..At the 48 second mark, that is me in the blue and white shirt "standing in" for mark in the scene shot as the boat hits the reef causing mark and lisa to have to swim to shore. the movie is shot to appear as the south pacific but it is actually shot on and around my home island, st.john, usvi.........

This made-for-TV movie shown in 1991 was one of the last that were highly popular in the 1970's through the 80's. They were highly entertaining, low budget, featuring stars of TV shows of the day, superb writing and appealed to the entire family. Today, most made-for-Tv movies are for special age or demographic markets and because of that a title like BARE ESSENTIALS would suggest a Cinemax soft porn. There needs to be a cable channel showing these old TV movies.

The movie was released on DVD in China about ten years ago, I've got a copy.

There is a seller on ebay called garrys_world_exchange_square who has some in stock.
