So not canon at all. No chemistry, no "special" relationship above friendship, all of it is total wtfery. And they'd get bored of each other easily if they actually dated or something. I don't get why people like them so much when it's clear they're nothing besides friends. And Harry admits it a number of times.
I wish they'd stick to the books, and add scenes that actually happened.

Ron and Hermione sadly can't kiss like they did in the book because the movies never mentioned SPEW...so they had to think of something else....it is rather frustrating. But otherwise...the clips look GREAT!

I can't wait(: I saw this on TV since I've been watching the Harry Potter Weekend all day . I really wanna see this . I love everything about it except for the fact that Harry doesn't end up with Hermione. But most people don't like at least one thing about a movie . And that's something I'm upset with-the pairings .
@JM4EDR The attraction: 1) Ron and Hermione are opposites and opposites attract. . 2) Their fights are clearly due to the fact there is so much sexual tension/frustration, when they were younger they fought because they were opposites and that hatred was a strong emotion, it was evident from book two for me that they would end up together:) Oh and Harry is way to angsty for Hermione! And their personalities would clash.. Plus their way to like siblings..
@JM4EDR Yes, I am a Harry/Hermione Fan. A big one too . I don't see how Harry all of a sudden likes Ginny . I mean we all know she had a cute little crush on him but she outgrew it and she reappears in movie 6 and he gets a thing for her . There's no build up . Plus Ginny loves him for his Hero ship, not for him .And as for Ron . Well Hermione is a bright wizard and she wants someone who understands her and supports her, but Ron isn't the guy for that . Even if opposites attract. H/Hr !
@musicalsara Ok, I don't agree with you about the Harry and Hermione ship because Ron and Hermione are perfect for eachother but I do agree with you about Harry and Ginny. Ginny is only in love with Harry because of his heroic nature. She doesn't know him though and he doesn't know her.

And I'm re-reading all the books and i'm on the 6th. All the years in Quidditch, Hermione cheers Harry on, wishes him good luck. She didn't think Ron would do well in the 6th year. Um at first they never talked to each other, but then they started to talk more frequently to a lot. I READ THE BOOKS!!

Ron doesn't insult her. Draco insults her. There's a huge difference when a friend tries to argue your opinion than someone completely bashing you. He would never insult her enough to hurt her that much. Again, if he really did do all those things, he wouldn't be considered one of Hermione's closest friends.
How is Harry more intelligent? They are both lazy doing homework and both have their own "clever" moments. But neither can compare to Hermione.

Harry didn't react afterwards in GoF when she kissed him on the cheek. It was just "unexpected" but nothing happened to him afterwards.
And it's even more if it's your crush. Ron walked all the way back into the Great Hall in a daze. I doubt that's just "normal" reaction for an unexpected kiss.
Well, who wouldn't if they were being opposed? But the fact that they fight back their opinions shows that they're interested. Whereas Harry barely listens to Hermione. Imagine if they dated. Harry would be wishing Ron was there (GoF and DH-it wasn't the same with only Hermy), and Hermione would be constantly fretting over him. Harry needs someone who can make him laugh and make him have fun, not someone who's a mother to him. Hermione can't give what he needs from a girlfriend.

Yes, but there's been evidence in the books that he considers Hermione nagging. He never smiles when it's only him or her. In GoF, he said outright that there were too few laughs when only Hermione was your best friend. Yes, she wants to keep him safe. So does Dumbledore. So that totally means Dumbledore and Harry are in love.

Harry smiles way more often when it's the three of them or just him and Ron. Hermione, bless her, is more of the serious and motherly type and can't respond to his humor or make him laugh, enjoy life, etc. That's why, again, he needs a mixture of Ron and Hermione. Someone who's sensible yet is able to make him laugh. I mean, that's why he's friends with them in the first place!

And why is Ron good for Hermione and vice versa? They're a stable, balanced relationship. Ron has known Hermione for years enough to know not to get to her bad side, and same with Hermione. Ron brings out her fun side, and Hermione helps Ron be more serious.

No, not really. They only ignore each other when they get into big arguments (and notice they mature during those arguments and afterward as well). Debating isn't the only thing they have in common. They have the same morals, values, and sense of friendship. Actually, it's Ron's jokes that Hermione gives even a hint of smile (evidence). She's known him too long to interpret it the wrong way. Harry wants someone who is witty--someone who'd be able to understand his humor.

If Hermione didn't take Ron's humor seriously, then maybe they would have less fights. Debating is the thing they have in common? That's a good thing?
Besides, what can Harry do to Hermione as a girlfriend anyway? Those moments without Ron in GoF between him and Hermione were awkward and more in DH. For Harry to be fun, his partner needs to understand what he thinks of as "fun". Ron and Hermione's relationship developed and matured through the books, while Harry and Hermione had no...evidence above sibling-love. Just because they care for each other doesn't mean they're interested romantically. They need some attraction as well.

