ooh did i get screwed by buying the dual core 2009 macbook pro it got a 3200 on geekbench and i \use it for after effects but still quad core seems alot better

I don't know where you are getting this information about the Core i family all are quad core ... Look at the intel spec site, it states 2 cores ......

Would you kindly elaborate? Maybe a link? I'm interested but a bit confused; I was almost certain that Core i7 is a quad core processor w/ 4 additional virtual cores. Thanks for watching!

Currently most of the i7s have 4 cores with 2 threads in each core, resulting in the computer seeing it as 8 cores (4x2 = 8), so it has 4 physical core with 2 "virtual cores" in each physical core. Intel has lately added a new member to the Core i7 family. The rumoured Core i7 980x which is 6 cores, and the Xeon form of Core i7 980x is the high 5600 series

I hope Apple 30 inch cinema display gets refreshed as well and not EOL because of the 27 inch or maybe apple may drop the 30 inch and bring out a 32 inch LED priced at $1799

I highly doubt they would release a 32 incher. The most they would do is wait till even bigger resolutions come in and then they would update the 30 incher. This would likely happen around the end of 2011 or possibly 2012. Once again...speculation :-)

@GadgetAddicted do you think Apple is going to kill off the 30 inch? i've been waiting for 2 years for Apple to update the 30 inch and i'm not going to wait until 2011 for a updated 30 inch i'm just going to get the 27-inch LED i'm tired of using a 17 inch (Tan) display on my Mac Pro but there are rumor that Apple may release a 32-inch but don't know how creditable the rumor is, Hope that the price will come down on the 30 inch when the 27-inch arrives I just can't decide the 30 inch or 27 inch

There is a slight chance that Apple MAY kill off the 30 inch but if you want my honest opinion...go for the 27" when it releases. Why? Because of the resolution. It is identical to the 30 incher and 3 inches wont make such a big difference when the resolution is identical. Also, if you are a little tight on cash, you might wanna wait till Apple releases their refurb 27 inchers. Theres not much point of waiting for 30 incher.

overall good vid, but that thing about the price bump on australian and new zealand apple store is false. both those countries use dollars but weaker than the usd. there probably was a mix up for whoever wrote about the price bump. when converted to usd its still more expensive but thats probably bcos of different taxes. look at the swiss apple store. when u convert it to usd, u get the same price diff u mentioned in the video but its been like that for several months probably bcos of taxes.
