  • She is so fckn sexy, I'd do her anyday- really I would. I was on her in a dream, and she was like okay, enough. Funny.

  • This is the best version of this song i ever heard!!!

  • @MelodicChaosGuitar i agree

  • This song is one of my favorite Alanis songs. "I too once thought I was owed something" gets me every time.

  • fantastic

  • cool spikes spinning over her head, didnt notice that the last 50 times i watched this

  • @macjordan1996

I guess that is her version of the Damocles sword

  • This is my favourite Alanis song. Gorgeous rendition.

  • Amazing!

  • AWESOME

  • Her cocerts are very very lovely. She is the only one, to understand the feelings with music. A taste of wine and the music is perfekt!!! This is Alanis in Germany!!!

  • d'Alanis.

  • J'adore cette chanson, une de mes préférées d'

  • i love this song ! *___*

  • AWESOME SONG!

i saw her perform it live and it blew my mind!

    crazy good song! :)

  • She reminds me of Jennifer Garner a bit in this video.

  • the way she moves represents how much she's involved in the song's emotions. it doesn't mean anything except she's very passionate in the way she sings! it's so simple!

  • I love this song and this singer!

  • yancybutler who dose Marilyn Manson parody says, Alanis Morissette's So-called chaos is her reaction to Marilyn Manson's The golden age of grotesque. Ask Alanis about it.

  • Sorry, I would need anyone to tell me, why is she shaking like that while performing ? I've always wondered about drugs on her...(?) Anyway it's true, this is one of my favorite songs and this album is a nice dark dream...

  • well...I think she's just nervous

she always does that thing with her left arm...especially in the beginning of her career

    nevermind, this song is brilliant..!

  • Those don't look like involuntary spasms, she's doing it voluntarily imo.

  • have you ever seen Thom York perform? Or any real artist besides the polished pop fakes? They let go! They let their spirit take over, and they let themselves to the notes being played. Plus, she sings. And not just a plain song. She's hitting every note perfectly, live, in such a "song".

  • Yeah, I have seen Thom Yorke letting go, but drug-users let go too...Haven't you seen any artist on drugs upstage ?!

Nevermind, it's been a week since my post, while on the internet it takes less than an hour to get the adeguate answers...

  • Maybe she's just a human being- apart from being an actress. Still hurts when you were hoping once. Just listen to the lyrics. She's just emotionally involved probably.

  • I saw a interview of her in which the interviewer says names of drugs and she has to answer if she has ever tried them or not, and she answer yes to the mayority of them lol, I guess that answers your question. I still love her... so passionate!

  • thanks laleldon.. I was looking for such interview..just for personal curiosity.

    A touring artist can't avoid drugs :-).

Exams-stress is enough reason for most students to smoke marijuana ...

Why shouldn't a tour be for Alanis ?

  • yes,but she also sad something like

'i've tried some drogs, but i'm TOO MUCH A CONTROL FREAK TO BE AN ADICT'

    :-).

  • Yeah, but I like the faster version better! The rythm bewitches you...

  • no way...slow version is better...

  • all ver. are amazing! ;)

    don't argufy :)

  • Amazing performance, but she needs work on the hair here. Love her though.

  • yeahp Supposed Former...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • probably the #1 under rated song of all times!!!

  • my favorite one

  • wonderful text, wonderful song....one 's i've never listened!

  • my favourite Alanis song

  • Brilliant Alanis Morissette! Brilliant!!

  • quite possibly the best written song of the decade..

    amazing

  • rivaled by 'joining you' of course

  • completely agree. Although the lyrics for "Not the Doctor" are equally brilliant.

  • Joining You is 1000000 better...=] original and unplugged...(oh her unplugged... =p)

  • una de mis preferidas

  • MERCI POUR CETTE MERVEILLEUSE CHANSON, j'adore!

  • The best song ever of Alanis, look at her. She is like acting, it is not only a song, it's acting in a theatre or whatever and practically she never stop to breathe. Excellent interpretation

  • i know what you mean.. it's more like she's reliving the moment when the song actually happened in her life.

  • I absolutely love love love love this song. I've listened to it countless times.. just like every other track from the 'Alanis Unplugged'album.. Such an amazing album! And 'Supposed Former Infactuation Junkie'.. I still remember how breathless it had left me. ♥

  • I love this song and this singer!

  • great song...

  • Alanis is amazing!

    The song is amazing!!!

I bought a couple of her cds just after listening to this one and GOD most are as beautiful!

  • "do you believe we are fundamentally judgemental? fundamentally evil?"

amazing song, dark like most of the album really

  • oh my god I just love this song

  • I like this song so much, but I dont really understand what it is about..? broken dreams? lost love? being lost in life? losing someone?

    Does anybody else understand?

  • She said about this song: "the choruses in this song are about my having been excited with the newly discovered opportunity that i saw--the relationship i was in--and what it was providing for the both of us. i had never understood the healing quality of safety and intimacy, or the consciousness that was required of me to be in that kind of relationship until that point. the verses are my recounting three separate conversations/experiences."

  • wow, ive been listening to this song for years but you have given me a new kind of enlightenment....luv alanis

  • AMO A ALANISMORISSETTE.,.,,.,.,.,

  • Qué grande es!!!

  • it is one of my favorite songs. provides my life for 6 years now.

  • Number one ....

  • one of my favourite songs... songs that you don't get bored of after a year of two..

  • It's about real personality and humanity,

the things that thrill everyones live...

    Joe.

  • Thanx so much!!! :)

  • love her <3

    Linz

    xxx

  • Sweet...

  • Such deep, mature lyrics! You could write a novel about it. Wonderful, cant get enough of this song.

  • what is it about..? or; what's your vision..?

  • i agree...she's an incredibly profound, thoguthful, worldly songwriter...i adore her 'noncommercial' music the most, you know the ones they'd never play on the radio...her arrangements, lyrics, everything, it just all comes together so well...this remains one of my favorites to this day

  • the lyrics of this song burns through the heart. i adore this awesome woman!

  • Good one. Better yet check out rmbralph in the search area uptop. There are 4 Alanis videos that will amaze you.

  • There isn't actually a song I don't like that Alanis has done, so it makes it difficult to have favourites. But this song always comes to mind first when people ask me which one I like best. It really is fantastic.

  • And there was a day when I wouldve said something like,

hey dude, I could buy and sell this place, so kiss it.

I too once thought I was owed something.

    Classic

  • i think it is one the best songs of Alanis. i love it. i like writing.

  • Love that song. Reminds me of how fragile life is. She sure sings like an angel! Keep on going alanis

  • this is why im h0ping..

gee Alanis, i simply adore you

  • You're right, me too.

  • I had to watch my tone for fear of having you feel judged.

  • i love her

  • such a deep song, touches me so much...I simply love her for being so open and talking about things that are normally kept under rug swept ;-)

    THANK U ALANIS

  • She's got such a good band too

  • awesome!

  • :( i'm cryin

  • You know many people criticize her but for me she is simply honest - even if for some it looks ridiculous but for me it gives me simply the opinion about them.

I admire her that she is a real open person. Her texts are like good stories, I can even compare it to the fairy-tales (some kind - short ones:P - true ones). She is not afraid of telling people what she really/exactly thinks about matters/ life etc.

Sorry for some incorrect expressions but my English is far from perfect.

  • singin just like in r.e.m sleep...

luv her she is a gift from heaven

  • yes!! love the song...
