  • I never saw this shit but this was was damn

  • Finally we see Bruce Wayne and the man who killed his parents

  • SPOILER ALERT: Joe Chill Died

  • what happens after this? Does Joe die?

  • ruined his life? Chill MADE his life

  • @DeathDealer1997 Bruce didn't want the life he has, he's miserable most of the time and in most versions of himself. Without Chill, Bruce would've grown up with his kind and loving parents.

    Thus, Chill ruined his life.

Not trying to be mean or anything, just explaining.

In this cartoon, you could make the argument that Batman is more happy with his life as Batman, but this episode in particular is a tribute to the darker Batman series that paved the way for the character.

  • 1:18 Good, good,let the hate flow through u..."

  • srry to say but is he also the voice of fear the person in green sorry if i dont know the name of it but i think he is the same person in fear and i think i am correct :O

  • It's good to see Bats w/o mask from time to time. You know... Bruce when he is not plaing childisch milionare playboy.

  • ONLY cool scene in this piece of ass series...

  • I'm the goddamn billionaire. >:(

  • this episode was the closest one to the Animated Series caliber

  • How did Dr. Doom get on Batman? :P

  • So they bring back Kevin Conroy the best batman Voice actor EVER!!! But only as a Good conscious? GTFOH NEVER DISGRACE BATMAN AGAIN!

  • @Bitchesgivehigh5s give Kevin a break for christ sake

  • @Bitchesgivehigh5s Why would they change the voice of Batman for one episode? There's already a person who's been signed on as Batman, and Kevin does a crap ton of other projects. Give someone else a chance to do something. :|

  • if the brave and the bold was like this all the time and didn't have the shitty animation style. I might of actually watched it.

  • I'm glad I read the comments. I picked up Conroy's voice in the good angel character, didn't pick up Hamill's until I read the comments. That's pretty awesome they got them to 'guest' on this show.

  • Goodddd

  • Out of all the Batman movies (live-action and animated), animated shows and comics, we get to see this scene....in THIS show?.......THAT'S FUCKING AWESOME

  • kevin conroy is still better

  • @boyturok No one said he was not so why have any doubts?

  • I dont think this as a good characterization of joe chill. He was a simple burglar who was afraid and was shocked when he murdered bruces parents. Still enjoyed it though.

  • @tenkenroo The Original version he was hired by Maxon to kill the Waynes.

  • I've allways seen Batman the brave and the bold as an Adam West like cartoon, a little more childish than Batman TAS, but THIS scene?! Damn, this was serious shit!

  • @SebbeB89 I AGREE

  • @SebbeB89

To be fair while the series does have a campy tone given that it's a tribute to the Silver Age, it does have some serious moments in an attempt to please others making it seem like a tribute and it's own thing (as opposed to something like The Batman which just comes off as a poor man's imitation of BTAS) making it work in a way. It helps that they got Paul Dini to write this episode and got Adam West, Julie Newmar, Kevin Conroy, and Mark Hamill to provide voices making it tie up.

  • Somehow it just figures that the first time the show reveals Bruce Wayne's face...

    He isn't smiling.

"Fulfill your destiny..." Yes, Lord Vader.

  • Thumbs up if you clicked the thumbnail thinking it was Dr. Doom.

  • 0:54 Chill had better get ready for a fucking ass whooping.

  • kevin conroy and mark hamill, best episode in this series

  • "Fulfill your destiny.." really? you couldn't say something original.

  • that was aursome!

  • i haven't seen this show, is the guy on the left (the "good angel" i guess) voiced by Kevin Conroy? Totally sounds like him.

  • @ginnoveffect Yes. The "good angel" voiced by Kevin Conroy is named the Phantom Stranger, a hero from DC Comics decades ago who, if I'm correct, represents justice.

The bad guy is the Spectre, a spirit of vengeance, voiced by Mark Hamill.

  • @Montesama314

Specter is not a bad guy .. he just gets the job done lol.

  • @Joeybsmooth Right. Should have put "bad guy" in quotations. The DC Showcase has him doing some pretty messed up stuff to some murder conspirators, though.

Ever had movie monster mannequins come alive and attack you, all alone in a warehouse?

    I know I haven't.

  • @Montesama314

Yeah what he did to the last conspirator was something else.

  • @Montesama314 gotta love the Conroy-Hamill voice actor duo

  • @Xdeath007X Indeed.

  • I always wished this happened within established continuity. It kinda gives Batman some closure.

