  • Humans = Great Danger!!!

  • I used to have a dodo but then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • cool.

    dodoclub123

  • dodo for the win!

  • 4:20! Cute!!! :)

  • I think that the music does NOT match the video. But anyways, the pictures are cute! Dodos were funny lookin old things. :)

  • I love this, it made me cry. Dodos were so innocent and trusting. I live in hope that there is still dodos out there somewhere, hiding from mankind.

  • it's all cause the dirty dutch people >:O

  • @aksarayish actully the dodo was extinct before the Dutch arived the Portuguese killed the Dodo.

  • @Umedark ow that stupid portuguese people i would a dodo soooooooooo much as my pet :(

  • what song is this ?

  • after my girlfriend broke up with me 6 months ago, this song makes me really sad. i love you!

  • This video really made me sad!!! :( ;( ;((((((((

  • I HATE THAT MUSIC!!!

  • Most species that have ever existed are extinct. Most living beings that have ever existed are dead. The earth has completely changed many many times.

  • flintstones used to eat their eggs i remember how i envy him

  • Fuck you elders! Now I will never see a mammoth in my life !! wtf seriously?

This is called evolution.. If they were so useful they would've survived, surely back then (round 1690) when humans weren't able to kill animals as fast as they do nowadays.

  • @Superelve In nature there are no useless or useful animals, it is a human expression. These animals evolved in an environment with no natural enemies, there was not envisaged that once people come and shoot at them because it's fun to kill animals that do not run and do not feel fear (surely they are stupid, "stupid" animals do not deserve to exist).

  • just wait for the dodo bird messiah's return!!

  • i heard they were pretty stuped and they tasted good.....sucks there gone....but things die everyday....new life is made faster then death so new breeds of animals are being born everyday....

  • hungry dickheads must have grilled them to extinction they should have been cultivated they could be delicious when grilled

  • Dodos are dumb but its not there folt, actually its very interesting the had tiny wings so they coudnt escape from the dogs of the human kind they lived happily i an island that is now called Mauritius or something like that , humans have been the cause of meny extiguished species but the human kind have saved lots of animals from natural causes of death.

  • stupid bird. When there were 2 off these and one of them was murderen brutally the other one just stand there and watch...

  • Each species has a certain amount of time on earth no matter how smart or dumb. Back then the Universe was a lot more violent with meteors and shit. We got it good, if a bunch of meteors hit us like it did then most of us humans would be gone. Just remember, dumb luck plays a big part in everybodies lives.

  • think you mean extinct

  • guys that bird was fucking dumb as a brik thts y it is extintinked

  • @XxBEASTBOIxX1 ''extintinked''? i think you 'extinct'...your poor grasp of the english language will make you extinct. It was an island bird with no natural predators so became flightless and was hunted to extinction my human beings, not becasue, as you say ' fucking dumb'

  • the last melon....

  • lol'd at the music.

  • uy me encantan los dodos no se por que jejejejejejejeje ; ) = )

  • well they do look tasty, i would love to know what they tasted like, man if i had a time-machine i would go back and bring them to this age and farm millions of them and be only the person to farm dodo meat and make a fortune LOL!

  • this thing is fucking creeping no wonder its dead

  • Comment removed

  • Foolish men misinterpreted innocence for ignorance so they thought the bird deserved whatever genocide they brought down upon the dodo's paradise. The same is true for the booby. These birds had no instinct of fear because they lived in a world with little or no predation. Arrogant men interpret this lack of fear as foolishness. The cruelty of man knows no bounds. But what can we expect from such a degenerate species as ours? We even slaughter each other.

  • i have a question how made god and you can clone a dodo anyways but some fucking religious think clones are bad

  • The Bible states that birds, are a different beast. God has given us so many gifts, such as the Dodo Bird.

  • the dutch killed them off, ate all of them and then said they were not delicious, really?... what a bunch of sad little coward losers!

  • Tantum silenti etc mos usus pacis.

  • Y'all BITCHEZ should stop with them fucking science talk who the fuk cares ?! Enjoy the goddamn video and if u got shit to say say it to your mom !!! I get we killed em but it OVER IT'S DONE your motherfucking arguing ain't gonna bring them bak so I suggest yallz shut the fuk and just watch the video -_____-

  • No it was a creature made from the process of evolution not the magic man in the sky

  • poor dodos i love birds and i feel really bad for those dodos.

