    YOU keep it.

YOU took it back to sell it.

  • LOL

  • Symptomology: British ARSE -SIT.

    Canadian Pulp and Paper syndrome.

    RX: Dead people.

  • So was $18,000 a year for doing the job of everyone in the County and then hers while enduring washing machine spin cycle insults ok then?

It didn't, or hasn't even since seemed at all the case.

  • Right... you were sleeping. Nevermind.

Work it into the "his presence" of the Quotebook in nutcases Kitchen in Egebaston.

*Click*...and it was over. (AGAIN, not the "right audience" for cueing)

    Almost forgot then...

  • ..and some of them are tiny bits of paper that dont do anything unless your eyes make it happen for you.

  • In case you're wondering...these are some of the 300 billion shots fired almost simultaniously in 1997 and 1998... in case you were sleeping. Slowed down dramatically w, but reworked by yours truly with Nuclear coatings... like Red M& M's.

  • So fresh...so new. So what's this got to do with you?

  • songs like this actually had a meaning and nowadays all everyone seems to listen to is crap like LMFAO and nikki minaj..quite sad actually

  • How is there not more views on this??

  • LOVE this tune! I particularly like the sax in this, very nice story as well.

  • TASTAS "GREEN" then?

  • Love artists like Amanda, Jonatha Brooke, Dar Williams, et al... sad that too many are more interested in what's popular and trendy instead of what is just plain great music

  • "ooposites" LMFAO

What. the same Ocean of floaters verses sinkers?

    Wow...Mom...Wow...Mom....

  • Psst.... septic tank duty, on the double STAT.

NExt time I see you , I'll literally break it.

  • STAND UP and try to deny this tune and the vocals...

Many will stay seated as they should..

Amanda Marshal has an AMAZING voice that many WISH they had....

  • I love Amanda! Even live she sounds better than 95% of the crap I hear on the radio. This woman has a voice that deserves attention! I have 2 CDs... are there more?

  • I hate fucken vevo!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 19 inch hatache? What do they mean by that exactly?

  • @leegeorgeson , it was a television "19 inch Hitachi"

  • @flmcmaster Thank you :)

  • The one dislike must be a sobered-up Virgil.

  • still have her deBut cd

  • I have been looking for this song since 1997! :)

  • Funny that she's singing about Tennessee and Alabama yet shes from fucking Canada. Something tells me she didn't write her own lyrics...

  • This song was my anthem back in the 90s. The song had been my story only four years before, just change the names and places a little. I hope the song was able to inspire others to get out their personal "Egypts" and come into their own.

  • Great Voice and song - but where is it now? The story looks like another talent that the record industry failed to bring to us. She should be singing somewhere today.

  • I am a life-long resident of Birmingham, Ala. and I always liked this song; but there is one unintentionally funny scene to the video. YOU SEE -, the Birminham area is notorious for being inundated by as little as one inch of snow accumulation. (SERIOUSLY.) So when the chick in the video goes out to her snow-coated car it always flashes through my mind,"Honey, you picked a lousey day to pack-up and leave. You KNOW that the police have probably already CLOSED the 'interstates'."

    Oh, Canadians!

  • @charliebe28 , I think that snowy morning was after she got the Hell out of Birmingham and made it to Seattle, but I know what you mean. My "Birmingham" was Gainesville, FL, and the times there have been hard freezes and light snow, no one knew how to drive. At least I got out in September. I'm not saying where my Promised Land turned out to be, but "Birmingham" was my anthem. I sincerely hope it was for other women, too. I like it *much* better than the Dixie Chicks' "Goodbye, Earl."

  • @charliebe28 Toronto (a Canadian city, roughly the equivalent of New York if New York were built in the midwest) does that too lol

  • ★★★★★

    Beautiful voice. So much talent.

  • WHY THE HELL IS GAGA ON THIS CHANNEL???

  • Cool voice, great piano riff.

  • The intro and the chorus is the best part of this song. I love how it sounds like a C song then it goes back to D.

  • @ScorpioHitz88 Well Justin Bieber is the only canadian singer who sucks because his music is very cliche and his voice is very bad. And his fangirls are the ones who make him look bad.

  • I honestly don't like her look very much and her voice sounds a little messed up but the way she performs and sings, makes her look sexy. Either way the music is still really good. Not into country style music but it is the music which I find catchy and also her attractive performance.

  • Wow takes me back to when I was in Singapore in 1996 they used to play this on the radio I used to find the intro catchy.

  • Liked her from radio stuff... fell upon concert tickets for her.. O M F G!!!!! She is so KICK ASS!!!!!! Insta-Fan;)

  • @ScorpioHitz88 how so?

