L&O los angeles is actually a good show. Im just so used to the main characters from SVU that sometimes i hardly pay attention when watching L&O LA. But overall this really is a good show u just gotta get used to the new characters thats all.

LA is really refreshing from the darkness and gloominess of new york. If it gets cancelled I'll be pretty upset, I don't want this franchise to die!! The only thing I don't like about this series is that it doesn't have an awesome opening theme song </3

Although I'm a huge fan of the original "Law and order", the Los Angeles version as a unique flavor. I was born and raised on the West Coast and I can say the series is pretty accurate, it also demonstrates the diversity of Los Angeles, it shows different areas of the city whether it's East Los Angeles, Venice Beach, Santa Monica, or south-central. In contrast to the original, which didn't seem to leave Manhattan. I don't remember seeing Brooklyn, the Bronx, Harlem, Queens, or Stanton Island.

I haven't seen it, but the New York shows, as much as I liked the characters, got to be ridiculous. How many times can you have a violent crime in New York City and it always turns out to be the rich Anglo Saxon?

One holds little hope that the perp demographics in Law and Order Los Angeles will be any closer to actual representations.

just finished watching it and for what it had, it was good but not great. still doesnt beat svu though. it was very unfortunate how there was no 'these are there stories' intro or even a theme song but again, for what it had, it was good but not great.

next week's episode however, looks much more brutal

Well, they added a new cast member, D.D.A. Lauren Gardner, who will be working with Jonah Dekker. She is played by Megan Boone. Also character names were changed, Peter is now Ricardo Morales and Eva is now Evelyn Price. The second episode will be called, "Echo Park" and feature a Charles Manson like family.

Also, Criminal Intent may be cancelled.

I've seen SVU, and it's good enough to keep one somewhat occupied; but the cast makes a show. This new show will only remain if politics and the obvious hired ethnic tokens do their jobs. The casting directors screwed up royaly this time. I rarely watch either franchise (CI & SVU), and I can humbly say, they all need to just die a slow death. I see another Miami Medical demise with this cast of characters..

Everybody please watch this show. If this show gets cancelled the Franchise will die. Without LOLA, the only shows we have are SVU and CI. And let's face it CI is no good anymore even with Zach Nichols and SVU is slowly dying as well. If this show dies then you can expect the Franchise to be dead in about 5 years.

SVU is okay (wish it still had seasons 4-7's style). CI sucks now FOR SURE, Goldblum's episodes have ruined the series from the writing to the ratings. I'd be glad if CI got canceled. SVU I might pitch a fit if it was canceled!

@c4r50n1 You should, it was a good show that should have lasted longer than it did (the theme song is now on Criminal Intent). There was another spinoff called "Conviction" that started a year after TBJ. That show was cancelled shortly as well. You can see that show online on Hulu.com.