  • @iluvreborns948 you tell me im a mauritian

  • Actually. We could start breed them again, it's not to hard to find Dodo dna from the past. Already we have found dinosaur DNA.

Sadly.. it's illegal to "wake up" extinct animals

  • @Brightbroad Lets hope so!!

  • The dutch ate all my dodo's

  • Looks Tasty.....

  • my name is dorian and everybody calls me dodo :-)

  • Comment removed

  • insyallah....

  • This is a beautiful video.

  • Im so PISSED right now! I want one!

  • The truth is, with no predators, what evolves is a species like the Dodo.It had no defence and no fear, and was on a dead-end road to extinction, with or without mankind.

  • @MrCorfuz bullshit,it could have evolved if we didnt kill it

  • i love everescence, but not as much as dodo birds. :'(

  • who else came here after watching The Ricky Gervais Show?

  • @PalesAbuShreek Holy fucking shit ME lol Im watching it on 4od and i paused it to look up the dodo bird haha

  • @TranceInMyPants21 i learn a lot of shit watching that show :-)

  • Fuck you elders!! Now I will never see a dodo bird in my life because of you!!!

  • @Ipang69 Why is it the elders Fault?

  • @FUNxH1TM4N Because they haunt Dodo birds, and now i can't see those little birds anymore in my life :(

  • @Ipang69 hey one day u might see something new that they have never seen

  • @Ipang69 Actually according to what I read, the dodo became extinct by natural causes, it was a "freak of nature" and couldn't survive on its own, so people chose not to save it. It's not always humanity's fault, you know. How else would 99% of all animals die out before humans even existed.

  • @DrMadolite In addition to the extinction of the dodo amazingly coincides with the arrival of humans and other invasive species (dogs, cats, rats, and so on). "It was a" freak of nature "... it is a human term, in nature there is no freak.

Dodo had been successful species hundreds of thousands of years. If people did not behave so irresponsibly towards such a unique species, there would still be alive, such as kiwi.

  • @ExtremeMadnessX Yes, I'm aware of humans hunting it. But in addition to that, the Dodo had a beak and behaviour that doomed it to extinction. Humans only hastened the process. It could potentially exist today, naturally. But with enough time it would be gone forever.

  • @DrMadolite Well actually that species that are too specialized for a particular environment or food (for example, Panda), are more exposed to extinction than opportunistic species (cockroaches, rats).

But I do not see that the population of the dodo was very compromised or reduced (from volcanic eruptions, the disappearance of food or climate change) before the arrival of humans.

  • @ExtremeMadnessX An btw, "hundreds of thousands of years" isn't necessarily successful in evolution. It's too short amount of time to really pit the species against the elements.

  • @DrMadolite I think that there is no evidence that the elements turn against the dodo, before the arrival of the man they were very successful species, such as the Tasmanian tiger and many other Australian marsupials, and do not forget that American bison was saved almost at the last moment from extinction.

  • @ExtremeMadnessX Well, that's your right to think so. I just weigh things differently, that's all. They had bad beaks, their wings didn't help much, and more. Kinda like the sabertooth tiger slowly getting overgrown teeth and dying from that.

But at the end of the day though, I think we can both agree to the fact that human intervention is indeed a major problem and as the master species, we must do everything in our power to preserve nature and not intervene.

  • @DrMadolite Well now, saber-toothed "tiger" or Smilodon, its extinction was caused by a combination of climate change which is why starting extinct large herbivores, and Smilodon extreme specialization for killing large prey with the help of big huge fangs and generally stronger body build.

Even though you're actually saying is correct, I like a bit more to go into detail. :-)

  • @ExtremeMadnessX Here's an interesting link:

    /watch?v=83YiYnH3DB4&feature=related

  • @DrMadolite Interesting link, thanks!