  • @ScorpioHitz88 its not even his music that botehrs most ppl. its teh fact that hes a tool and hes extremely overated. like extremely overated

  • @ScorpioHitz88 im canadian and belive me evryone around here thinks JB is the biggest disrgace to eevr come out of it its mainly little girls in the US and europe that ruin music, im actiualoly about 30 minutes away from wherre JB grew up ive probably skated on the same hockey rink that he has(not that im proud of it, bc hes a tool), but yah, noone likes him around here. and this is a great song iagreethat why it doesnt make sense what u said bc JB doesnt make good songs n its wierd he brot uher

  • @NotYourAverageJoe321 Just to let you know, I am in Canada right now. On a vacation.

  • @judenihalmusic lol,, so? you wanna torch justin biebers house or something?

  • @ScorpioHitz88 is that a fucking joke? plz go commit suicide, and im seriosu, just kill yourself, no one would care

  • @Grado2003

How is your post relevant here?

  • I thought Birmingham was okay for most of the time that I lived there, but then Larry Langford REALLY messed it up!

  • what a great song...planning to use this is my work as a future music therapist!!!!

  • I've heard this so many years ago (to me anyway) and I loved it when I was a kid, now its medley is even more appreciated from the youthful memories (I'm 18 haha, but it still has the same effect on me.)

  • Her 1st album was just so good

  • saw her in concert in 96 opened up for Mellincamp and came back and sang with him I was very impressed went the next day and bought her Album still have it and play it often

  • nice

  • Amanda I <3 you... please come back, I miss your sultry voice

  • This song along with all of her others have empowered me to move on in a new direction. I have been divorced for almost a year. I started really listening to her music and this song in paraticular has really made me think about my life and where I am. Since my children are grown and my youngest graduates high school this year\off to college, I am now looking to move and start a new life somewhere else. I also hope to see this artist come back. I would love to see her in concert. She is AMAZING!!

  • fantastic song! I wish she would revive her career-what an awesome talent!!!!!

  • Look at the customers' reviews of her first album at Amazon.com and you will see that the CD is one of the highest rated CD on the site. In 1997, she was the 4th top selling female artist in the world. All top 4 were Canadians: Celine Dion, Shania Twain, Allanis Morrisette and Amanda Marshall. Did you know that she started taking singing lessons at the age of 3?

  • Download the audio from this vid at searchripgrab d0ht c0hm.

  • While she is overlooked and underappreciated by mainstream radio, she stays true to her art, and those who appreciate music with a heart and soul rather than a candy wrapper.

  • a song about living a bad relationshop and moving on lol

The radios in US totally cutted her from the airwaves

  • i've played guitar for more than 30 years.....listened to so many artists and styles of music....i can honestly say she has the best voice this side of Aretha Franklin....it would be an honor to play on a record of hers.....the most underrated singer of this era

  • Amanda Marshall's magnum opus, a powerful, utterly spellbinding performance. And isn't she just the coolest of the cool? " ...because there's another chance, a someday soon, shining out like the Alabama moon; she's looking for the promised land, out behind the lights of Birmingham..."

  • The moment when she first realizes that she is free (where she is standing outside the car looking up and watching it fall) is forever burned into my memory. All abused women should get to experience this emotion!!!!

  • I have this cassette and love this song. Had never seen the video until now. Much underrated artist.

  • She was one of the few good things I've seen during that year.

  • This ain't Reece Witherspoon's Alabama here ya'll. This is an unfortunate reality that happens everywhere-everyday. It's happening now-sad. NO ONE deserves to feel less than they are. NO ONE.

  • @gravelandgrain100 what are YOU talking about?

  • Now THIS is a cool song, I use to listen to this on Casey's Top 40 when I was in High School and it was a Top 40 Hit on Radio & Records and it was a Big Hit on Adult Radio as well.

God Bless Amanda Marshall, that woman sing and move as well.

  • one of my favourites

  • Great song and her voice really nails it. I wonder where she went. I fell out of touch with her when she started doing her super bright color pop songs with videos to match.

  • Anyone know who directs her videos??

  • is she biracial? not that it matters, she's hot.

  • @SUPERSCHMOO yes, she has a caucasian dad and a black Trinidadian mother.

She is very pretty and a great voice.

  • This so reminds me of 1996...........good times. Great Song.

  • @Ronton617 best year ever

  • @Ronton617 In Singapore, I used to look at my neighbours Big Screen TV and be scared of it and this song kicks on the radio back in 1996 lol.

  • @Ronton617 Oh yes. 1996 was an awesome year, and this song along with Alanis' many masterpieces from "Jagged Little Pill" throw me straight back then. I remember it vividly (though I was only in 3rd-4th grade). Take Care!

  • @Ronton617

    Couldn't agree more. Well said.

  • I have seen many performers in my life but have never seen a singer like Amanda! Thank god she is Canadian Eh! Rock on Gal!

  • @TheWwefan1999 -

    I've yet to meet a Canadian I didn't like.

  • @TheWwefan1999 A canadian, and a WWE fan, couldnt be anymore stereotypical

  • LOVE THIS SONG, she has such an amazing voicee!!
