Depends on how close the defenders are to the ball. In this case they could have lunged with their heads and gotten kicked in the face. Bicycle kicks are simply too cool to call a foul on.

It's only dangerous play if your boot is that high and your opponent is contsting the ball with his head which in this case he is not. Look properly, the other guy doesn't even go for the ball with his head or look for a foul from the ref either.