  • @Ipang69 great history museum in the animal section:DD

  • THE KILLERS OF THE DODO BIRDS ARE GAY

  • IM REALY DODO BIRDS ARE BEST

  • they are frm my island mauritius

  • My nickname is Dodo... =)

  • @TonyTheMusicGuy Yea because your useless

  • if this makes you sad imagine when the find sasquatch what horrible thing will they do to it

  • WHY THEY ARE EXTINCT

    ps:look my username

  • @dodobirdsarebest a flash flood and overhunting

  • @ shaunshorn, actually... Evolution was part of what gave humans the ability to use tools, or technology which was the first steps towards the technology we have now. If the first humans didn't evolve enough to use tools then we wouldn't have the technology for you to be arguing with the dude below. Nor do I see where he said anything about an omnivore diet being 50% meat based. Of course, they are always changing the recommended daily values of how much grains, fruits, veggies, meats and sweet

  • @sylversongbird, you said we evolved to eat large animals. I said, we didn't. We are APES, not CATS. Evolution allowed us to break free from our genes, but savages like you want to stay close to your genes, so u can pretend that u don't know what you're doing, that ur behavior is completely natural, that u're being driven to make animals go extinct, when that is ALL a lie. You have free will, u can think, you can make a choice - things you wouldn't be able to do if u were programmed by genes.

  • @shaunshorn75 You are an overly emotional brat who likes to scream at people and put words in their mouths. I never said a word about evolving to eat large animals, nor did I say anything about driving animals to extinction. I just mentioned that humans evolved to use tools/technology. You are an abusive jerk. Which could mean that you are the "Psychopath" because you know better, you just dont care. You seem like one of those animal rights people that would kill anything that got in your way.

  • @sylversongbird, I'm an overly emotional brat? I'm an abusive jerk? That's you who u're talking about. You failed again at an intelligent discussion, because u're the one who lives on emotions, completely incapable of arguing your point, instead resorting to "this is what I want, so I'm having it" - YOU'RE THE BRAT!

You have failed to explain the EVOLUTIONARY PRESSURES ON HUMANS that forced them to acquire intelligence in order to kill large animals.

TELL ME HOW LANGUAGE EVOLVED, for example?

  • @shaunshorn75 All animals adapt to what make them the best to survive in a specific environment. One of my adaptations is to laugh at people like you and walk away, hopefully not falling down because I am laughing so hard.

Learn to converse instead of pointing fingers and maybe you will be worth spending time on. Till then, stop putting words in others mouths. Makes you seem like a small minded idiot who has no intellegence, because you are arguing based on what you feel rather than reason.

  • @sylversongbird, it's interesting that you call me one of those "animal rights" people, simply for mentioning the appalling conditions in which animals are kept. Treating animals like that has NOTHING to do with eating them for food, for survival.

My assumptions about you were right the first time - you're a COMPLETE SAVAGE. I also think you probably hunt animals for fun, get a real kick seeing the suffering - a psychopath, in short - hence you're EMOTIONAL & ABUSIVE responses to my posts.

  • @shaunshorn75 So, you go ahead and say what you will. I am not moved by your ranting. :) Have a good life...

  • @sylversongbird, as you're an evolutionary failure, as you have inferior genes to me, I'll treat you how I want, just as you treat animals how you want. Don't complain. It's evolution!

  • @shaunshorn75 Boy, you better watch your fucking mouth. Mind how you talk to women.

  • @karelsson, resorting to threats now? You're a woman now? I can't keep up with your lies! You sound more like a violent barbarian to me. You want special treatment just for being female? LOL!

I quoted SCIENTISTS who said the Dodo was an EVOLUTIONARY SUCCESS, I cited HARD SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE, but you ignored that and all the other facts I have given.

You are driven by emotions. You're a lousy retail clerk, at the bottom of the human evolutionary ladder. You're an evolutionary failure!

  • @shaunshorn75 Actually, sylversongbird is a woman. A woman who happens to be my partner. You are the one exhibiting the behavior of a troll. Do you have any children?

  • @shaunshorn75 Since you are so apt to point out that I was once a retail clerk, I for one would like to see your credentials and how you measure up....so if you please, I would like the following information: 1. University you attended, major and GPA. 2. Current profession. and 3.Do you have any children? I want to see if your family line is going to end with you.

  • @karelsson, I brought up your job, Dodo, because you believe that those with "superior" genes have a right to dominate those with "inferior" genes. I was just using your Nazi tendencies against you, to see if you liked it - AND YOU DON'T! "Coward" is the term for you.

  • @karelsson, there was another idiot on YT, trying to turn humans into CATS, saying cavemen hunted meat, so I'm eating loads of meat, dairy, 2.

