  • Offshore drilling wont solve anything. When they drill in america WE (AMERICA) doesn't get the oil. Whoever drills it does. (Exon) The prices wont change at all. Experts say that it might affect prices within a few cents within 30 years. Also just because they buy the rights to drill doesn't mean they will. They can buy the rights and not drill controlling supply and enabling higher prices.

  • plp, the prices CHANGE everyday. If they don't drill they lose the leases, moron. They don't drill because there is NO oil. "Experts" said we were running out of oil. We have hundreds of years of oil. "Experts" said it would rain tomorrow, it didn't. When you get a brain, send out an e-mail.

  • The euro declined 1.95 percent to $1.5032 at 10:23 a.m. in New York and reached $1.5005, the lowest level since Feb. 27, from $1.5325 yesterday. It dropped as much as 2.08 percent, the biggest one-day drop since Sept. 6, 2000. Against the yen, the European currency traded at 165.84, from 167.70. The dollar rose 0.5 percent to 109.97 yen after touching 110.08, the strongest since Jan. 10.

  • 5 Stars as always Gordon!

  • July, 31. The race for the presidency has moved back into a statistical tie in the latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update of national registered voters, with Barack Obama now ahead of John McCain by just one percentage point, 45% to 44%.

  • well, I suppose we don't know what could happen if we started using nuclear power plants to supplement our total energy requirements.. worst case scenario is that one got hit by terrorists, they would make attractive targets for sure.. on the other hand why think you are not being manipulated into accepting that we could leap to alternative choices without plenty of transition time and a valid option.. I believe our time of relying on OPEC are about as over az Jane Fonda. GO GREEN - GO NUCLEAR

  • unc, let me see now, you don't believe anything the Bush administration says but you believe the study about gas prices? Market forces are stronger than that study. The price is droping now.

  • here they go again, more global warming style scare tactics to shut down U.S. energy independence.. comparing a dinosaur like the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant to those in a NON communist country is too ridiculous.. by the way, the French are spectacular architects and engineers and most would agree they made the right choice to go Nuclear..

  • Unc, let me see, what year was that? Was it a plant built by the U.S. or France? YOU are an idiot.

  • Uncle, you need to quit repeating demo talking points. There is NO gouging and prices will drop. You don't know what you are talking about.

  • wait someone needs to stop repeating the talking points of their party?!?!? Pot calling the kettle black much?

  • ones, the TRUTH is not talking points. YOU could never understand that.

  • Here in SE Pennsylvania, gas is about $4.00 per.

  • It will soon come down. When I was in Pittsburgh last year, prices were lower than here.

  • Five Stars Man!

  • This actually (even though it was short) was informative. I, for one, am against Obama for president. He doesn't seem to really have the best interest of the country in mind. I wish we had better candidates.

  • I Agree!!

  • Gordon, you should do another video with pictures of your time in California. Looks like it was fun.

Ever thought about running for political office, like mayor??? NW Indiana needs a wake-up call, from a common-sense guy like you...

  • bob, I may soon have news for you. I will not be a candidate, but I may have found the NEXT conservative voice for the region. I will be of service to his campaign.

  • you are an ignorant piece of shit.

Drilling for oil is not gonna be solution. The first drop of oil from drilling will be in 10-15 yrs from now.

And Nuclear Power has harmful effects on the environment from its waste. McCain has no knowledge of that.

  • deep, you are like MOST Obama supporters, you know nothing. In fact the first oil could be produced in less than two years. You are just repeating nonsense you heard from the "no drill" crowd. Nuclear power is being used all over Europe with NO problems. You don't know what you are talking about.

  • And you are saying nuclear power is used all over Europe, but where does all the waste go?

And like others are saying, even if we drill now and "if" we get oil from it, the companies are not gonna lower their prices.

The government has already given them over 60 million acres to drill and they aren't using it. We can approve drilling and give the companies funding, but they won't use the land we give, thats the problem. Why won't they use the 68 million acres first then talk.

  • deep, you need to quit repeating dem talking points. They are not drilling on that 68 million acres because there is NO oil there. They are paying for those leases and if there was oil they would go after it. If they don't use it they lose it. They don't care if they lose it. We KNOW there is oil in Alaska, duh. We KNOW there is oil in the gulf and off California.

  • Correct, no more than 2 years.. we would already have it if not for the BLANKING Libs having their hissy fits every two seconds..
