In the context of U.S. history and based on the theory of what most us in the U.S. believe about "race", I do have a point. Most people believe that a person is of one "race" or another, and there is no between. I believe this is why our country is in so much termoil. We are all in this, together, as humans first. What I mean by this is that most of the ancestors of slaves were actually from West Africa, where very dark skin and kinky hair are prevalent. Secondly, it was the idea of people that were in favor of slavery to make up that humans could be divided into racial groups. Plus, if you had any West African in you, you were considered a slave. 1luv

I just want to add that most people, black, white, Latino (although not really a race), Asian, Native American are mixed. It could be over time or recent. For example, the parent you consider is white or black, probably got some other ancestry also. Nobody is really 100% of anything. I took the gene testing. It turns out that I'm approximately 60% African, 30% European and 10% Native American/Asian. I could easily say I'm triracial. That's pretty common for a lot of people.

@emmaraldgreen She does have nice hair, but here rhe texture is not african, although she is part Black. Interracial people get called Black because society hasn't reconized us as having a unique identity, but we do. We really don't tend to look like Africans, although they are beautiful too.

But most black women have the same texture of hair and can get the same style. Only thing they do is basically twist the hair and set with rollers. My girlfriend does it all the time. You actually find some Africans like Somalians, Ethopians, etc..with straighter hair than any of them. Let's not stereotype.