Fool doesn't know that most people in the world today (those descended from cavemen) r LACTOSE INTOLERANT, so they can't digest milk, etc

Paul Sherman, prof. of neurobiology, "This is a...case of how cultural evolution...the domestication of cattle has guided our [recent] biological evolution."

7000 yrs ago, white europeans couldn't digest milk either.

  • @shaunshorn75 that was a strange reply

Where did cats come into it

    I didn't even mention cats

Since you failed to address anything I said I am bidding you goodbye

  • @karelsson, this obsession with eating more & more meat is bizarre & akin to CEO greed, where multi-millionaires want to become multi-billionaires, & multi-billionaires want to become multi-trillionaires.

This fetish for meat is CULTURAL more than anything else. It's rooted in selfishness. "I like meat, therefore I'm going to eat meat", more & more of it, regardless of the damage I'm doing to the natural world & my health. CEOs also don't care about the damage they do,they even use child labor.

  • @karelsson, commonsense tells you that we aren't great meat eaters. A healthy diet for humans is plenty of fruit, vegetables & nuts. Give that diet to a cat & it DIES! If u want to increase ur chances of getting colon & other cancers, eat plenty of red meat.

This is more about ur SELFISHNESS, using any lame excuse to justify what YOU want. Just like CEOs, who also lie to the public to get what they want. How many people have lost their homes in the US thanks to the banks & speculators' greed?

  • @shaunshorn75You are a waste of breath. No matter what I say, you will twist it.

  • @karelsson, I'm twisting nothing. What else do SCIENTISTS say? Why, for example, do people love fatty food - sausages, hamburgers, etc.?

Because fatty food was once hard to come by, but high in calories, hence a liking for fatty food had an evolutionary advantage. Now, thanks to factory farming, fatty food is in an abundance & people can't stop eating it. Corporations like McDonalds are using evolution against us, to sell us unhealthy - but addictive! - food that makes them rich & us obese.

  • @karelsson, you don't want to hear the truth, I understand that. I quoted what the scientists said about the Dodo, that it was evolutionarily successful, but your response was, fuck the Dodo, it couldn't survive humans trampling all over it, so thank God it went extinct.

You really are a total nutcase!

  • @karelsson, the fact that white meat is healthier for us to eat is also a clue that we weren't meant to consume large animals like there's no tomorrow - white meat is small animals: chicken, fish, etc. Even then small amounts r best.

As for vegetarians, u have NO RIGHT 2 control what they do. u're a savage, so I can't expect much from u, but some people have escaped their genes & evolved minds, &, for them, how animals r treated enters into their consciousness, even though it NEVER enters urs.

  • @shaunshorn75 of course meat is an integral part of the human diet

To suggest otherwise is a fabrication dreamt up by a lunatic

  • @richcampoverde, read my posts MANIAC. We are APES, and all other apes eat fruit and nuts, & very little meat. Chimpanzees diet is 5% or so meat. We should be eating at least 80% fruit, veg., & nuts.

WE R NOT CATS! If we had evolved to eat so much meat, to eat large animals, we'd have claws, big bodies relative to our prey, and huge canine teeth to tear into flesh.

NO OTHER ANIMAL COOKS THEIR MEAT, Dodo! Why don't you eat RAW meat, idiot, since you think you evolved to be a huge meat eater.

  • The SCIENTIFIC reality is it doesn't matter whether u eat meat or not - what matters is getting the right nutrients. Animals do NOT argue that they are meat eaters - they eat meat in order to survive, as a NECESSITY. Humans are perfectly able to obtain their nutrients from far more sources of food than just meat. Vegetarians CAN have perfectly nutritionally adequate diets.

I'm stating the FACTS. If you want to get all emotional & abusive because you hate hearing facts, take it elsewhere.

  • @richcampoverde, why don't you man up and have the courage to admit that you love eating meat - plenty of it! - and that's why you don't want a rational debate on this topic.

  • @richcampoverde, the last lunatic was arguing that animals should be allowed to go extinct to feed his insatiable appetite for meat. That's not a rational or scientifically-sound argument. He also has NO RIGHT to devastate the natural world that belongs to ALL OF US.

  • @richcampoverde, you can't give a cat a vegetarian diet - IT WOULD DIE! But you can give a human a vegetarian diet. That should tell you something.