However, it would also temper his rage and paranoia. Having Joe been "just some punk with a gun" who either died or was imprisoned on his own allows Batman to continue to hunt down criminals.

  • I don't think Joe Chill will WANT to tel anyone Batman's identity. First, they may think he is insane. Second, if the underground knows who it is, then they know the EXACT person who created Batman, thus will kill Joe Chill for how much damage he had caused.

  • @Jyrow As a matter of fact, your reasoning is EXACTLY what happens after this scene. Joe Chill tries to tell the truth to the villains in the warehouse he's in (he's about to sell some illegal goods to Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, Joker, etc. before Batman attacks), but they ridicule him for "lying", then attack him for possibly making Batman.

  • @Montesama314 Well... Awesome! Thanks for the information!

  • @Jyrow That's what happened. he told that he created to the rough gallery and they wanted to kill him.

  • Yup. He ruined your life. Rich beyond compare, hero to the people, nightmare of criminals.

Sure he screwed him up emotionally, but ruined his life? Thats a stretch.

  • @WolvesBane95 No its not. Having to be batman every night is no walk in the park and its not fun. Seeing the things batman seen like jokers victims or scarecrows toxin is not a good thing. Bruce would be rich anyway.

  • ...its funny how kevin conroy and mark hamil voice phantom stranger and spectre..seeing as they also played Batman and Joker in Batman: The Animated Series...

    ...I am justice...I am vengence...I...AM...BATMAN!!!!

  • so he showed joe chill his identity, and didnt kill him....bad combo right there

  • the Spectre wound have killed him anyway but not bruce.

  • the only good part of this damn show

  • He gets all that punching and yet doesn't have a drop of blood

  • Though Brave & The Bold is a campier, lighter series, this was DEFINITELY a nod to the darker Batman! I love this episode! I'd buy on a single DVD by itself if I could!

  • Phantom Stranger is voiced by Kevin the Batman from the 90's animated series,

Specter is voiced by Joker from the 90's animated series,

The two have opposite points of views on how to deal with the man who murdered Bruce's parents....

Soo, basically, it's Batman and Joker telling Bruce Wayne what to do.

Is anyone else's mind even remotely blown here?

  • @Alterego912 i agree loved how they did that

  • @Alterego912 He looks more like the Spectre to me.

  • This is the greatest Brave and the Bold episode ever.

  • Mark Hamill doing that voice as Spectre makes me shiver.

  • @marvelbrothers That's an awesome tribute right there X)

  • The music to this scene is so amazing.

  • AMAZING! They need to put this in a movie or another series.

  • ohhh oke why is kevin conroy not batman why is this batman i found funny where is new batman cartoon kevin conroy is alwast there even he is not batman lol

  • @MrMaxendiesel Well, Kevin Conroy has been voicing Batman for years, and I think he realizes that other voice actors deserve to try their hands at voicing Batman too. I don't think he's worrying about any competition, since he still voices Batman in a lot of different mediums or is involved in Batman shows in cameo roles.

  • @SolidThugKnuckles but stil its funny that is in every batman cartoon right

  • He is beaten. Let your devotion to justice temper your rage.

He took your parents, ruined your life. Fulfill your destiny, become what you have trained to be: An agent of vengeance. He knows who you are. If this man lives, Batman dies.

Batman may die. But Bruce Wayne, never.

  • 0:51 FML ah crap why me

  • Easy to recognize Kevin's distinct voice for the Stranger... Mark sounds radically different from the J-Man! Think the only way you can recognize it is the way he pronounces Batman's name... :)

  • @BruceBurnett Yea but Mark Hamill is also the voice of the hobgoblin in Spiderman tas

  • @123multitaskerclone Yes he is... But he'll always be the Joker!

  • @BruceBurnett to me he'll always be the joker too

  • bruce wayne was exclicly what he wanted Revenge.

  • which serries is this i think it's brave and bold but am not sure

  • @Deathbyablade10 It is, just darker

  • holy shit kevin conroy is phantom stranger and mark hamill is the spectre 8 0 EPIC!!!!! batman and joker telling (brave and bold) batman if he should kill Joe Chill or not

  • @marvelbrothers Whoa...

  • jesus christ this got deep...damn

  • its like this in the 40s and they make it a mix bag of several elements

  • it looks like the bruce wayne from jlu and the animated sereis (not revamped series b/c that is designed to have baby blue eyes)
