature out there in all different genres. I do think it's easy to get "stuck" in one frame of mind and favor one author, series, era, style and condemn all else--but you took the mindset of reason. :) The movie did suck. Bad.

This is a sensational, level-headed review. I agree with you on almost every point you touched. I've seen other reviews and they are very uncalm people who yell and bring up okay points but they are a little too vulgar.. You basically win. I was thinking of making a review on twilight and then I saw this and said "Wow" took the words right out of my mouth in a good way. Twilight fans: if you are reading this you still have time to recover, as you are most likely a younger women aged 11-20.

i think that to hate the book you must read it. i read the whole series (and believe me i almost fell off my bed laughing at the insanely bad parts and my eyes burned during the rest which was so boring it wasn't even funny) If you haven't at least read the book don't go too crazy

I always asked what is the worst of this; Meyer's friends who encouraged her to write it and get it published, the publishing company that published it or the gullible people for buying it and reading it.

I agree, teenagers are confused enough about relationships without this horrible book justifying domestic abuse. It makes me concerned when I see girls like nuttymadam who are so obsessed with this novel. It sets them up for a bad relationship in the future because they'll see these abusive tendencies and think 'that means he cares'. Where are the parents and professionals to tell these girls that men shouldn't treat women like that?

Persuasion was not in her priority list when explaining how "fabulous" the books are. When I was younger, my favorite book was Harry Potter.......then I gew up. Harry Potter will always hold a special place in my heart because it made me get into books, but there are other books out there that stimulate my thinking and that feels refreshing.
I'm picky about books myself, but I manage to find some good books, such as The DaVinci Code, so for anybody to say that Twilight is the best series ever.......I don't have high hopes for them in the future.