We may have eaten more meat than other apes in the past - in order to obtain NUTRIENTS - but, today, we now eat far more meat than ever - THAT IS NOT NATURAL - obesity does not aid survival!

  • @sylversongbird, read my posts - evolution gave us a mind that allowed us to break free from our genes and THINK! We don't need to eat so much meat. We have DECIDED to exploit meat as a food source. Using your logic, I can argue, then, that evolution also gave us guns and knives and nuclear bombs, so let's all go on a killing spree, and finish off by nuking the world - IT'S WHAT EVOLUTION WANTS!

YOU ARE DISTORTING EVOLUTION AND THE NATURE OF HUMAN BEINGS. We r NOT mere robots, mere automatons.

  • @shaunshorn75 Hunting and the need for more efficient hunting tools caused our technology to evolve. This is why we have knives and possibly guns as well. If it is not why we have guns, then it was conflict with other humans/hominids which has been a catalyst for change and evolution. Thus we have deveoped better weapons, better technology. Evolution occurs on all levels. It is NOT JUST on a genetic level. Noone ever stated that we were simply robots.

  • @karelsson, cut the lies. The "need" to hunt for animals was NOT responsible for our complex brains. I could quote scientists and give you the hard scientific evidence, but I'd be wasting my time - you don't have the intelligence! You're a much more primitive creature than me, so I shouldn't really be angry, as your genes aren't up to it.

    END OF DISCUSSION.

    GOODBYE AND GOOD RIDDANCE!

  • @sylversongbird, evolution can't explain CONSCIOUSNESS or our CONSCIOUS EXPERIENCES - until a theory can - and I'm with Einstein in believing that NO theory of matter will ever explain it - evolution merely explains the body, not the mind. Our bodies are APE bodies, and we do NOT require much meat.

  • @sylversongbird, evolution also gave us a conscience, but some people like to pretend that they don't have one; some don't, and science has a term for them: "psychopath".

We also have a language so that we can communicate wrongdoing to others - what other animal talks about "having qualms" or "feeling guilt" or "being unscrupulous" or "behaving immorally"?

  • @sylversongbird This guy is a troll look how he has screwed up this vid with his silly comments just block him

  • @richcampoverde You're probably right. It appears that he can't tell the difference between names, writing styles, and is just ranting. I dont get guys like this.. first he argues one way, then he argues the other way, he puts words in others mouths, it is like he is schizoid affective or a full blown schizophrenic. I really have nothing to say to him, he isnt worth my precious time that I could spend on my family, work or working toward my doctorate.

  • @richcampoverde Although, his type is the reason I had hesitated about going into fields like Psychiatry and Psychology. Some people are just bat-shit crazy and have no logic or reason at all. At that point, you can either beat your head against the brick wall of their insecurity and stubbornness or just move on and not bother with their craziness.

  • That explains everything. Shaunshorn is a damned vegetarian. Worthless waste of flesh.

  • @karelsson, where did I say I was a vegetarian? It's a waste of time talking to u because YOU HAVE NO INTELLIGENCE. I can see how u're mind works & it's very primitive. It's probably safe to assume that u never went to university, cos u don't know how to carry on a proper debate

u said the Dodo deserved to go extinct because it wasn't successful. SCIENTISTS say otherwise, & they have HARD SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE to back up their assertions

You have NOTHING to say, because u don't know anything.

  • @shaunshorn75 If you would assume I never went to a University youd be incorrect. I am a pre-med student and Biochemistry major with a 3.8 GPA. No intelligence indeed. You argued that mankind never evolved to be meat-eaters. I appreciate you complimenting my primitivity. I really do. Simplicity is the key to happiness. Go fight your war on humanity elsewhere.

  • @shaunshorn75 where did I say that manking should live on a wholly meat-based diet? As a matter of fact, a good chunk of my diet is vegetarian and fish. I prefer meat that has been sacrificed in a dignified fashion if I eat meat.

  • @karelsson, nice to see that you're a DICTATOR AND TYRANT, someone who thinks they have a right to decide who gets to live and what their actions should be in life.

YOU DON'T OWN THE WORLD, KARELSSON. You don't own my life or anyone else's.

  • @shaunshorn75 But I do own mine.

