This was a pleasure to listen to and watch. Hey, I like the SCN pups. It's one of the reasons to own an American Deluxe. There is plenty of great Strat magic in these instruments and their stock pickups. I own the same guitar and same color. It is very distinguished from other strats. It reminds me a bit of David Gilmour's 1954 white strat with the gold pickguard. Nice, tasteful playing!
Thanks for the nice comment. Yeah The scn are far better sounding than the standard ones. specially the neck pick ups has all the bells and whistles. But unfortunately I have to replace it with kinman avn blues the neck is as good as the scn with more output. the kinman bridge is not too bright to compared to the scn. But I was happy enough to use the scn but I was looking for SRV'S tone. which I found in the Kinman blues. But If you are happy with the scns stick with it. its a good pickup.
Hey I really enjoy your playing. Reminds me some of Otis Rush...very melodic even lyrical. You take your time and phrase instead of riff-o-matic auto pilot. Very articulate too.
I recently put Kinman Blues into my Strat and its sounds amazing. If I knew now what I didn't know then I would have gone for the Woodstocks. Your style might do best with the Hank Marvins. I found your clip cuz I am looking for a good blue overdrive and am considering the Boogie V Twin. Any feedback?
@DominicForza Thanks for the nice comment. It inspire me to play more. At the moment I just dont have the proper equipment to make more youtube videos. anyway the kinman blues specials are very good pick ups for your strat. especially if you have a maple fretboard coz the avn blues is not too bright compared to the woodstocks.
@guitarablues I actually have one installed in my strat right now with a combination with the fender blues deluxe reissue I finally found the tone Im looking for. bydway The mesa boogie v twin pre amp is a perfect pedal for blues. It has 3 channels Ive only used the clean and blues channel and its great But Unfortanetly I have sold them after buying the blues deluxe coz the blues deluxe is loud enough it doesnt need a preamp.
@Reynoldsw96 yeah they are pretty quite. but doesnt have much punch. unlike the kinmans and fralins. Im going to replace the pickups with kinman blues special soon.
But if you are looking for a vintage sounding american deluxe you have to change the pick ups. fralins and kinman are the best. scn sound great. but there is something missing.
man i dare you to tell dickey betts to stop playing the blues with lots of treble jesus you don't know what you are talking about. Keep up the good playing man!
myabolbol!! hehe! blues is the root of all music involving guitar.. if you're good a blues, you're far better with anything else.. keep that up! na-inspire ko nimo dah. hsssmp hsssmp. hope to see you soon bai!!!

Which would be better with not big hands? V neck or C neck
PrsFenderJackson1980 1 year ago
@PrsFenderJackson1980 V neck is much thicker. c neck is a bit thin. so to get the right feel for you. go to a music shop and try both.

I have small hand and i have the exact same guitar fender strat 2004 50th ann honey blonde with cooper pick V-neck
I couldnt go to the store and try it, I bought it without trying it

the c shape is slightly thinner than the v shape. the curvature of the v shape neck is almost like a V.
guitarablues 2 years ago
The fender stratocaster is the most versatile guitar ever invented. Rock began with this guitar. so I would say this is a good guitar for rock.

Then whuts the difference with the C shape and the V shape neck , i doun't getit
