@bwarrrrk Yep, the only surviving Class 15 in preservation. And there's still a long way to go before it even runs again, that's why more support for the Class 15 Preservation Society is needed. Thanks for commenting!
I saw her at Stratford in January 1981.It's a shame they weren't all preserved as they are an ideal size power unit for a preserved line. Well done to her restorers!
@lewisner Yeah, a shame that not all of them made it into preservation, but we have these guys to thank for saving this solitary example. Still a long way to go, but as demonstrated here, the work is making sound progress. Cheers for commenting lewisner!
@theamateurbasher It's a pity that someone couldn't (as they did with Microsoft Train Simulator) have done a Payware simulation for Trainz Simulator.Somebody actually did one a few years ago and sent me a Beta version but I lost the Beta during a PC crash and he never finished it.The nearest you can get in Trainz is the NBL 10800 prototype.
@theamateurbasher There's a simulation of the Co-Bo in trainz and I don't know where the guy got the sound from but it sounds VERY different. I used to have a video which featured a clip of D5705 on the Egginton test track and it sounded like the Trainz simulation.I know there were Metrovick locos in Australia and he may have got it from there?
now that is serious clag.nice to see its being worked on after lying around for years.this loco is going to be a credit to its owner and the restoration team
@robertjamesgreen It is sure going to be worth it, when all that hard work pays off within the next few years or so. Still a long way to go, but as I said in the commentary, steady progress is being made.
excellent bettter to see her roaring than be on the scrap heap, wouldn't you agree, and with the the paxman valenta's now gone a new one (old one) arises from the ashes :)
interesting... a Paxman sounding like an EE but not quite... fascinating stuff!

@TheBritishLegions Cheers. A foretaste of what she will look and sound like, when she is up and running again within a few years from now.

''British diesel, electric and steam trains in 1959 - "British Locomotives"''
Just seen it !

@commanderclass50 Thanks commanderclass50! Agreed, more better to hear the sweet sound of a 15 rather than the sight of one on the scrapheap.