  • @karelsson, I'd like to see a human survive healthily on just meat. Eating too much red meat massively increases your chances of colon cancer, for starters. The human digestive tract is NOT geared up for a meat-only diet - that's because we are NOT CARNIVORES!

You can shove your worthless opinions, karelesson. You're just another youtube troll. Get off youtube and get a life, then maybe you'll have something to say.

  • @shaunshorn75 LOL where did I suggest humans should live on a meat-only diet? In fact, there are many humans that could really do with a lot less meat and taters in their diet. We are OMNIVORES! We eat both meat and plant matter.

  • @karelsson, like a true youtube troll, you failed at having an intelligent discussion - you just resorted to personal abuse from the start, and that's because you're a RETAIL CLERK who has NOTHING to say.

You asserted that I was a vegetarian when I didn't even mention vegetarianism. You're the one who thinks humans are either carnivores or vegetarians - not me!

    END OF CONVERSATION.

    GOODBYE!

  • @shaunshorn75 And I challenge you to show me where I made the assertion that humans were either one polar extreme or the other. That we are either meat eaters or vegetarians as opposed to both.

  • @karelsson, my personal details are private. I have NO intention of telling utube what school I went to, what I do now, or where I live. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, told the public that there's nothing to worry about regarding Facebook's new privacy policy - u must EXPLICITLY opt out, otherwise the personal info. on ur facebook account gets passed to partner companies. Then an e-mail surfaces, in which Zuckerberg calls the public FOOLS for believing what he said & not opting out en masse.

  • @karelsson,gorillas r almost total vegetarians, though they eat the odd insect now & then when hungry. One swipe of a gorillas arm is enough to knock the strongest man unconscious. What about Orangutans, closely related to us? Their diet is fruit & nuts. How about bonobos? They eat mostly fruit, & some insects. Orangutans & bonobos will opportunistically eat small mammals, but rarely.

Chimpanzees? Again fruit, insects, eggs, they do actively hunt, but small mammals is 5% or so of their diet.

  • @shaunshorn75 Um we naturally have more meat in our diet than those species and it is directly responsible for our increased size in our cranial cavity as compared with these species you mentioned. On the flip side, please read above when I stated my diet is predominately vegetarian. I am strongly against industrialized meat, finding their practices unnecessarily cruel. I prefer instead to slaughter my own meat, knowing the animal was treated with dignity and slaughtered in a sacred fashion

  • @karelsson, we've gone way off topic. I don't know what it is with people like u, but, clearly, u don't feel like a real man unless you're slaughtering animals wholesale, and ramming meat into your digestive tract until it bursts.

We are NOT cats. We are NOT anywhere similar to a cat. Cats need plenty of meat & cannot survive without it. That's why cats have sharp claws, big bodies - relative to their prey! - & large canine teeth. Evolution gave them the weapons to hunt with - weapons we lack!

  • @shaunshorn75 Evolution gave us the ability to make weapons of our own. Part of that evolution is directly related to the acquisition of meat into previous human species diet.

  • @karelsson, evolution did not. Did evolution also give us the ability to design computers? No! We CHOSE to design computers. Our minds & brains give us incredible flexibility of thought, allowing us to escape the limitations of our genes. Scientists have found NO genes that program behavior, let alone genes that control the mind. Neuroscientists admit that genes CANNOT control the development of something as complex as the brain, meaning what the mind does is NOT caused by genes.

  • @shaunshorn75 There is a strong correlation between the acquisition of meat into the hominid diet and increased brain size. Yes we chose to design computers using human ingenuity. Our reason and ability to use tools and technology are a product of evolution. I never suggested our behavior was programmed genetically. But certain abilities a product of evolution. The very abilities which eventually led to the design of computers.

  • @karelsson, we did NOT evolve a complex brain to hunt animals. Our brains are used for much more complex survival purposes, including socialization, which is why when someone smiles, we all know instantly they are happy.

Your mistake is to believe that the word "omnivore" means we should be eating 50% meat, but that is NOT what it means. We are apes, and we should be eating at least 80% fruit and vegetables for a healthy, natural diet.

  • @shaunshorn75 No, our complex brain functions stemmed from the acquisition of meat into the human diet not the other way around. I never claimed 50/50 anything. I would actually suggest that our diets should be 75% plant based and maybe 25% animal based. I never once said 50/50 nor was it implied.

