Al Gore as president would've ended the republican party and deems would be in a better situation today. It would be easy to beat republicans in 2012.
The most unbelievable thing each time I went to the USA, was the total ignorance of certain important news. I brought my laptop and surfed around on some Swedish websites. What I noticed was how extremely common it was that all the TV-Channels(yes ALL) ignored certain(yet very important) news. Something is clearly wrong when important events taking place in the USA are on the front news in Sweden, but never even mentioned in America itself.
I'm from Sweden, and I have noticed and argued in the exact same way for years, after a few trips to America. When you come from a country where news, facts, reason and debate always are considered more important than anything else, you easily note the difference when you stay for a while in the USA.
playpen time again huh? Gore can't run for anything, he is too busy stuffing his fat mouth or shooting it off. Name one thing he did as VP> Even OLD BILLY BOY didn't trust him with anything other than BS stuff and tea parties. He is a Buffoon
God. Her questions were the EXACT thing he was trying to argue against. The media isnt interested in real ideas, they just want the easy to digest, info-tainment tidbits. I dont care what anyone says, We would such better shape as a nation if Gore were president. History will probably judge that Gore not winning the 2000 election was a trajedy not just for America, but the world.
I watch this mad with great sadness. He was our "truly and ligitimately elected President in 2000. Now, more than ever we need you to run in 08 Mr. Gore. Diane Sawyer, by the way, when signing off after the whole interview repeates the name of Gore's book with disdain and then rolls her eyes. How dare that incompetant hairdo make such a gesture to someone who surely rolled all over her. Get a clue Diane. You and Katie are NOT journalists in any shape of the word.
Sadly, many viewers will miss how Sawyer proved his point. (25-30%) I think a book written on logic and best practice procedures and government policy would not sell or get misunderstood without presenting relevant examples. Americans are selfish (more so in modern times) and one has to personalize concepts to gain their interest.
I watch this interview this morning in Australia and agree very much that the media is failing too support smart and educated thinking. Truly who cares who had sex with that mad woman Anne Smith or whatever was her name.
He hit the nail in the head...at least he tried his best. The airwaves are not used for the public's information. That law was removed in the 80's. you see what's wrong with this picture? 6 corporations, in a country of 325 million + people. I say we all write to the FCC and local congressman and ask that they bring attention to this issue. I say everyone write one letter...or several. We need to restore diversity and FREEDOM of the press.

It's being reported that Al Gore was just arrested and they found drugs in his car. I didn't hear all of the report.