@agriggs6 Harry as a leader had to be strong for his friends even though Hermione was being tourtured. It wasn't that he was being heartless. You have to have one strong person to hold everyone up when they are down, to be the glue. Harry is the glue.
@GoldMusicHits no Ron and Hermione do NOT kiss in Part 1, according to David Yates, we are actually with Ron and Hermione when they go into the Chamber of Secrets, and the kiss happens there instead of in front of Harry. There is a shot at 0:25 of Ron and Hermione in a "sewer" but if you look closly near the bottom you can see the same metal ladder Harry used to climb into the Chamber of Secrets in Film 2

@GoldMusicHits R/Hr's kiss is one of the final chapters, The Battle of Hogwarts. The split between the two films will be either before Malfoy Manor or Dobby's 'funeral'.. The kiss will defiantly be in part two.

So not canon at all. No chemistry, no "special" relationship above friendship, all of it is total wtfery. And they'd get bored of each other easily if they actually dated or something. I don't get why people like them so much when it's clear they're nothing besides friends. And Harry admits it a number of times.
I wish they'd stick to the books, and add scenes that actually happened.
Can't wait to see Ron calling out Hermione at Malfoy's! Now, that's a couple with real substance.

Grah....why are they changing the Ron/Hermione kiss too?! I realize they had to change it somewhat cause in the books its about involves SPEW. But still...I was looking forward to Harry yelling at them to stop. The kiss is supposed to be so passionate & amazing that Harry has to break them up. If it's just then, they're gonna stop on their own...gah! I hope David Yates does it right! It felt like he sucked all the chemistry out of Harry and Ginny. Imma freak if he does that to Ron and Hermione!!

I love everything about it except for the fact that Harry doesn't end up with Hermione. But most people don't like at least one thing about a movie . @JM4EDR The attraction: 1) Ron and Hermione are opposites and opposites attract. . 2) Their fights are clearly due to the fact there is so much sexual tension/frustration, when they were younger they fought because they were opposites and that hatred was a strong emotion, it was evident from book two for me that they would end up together:) Oh and Harry is way to angsty for Hermione! And their personalities would clash.. Plus their way to like siblings..

Plus Ginny loves him for his Hero ship, not for him .And as for Ron . Well Hermione is a bright wizard and she wants someone who understands her and supports her, but Ron isn't the guy for that . Hermione tells Harry what he should and shouldn't be do all the time and he listen to her like he's her child or something because that is how Hermione treats Harry in the books like he's her son. Ron unlike Harry doesn't like it when Hermione tries to tell him what to do, he rather figure it out on his own. There is no H/Hr in the books because Hermione rarely ever goes near Harry. And Ron is actually pretty damn smart in the books.

Ron lacks a lot of things like Supporting her, being there for her, and respecting her. Harry is always there for her whenever there's a tough situation. And she's cheering him on. The reason she tells him the wrong or rights is cause she worries about him a lot, and doesn't want him to get in trouble and he obeys her, which sometimes lands in the right direction.

And I'm re-reading all the books and i'm on the 6th. All the years in Quidditch, Hermione cheers Harry on, wishes him good luck. She didn't think Ron would do well in the 6th year. Um at first they never talked to each other, but then they started to talk more frequently to a lot. I READ THE BOOKS!!

Ron doesn't insult her. Draco insults her. There's a huge difference when a friend tries to argue your opinion than someone completely bashing you. He would never insult her enough to hurt her that much. Again, if he really did do all those things, he wouldn't be considered one of Hermione's closest friends.
How is Harry more intelligent? They are both lazy doing homework and both have their own "clever" moments. But neither can compare to Hermione.

Ron wasn't even friends with her when he insulted her in the beginning! That point is not valid. And it's not like he spends his time insulting her every moment, he compliments her a lot of times. "I love you, Hermione" "Hermione, you're a livesaver" And when has Harry ever given her compliments like that before Ron? Dumbledore picked Ron not only because Harry was too busy, but because he had his reasons to pick him. Again, Dumbledore is not stupid enough to pick like that.

Harry didn't react afterwards in GoF when she kissed him on the cheek. It was just "unexpected" but nothing happened to him afterwards.
And it's even more if it's your crush. Ron walked all the way back into the Great Hall in a daze. I doubt that's just "normal" reaction for an unexpected kiss.

Well, who wouldn't if they were being opposed? But the fact that they fight back their opinions shows that they're interested. Whereas Harry barely listens to Hermione. Imagine if they dated. Harry would be wishing Ron was there (GoF and DH-it wasn't the same with only Hermy), and Hermione would be constantly fretting over him. Harry needs someone who can make him laugh and make him have fun, not someone who's a mother to him. Hermione can't give what he needs from a girlfriend.