  • @karelsson, Part I: I said we did NOT evolve a complex brain in order to catch & kill big animals. u said we did. Don't now quote a theory that hasn't been proven scientifically. Look at the empirical evidence: humans left Africa around 125,000 to 60,000 yrs ago. Now, look at africa: big animals still roaming around, herds of animals still migrating across the continent. Then look at, say, the US, colonized very recently a few hundred yrs ago. Where r the big animals? Where r the herds of bison?

  • @shaunshorn75 Actually, we did evolve to catch and kill large game animals. Look at Africa, many species have died out. Sometimes this is from human interference, sometimes not.

  • @karelsson, PII: Now, according to u we evolved to kill & eat BIG animals. But the humans that came out of Africa were modern-day humans, not primitive. They didn't wipe out the big animals in Africa. Yet, as soon as man left Africa, he started to become extremely destructive. Started to create an artificial environment & exploit nature to the full. By the time he reached the American continent, he had learned how to kill large animals extremely efficiently - they had become an easy food source!

  • @karelsson, PART III, and now the destruction continues to this day, &, in fact, is worsening, as humans like u try to convince other humans that we are natural meat eaters, evolved to kill large animals, evolved to eat a lot of meat, when that is NOT true. So now we have factory farming, in which millions of animals are kept in appalling, unnatural conditions in order to feed the insatiable appetites of people like you, who want to see nature raped & pillaged until nothing is left, except man.

  • @karelsson, also, evolution does NOT explain consciousness. Until that can be explained - Einstein said science will NEVER explain it, and I'm in his camp - our understanding of human behavior is limited. However, self-awareness, conscious experiences, & having emotions are also outside the control of our genes. Just another reason why we are NOT automatons, as you try to claim. We are far more than the sum of our genes.

  • @karelsson, read my posts to "sylversongbird", as I thought she/he was you. Looks like now the youtube trolls are ganging up on me.

  • @karelsson, go on a diet & do some exercise, you fat pig! It's pretty obvious that eating meat 24/7 is already harming your health. You're a retail clerk? No surprise there! You don't have the intelligence to do a job that requires having a brain.

& don't start lying about your qualifications. The fact that you persist in saying the Dodo was an evolutionary disaster when SCIENTISTS say otherwise - and I quoted the scientists! - shows that your profile page is correct - you're a retail clerk!

  • @shaunshorn75 again, you shout only insults from an emotional base. I must be mistaken about my qualifications as from your computer chair in fuck knows where, you clearly know me better than I do. I never sought to insult you initially. I am in my undergraduate right now as a sophomore and non-traditional student after many years of dead-end jobs. Currently, my profile is outdated as I am no longer in retail. I chose to stay at home to take care of my 7 month old daughter and focus on school.

  • What I love about people like karellson - who think species exist for them to make extinct - is dump them on the moon, where there is no life, and they'll soon learn to respect & admire what they presently destroy. I suggest we exile karellson to the moon.

  • @shaunshorn75 Luckily, I dont answer to you and really could care less what you think. So Ill just mind my own heathen business. The videos I posted have nothing to do with showing off and everything to do with education. But you are sadly misinformed. Anyways, animal sacrifice is protected under the United States Constitution.

  • I will add this, though: nature belongs to ALL of us. Certain individuals who have decided to play God, in fact, have NO RIGHT to decide that a particular animal or plant should be marked for extermination. It is up to the rest of us to fight these individuals & protect what also belongs to us.

  • And, finally, for those who think humans are "just another animal whose actions are completely natural", again, do NOT understand evolution or nature - or themselves!

I'm not going to make further posts about this. Anyone with a brain can figure it out for themselves. Savages & stupid people can't, so I'd be wasting my time posting, anyway.

  • PART IV

So, could all you Neo-Nazis who think evolution is about pressing a jackboot to people's and animals' necks please go back to 1940s NAZI Germany.

  • PART III

So, "the adaptations the dodo made for island living [were] flightlessness and gigantism."

"The dodo was probably much thinner and more lithe than has generally been depicted. Most of the [images were] not based on original observations.

"[not fearing] man...was ecological naiveté...not stupidity.

"...emerging science may slowly reshape our understanding and give the long-dead bird some respect."

