@terbear80 sorry to keep you waiting, L stands for leechers, they basically share with you what they have, and you upload to them what you have, seeders however have the files 100%...so simply put:

if S(seeders) = 1 and L(leechers)=0 is better than S=0 and L=500

bitlord file is .torrent, it is only executable by bitlord program, bitlord will download it until 100%, go to the directory you downloaded it in and run it

this is becsause you are downloading something that no one is uploading, they only added the file but they deleted it, you always have to check for the SEEDs on the S column

however, it is so usual that it will stuck on 0% until the bandwidth become stronger or people to upload, e.g. in my case, it is always 0% in daytime, but at night it goes Shfffeeeeeo 100%!!!

as long as there are lots of Seeds in the column 50+ then you are gonna be alright just have patience, specially if the file is in GBs

if it has an ISO extension download poweriso and install it, then virtually mount the CD images, install them crack them" if needed" then play them.

if they are rar extension download and install winrar, unizip them then play the games

Dude! You are right: Everybody who uses P2P shall have very good antivirus program. Ive got IE antivirus malware program. I can not open any of my floders on my computer becouse it was a virus. Then i killed it with avira antivirus. So you shall have Avira on your computer if you use P2P. By the way is bitlord better than uTorrent? I got uTorrent 1.8.2

I've tried them all, first Birlord, then Bitlord, then Azureus, then utorrent.

They all look the same, however there are more pople use Aureus than people use utorrent and Bitlord.

They might be different, but when I use something other than Bitlord, I feel something missing.

So I think Azureus is fastest, but I don't care, it will be obvious if you have a very fast connection which I lack.

You may have too open it with another media player, as WMP often have problems with oppening movie files, try VLC instead:)

well if you want to know where the files are, then go to the destination where you've installed the program, open the folder download, that's the default destination, but to sync it onto an ipod....don't ask coz I am not an ipod fan.

Go to the destination where you installed bitlord then go to downloads you'll get it there, if you downloaded an iso image, you have to download PowerISO

You can't...unless you have a better internet service, I have talktalk broaband, and it stayes on 0KBps for a long time...you have to get used to it.

Hoever, as long as you pick up files with massive SEEDS, this will speed up the process, but you can rarely find them.

you highlight the movie then you open the folder that says open dir a window comes up then you just click on the movie file. don't download music because there is an arguement over sharing music at the moment, wait till it cools off.

It is recommended to have an Anti-Virus, but as far as my experience for the last 3 years, I didn't get any viruses from it, once you install it and run from the first time, Windows firwall will prompt you if you want to keep blocking or permit the service, just say permit, this happens to all P2P services...it's like breathing.

I've heard that for BitLord your download speed is proportional to your upload speed. Does anyone know what this proportion is?

I ask because I got a warning message yesterday from my internet provider saying that I had downloads + uploads of over 34GB (max allowed is 15GB). This resulted from downloading a 6GB file, so I guess I have to limit my downloading or reduce the uploading.

Any suggestions?

Hmmmm, looks like proportional means ratio shich means if you download 2KBps and you upload 4KBps this is a ratio of 2:4 or 1:2, but you're talking in volume, so I am not really sure what that means, however, what are you supposed to do now, that you violated the license?

First of all you need to make sure that you are using a computer that is connected to a network that doesn't block P2P file sharing, if that so, then it will stays at connecting. if you're using a computer that accepts this type of service try checking the number of seeds of that file, if it's high then your internet connection is very low and the program will not work by saying...connecting. hope that helps.