In GoF, he said outright that there were too few laughs when only Hermione was your best friend. Yes, she wants to keep him safe. So does Dumbledore. Hermione, bless her, is more of the serious and motherly type and can't respond to his humor or make him laugh, enjoy life, etc. That's why, again, he needs a mixture of Ron and Hermione. Yeah, most definitely. Ron doesn't shut her out immediately. He debates, he discusses with her. And if Ron and Hermione really WERE annoyed with each other, they'd ignore each other, as what Harry does to Hermione.
And why is Ron good for Hermione and vice versa? They're a stable, balanced relationship. Ron has known Hermione for years enough to know not to get to her bad side, and same with Hermione. Ron brings out her fun side, and Hermione helps Ron be more serious.

No, not really. They only ignore each other when they get into big arguments (and notice they mature during those arguments and afterward as well). Debating isn't the only thing they have in common. They have the same morals, values, and sense of friendship. Actually, it's Ron's jokes that Hermione gives even a hint of smile (evidence). She's known him too long to interpret it the wrong way. Harry wants someone who is witty--someone who'd be able to understand his humor.

Besides, what can Harry do to Hermione as a girlfriend anyway? Those moments without Ron in GoF between him and Hermione were awkward and more in DH. For Harry to be fun, his partner needs to understand what he thinks of as "fun". Ron and Hermione's relationship developed and matured through the books, while Harry and Hermione had no...evidence above sibling-love. Just because they care for each other doesn't mean they're interested romantically. They need some attraction as well.

You really think Harry would just forget about Ron for Hermione? And it was more awkward than that. Harry was angsty again, and Hermione bursts into tears. She can't handle that, even in the books before. Harry's not good at consoling girls. It's just not HAPPY with only Harry and Hermione. They wouldn't last very long.

H/Hr are platonic to the core. They don't see each other as more than brother/sister, and you don't need straight out facts to prove that. Harry has never, NEVER thought of Hermione as attractive and/or girlfriend-material, and when he did (GoF-first time), it didn't makes sense to him. at all.

He obeys her in desperate times. Just as Ron does. Most of the time, he shuts her off when she's giving advice to him

"Harry is smart." Ron is just as smart as Harry. Dumbledore isn't stupid, he could have picked any other smart Gryffindor, but he picked Ron. He didn't pick Ron because he was the only one left.
"Anyway, Harry obeys Hermione" uh, no. Half the time he doesn't. Going to save Sirius, going to talk to Sirius, listening to the HBP. You make Harry seem like an angel or something. He's too stubborn and focused on his own problems to listen to advice most of the time.

@agriggs6 u r right,..... Ron never likes hermioni odering him what to do and what not. He rather figures it out on his own, that is what the main reason of their fights. Ron is rather smart than harry. He iz alwayz there like a freind and tell u its alwayz RON rather possesive than harry.... remember the Malfoy Palace??? Harry was still bit cool with his head working, but RON went mad becoz of his lov and care for her and it was him couldnt wait to save her out and rather fastly and bravely!!

@teenpearl I know, I wanted Ron to punch Harry so bad in that moment. Harry was just standing there in that basement all calm, n collected. N he had the nerves to scream at Ron to calm down. When they all can hear Hermione being cursed by Bell. N they all knew what she did to Longbottom parents. And I loved how Ron broke down in front of Hermione n beg Bell to take him n kill him instead. He didn't care if she saw how much she meant to him in that moment he just wanted her alive n safe.

@agriggs6 So true, I really hope they keep that moment in the film, Ron screaming Hermione's name and breaking down in front of them all and telling Bellatrix to keep him instead, aaww poor Ron...Anyway it just shows how much he really cares and loves her to give up his own life to save her

@agriggs6 Harry as a leader had to be strong for his friends even though Hermione was being tourtured. It wasn't that he was being heartless. You have to have one strong person to hold everyone up when they are down, to be the glue. Harry is the glue.

@GoldMusicHits no Ron and Hermione do NOT kiss in Part 1, according to David Yates, we are actually with Ron and Hermione when they go into the Chamber of Secrets, and the kiss happens there instead of in front of Harry. There is a shot at 0:25 of Ron and Hermione in a "sewer" but if you look closly near the bottom you can see the same metal ladder Harry used to climb into the Chamber of Secrets in Film 2

@GoldMusicHits R/Hr's kiss is one of the final chapters, The Battle of Hogwarts. The split between the two films will be either before Malfoy Manor or Dobby's 'funeral'.. The kiss will defiantly be in part two.