  • PART II

"The birds [originally pigeon-like] adapted, probably over several million years, to living on an island that had no predators and a wealth of fruit lying on the ground. They gradually traded their ability to fly for the ability to store larger amounts of fat that would carry them through times of scarcity. To store the fat, they got bigger, making it more difficult to fly. Surrendering the ability to fly, and thus to elude enemies..was an easy trade-off; there were no enemies to flee."

  • PART I

**FOR THE DIMWITS WHO THINK THE DODO WAS SOME KIND OF FREAK OF NATURE; for those who don't understand evolution, who think evolution is NAZISM, "survival of the strongest", a distortion of Darwin's work:

    --

    From a "National Geographic" article:

"Scientific evidence [shows the Dodo] to be an evolutionary success, perfectly adapted to its living conditions...

"[the dodo] evolved over millions of years to take maximum advantage of its splendid isolation..."

  • dodo bird is just a fun name for this recent extinct animal the scientific name that scientist gave it was gastornis like tyrannosaurus rex or smilodon or panthera athrox (pre-historic giant lion)

  • Cryptozoology novel about two boys who find something strange on the beach one night see video book trailer

  • My only regret is that I will never ever get to taste Dodo bird.

  • @karelsson Apparently it tasted like shit, but meat was meat and you'd eat it if you were starving

  • Its just as well. I realize you believe in God but I believe in natural selection and well, they weren't exactly the smartest creature on the block.Let nature take its course and yes, we humans are part of nature. Its just as well that the Dodo is gone. Today the Dodo and tomorrow the elephant! Wooohooo.

  • @karelsson, evolution is about the survival of the best adapted to ONE'S NATURAL ENVIRONMENT. It is NOT about mankind's destructive activities, which has nothing to do with nature or the natural envrnmnt. The Dodo was perfectly adapted to its environment on the island of Mauritius, where there were NO humans.

Our minds & imaginations have allowed us to escape nature, to create an ARTIFICIAL environment. Our destructive acts r premeditated & NOT natural. Animals act purely on instinct to survive

  • @karelsson, evolution is about ADAPTATIONS to the natural environment. We no longer live in the natural environment. Houses don't grow - we build them! Cars don't grow - we manufacture them! Animals are completely clueless about the world and their role in it - we know all about the world and are perfectly aware of what we are doing.

Just incredible that you want to live in a world in which humans wipe out every species & u just say, that's OK, that's natural. It's anything BUT natural!

  • @shaunshorn75 Ok if you want to live in a fantasy land where mankingd is not subject to nature and its laws then by all means. Go for it.

  • @karelsson, what is my fantasy land - science? Because I'm quoting evolution, you stupid idiot. All you do is spout your worthless opinion.

Humans live in an ARTIFICIAL ENVIRONMENT. Are you seriously telling me that a city is natural, that evolution takes place in a city? Evolution is about adaptations to the NATURAL ENVIRONMENT, dimwit.

Why do you upload videos of you killing a hog? What are you trying to prove? That you're a savage?

    Youtube really attracts the crazies!

  • @shaunshorn75 Actually, it was a sacrifice to my Gods. But you are obviously an ignorant oaf and so this is not really your concern. Your concern is with proving somehow that Im stupid which I am not. This has everything to do with science. Animal Husbandry/Domestication and Agriculture are not artificial. They are a part of human evolution. Cities are man-made sure. But we are a part of nature. The ability to build cities, reason and use tools are all NATURAL parts of our evolution as a primate

  • And to be clear, what exactly makes killing a hog savage? I am no more savage than a lion who stalks its prey. You must be a vegetarian starved of Omega-3's. I could go on, but since you are on a smear campaign to discredit my words, I suggest we agree to disagree and move on.

  • @karelsson, you're a savage for uploading videos of you killing animals. Animals in the wild kill to survive - they do NOT kill for "sport" or to show off to others. You have perverted evolution, just as Hitler perverted evolution.

Nature is blind; animals are blind to their place & role in this world, whereas humans have eyes to see, but people like u come along & try to pretend that u're blind, too, that u're just acting naturally, like any other animal. Well, then, go back to the jungle!

  • @karelsson, why can't I kill you? If I perceive you as a threat to my existence, I should be allowed to kill you. It's perfectly natural - it's evolution, as you define it. I can slit your throat, let the blood run out, and then upload the video to youtube. Anyone who wants to whine about it can take up their argument with mother
