  • the blade tool more abuse than it looks like it will . good i own a flash 2 , i was suprised.

  • great video! just let the pictures speak for themselves man

  • I thought this fealt like a weak assed knife but I'm convinced now. Thanks alot.

  • epic pink glove

  • good to see what this knife can do.

  • Nice to see a Flash II actually put to use, and that the light weight knife can take a little abuse. I just ordered a Flash II after playing with the excellent Flash I that I received just 4 days ago, my first SOG blade by the way. I'm sure little sister and big brother will be happy together. SOG rocks for making knives at this price point in the USA.

  • can u tell the whole name for this knife thanks

  • have you ever spine wacked your Sog Flash 2 ???

  • you should have done some spine wacking after that just to see how the lock would hold op

  • WHAT A GREAT TEST FOR A KNIFE... I LIKE IT ALO... KEEP THEM COMING

  • after prying those sticks, did you find that the glove wasn't as tight? pretty good edc glove overall.

  • Flash:Execellent knife

    Pink glove:nice touch to video

  • AUS 8 Steel. ~!!!!!! I hope one day they will make it in VG-10

  • hi, is this knife can be used as a survival knife ?

  • What a solid knife for the price and weight. I am ordering a second one, with a serrated blade. Great backpacking knife.

  • i could sell you one if you wanted how much are you planing on paying for it right now

  • how destroyed is it

  • i gotta get me one of them

  • wow that is alot of knife for a light weight folder.... all that bending twisting and prying i would think have a bad toll on the blade..... nice

  • probably this, iv got a enacious and it's a bit large in pocket..and iv handled these and could imagine they wouldn't be. plus they both have great blades. only thing i like better about the spyderco is the jimping.

  • @shelbysharp13 actually I own both knives you're talking about... The Flash II is lighter, but it is about the same size if not bigger. You're right about the enhanced grip on the Spyderco and the fact that the two blades are similar in quality.. as far as great blades... thats a matter of opinion. LOL

  • Hello

I would take SOG. It is a bit lighter, the blade is slightly longer and the steel for my use better. It sits in the pocket really deep, almost invisible ;)

Nevertheless you should checked them bought out how they fit your hand.

  • Awesome, I have one on the way. Can't wait to get it. Love the pink glove btw, lol.

  • Well, this is a good test to prove that this knife will suffice would the common utility tasks will ease. That zytel holds up pretty well.

  • awesome vid bro!....shows the usefulness and strength of a knife, and not like the idiots out there talking forever of how much they love the knife and cut paper with it.

  • Well, That made me cringe.

  • the flash is not for survival but for urban enviorment like self defence

  • rofl hell nah its a edc knife. (Every Day Carry) for everyday cutting tasks.

  • yes but i will be good for a tactical folder becouse of its deployment

  • but its nice to see that it's tough.

  • This is what I like to see more than some review!!!!!!! 5 Stars!

  • Great vid--answered all my questions in your demo. It seems sturdy and will do what I need it to. THANKS!

  • nice glove MJ

  • You are the hardcore.

  • thats sum really straight wood wut is that

  • i would have held the board with the gloved hand not the knife i hate splinters.

  • Is there any lateral play after all that abuse?

  • holy crap i would never try that on my delica 4, is it really safe?

  • @shoto01 even if there was lateral play, sog knives come with a lifetime warranty, and they would fix it for free :P

  • Definitly convincing!

  • Wow that looks stong

  • You just convinced me more to buy this knife :).

  • It's clear you get good use out of your knives sir :)

  • great knife looks sterdy.

  • Sorry folks, no swearing on my vids.

English is a beautiful language: find other way to express yourself :)

    Thank you.

  • You're awesome.

  • @rafikmniam Good dude, Just how I am! I don't like people swearing on my videos.

  • Flash 2 Is a great knife. They should make it in VG-10

  • did you notice any extra blade play after this?

  • Nope, just what Ive got straight from the factory ;)

Now I have Benchmade 913, and I must say that SOG is as sturdy as the BM with its titan/g10 handle.

If only SOG had better steel, I wouldn't bother other folders (well, maybe REKAT Sifu, but that's a different story :D ).

  • woah thats awesome all this beating and no play.

  • SOG makes great knives. Is that your mom's glove?

  • do you think gander mt will order me one in??

  • I have this knife its tight.

  • OMG why pink OMFG

  • I was using my Sog Gov Tac like this and my tip broke off:S:S:S. On the same wood, i didn't know but you can only use knives for cutting. If you push your tip in the wood you risk breaking you knife:S. It sucks, i also have a trident and flash i will only use them for cutting. I hope I can fix my gov tac, i'll like the knife but it sucks that the tip broke off. It was a brand new knife, 91$.

    nice review btw.

  • send it back

  • I did and they fixed it, thanks.

  • did u have to pay for shipping and stuff or did they cover taht. ahd does ur new one have any play? (ive got one in the mail)

  • For an assist opening blade there is nearly no blade play. But I guess that you have to 'fine tune' the pivot screw first. I paid sending costs once to send it to them. All the knife companies ask you to do that. But most of them will ship it back to you for free. The knife will last a lifetime as long as you use it as it is made for. So no prying only cutting. But overall the flash is really nice. Hope you enjoy it!

  • awesome yeah thnaks. ive gotta wait so long to get it. itll be in stock on dec 24. i pre ordered

  • hey rafikmniam, I know his is an older post, but if you check in sometimes, does this have the zytel or aluminum handle?

  • Mine had full zytel handle and a plain AUS8 blade.

  • awesome knife - thx man

  • dang nice blade man! that a must buy for me!

  • Nice test!

  • Were there any adverse effects on the blade? I can't believe anyone would do something like this!

  • The Flash II is an amazing knife. The best knife that i own.

  • 5 stars for not being afraid of doing this to ur sog! great knife, i own one too :D plain edge, naturally..

  • yay! firewood

  • I have this knife but with a tanto style blade. I think the tanto style blade looks better.

  • wearing that glove is not the best thing you'd want to do because it's not made to grip but it'd be funny if you slipped and lost your thumb!

  • aw cmon, now i have to go buy one of those!

  • You don't have to buy one, but it's a smart thing to do so :)

Some pics of this knife in my short review on

    knives(dot)pl

  • i have the halfserrated blade and like it because its easyer to cut rope and other things but the plain blade looks good too... i always recomend that knife to any1 looking to buy a new knife. thanks for the vid.

  • Ditto.

Only drawback is the material used on the blade.

Higher HRC or better steel would do the job.

And yes, in that knife, the pain blade turns out to be more usefull.

    hej

  • it's a good utility knife, i wish i had the plain blade but i purchased the half-serrated one instead. thanks for the vid!
