I guess that the idea is that somebody approaches you before you give a hug (if they do want to) and not other way around... There would have been more passion if the move is being done in this manner.... Just a thought... It's just that ive seen the video done by sick puppies and I saw a great deal of passion in those hugs...

@airelaligrev ....yes...it's true.....we still need to show our countrymen the comfort and warmth of a hug,....in other countries, it's really done with passion but in the philippines there could be malice or doubts if u don't know the person....we are known as loving, caring, friendly and warm people but it doesn't show sometimes....maybe in our own own little ways , we can start doing this as a greeting or maybe a therapy to us and to others....thanks for the thought...

this is one of filipino doesnt do a lot in philippines.. .but i know filipino's are loving and caring.. .hnd katulad dito sa canada.. .hugs is normal.. .everday hugs everywhere.. .but in the ph.. .once me hinug ka or hinug ka.. .me malisya.. .

u're right...in other countries, hug is a normal way of greeting, welcoming or caring...we must do it here in the phil.too without malice......dapat din masanay ang mga kababayan natin to greet others with hugs....at any rate, we will come to that coz many are doing it now...thanks...

many groups are doing the "free hugs" campaign here in the philippines....you can click and watch those videos here in you tube.....we are never behind the latest happenings or craze...though ours is a third world country, we still have the guts to compete and be in the frontrunners....mabuhay ang mga pilipino!!

hi koldexx21....thanks for ur comment...u're entitled to it...just want to say that it's not corny for us: first, it's an experiment and a school projest; second: it feels good to smile, meet and know you don't even know and just give a sincere hug.....it's not plastic if the feeling of sincerity is there....jesus hugged and touched every man or woman he doesn't even know....and he's god...so who are we to judge and intimidate people...we'd rather be humble than proud..thanks anyway..good luck!

I don't think that this people only after for the credit given by their professor. They have their own free will to decide for themselves if they want to pursue the project or chose another one; the only role of the professor is to approve or deny their proposal. duh...
