u do not need any special tools for scrying.. a simple galss of water.. next 2 a candle will work...

u focus on a sparkle in/on the water... then u look THROUGH the sparkle... u will feel ur vision change... the sparkle will grow as ur focus go's thru it... and at 1st it will seem as if ur lookin thru a mesh... .

i only 'see' in black+white (like an old tv) and my vision seems 2 come from further back in my eyes/head... so that i can also see my own eyelashes 2. x

@pilsforboys The important thing is that you be able to eliminate reflection or other visual distractions. If you can do that with a black (obsidian/onyx) ball, and I'm sure you can by how you arrange your lighting, it should work for you just fine.

Short answer, it's in your head. It LOOKS like you're seeing it in the ball, but it's an illusion. That doesn't make it any less real or accurate, though.

Keep in mind that everything we see is constructed in our heads. Our brains take in data from our eyes and create images. But we never really "see" anything. All of our experiences happen in our brains.

That kind of depends on your perspective. I believe that psychic abilities are natural and simply a "sixth sense", and that everyone has them, so to me scrying is no more magical than the fact that we can see, hear, smell, or use our other senses. But I suppose to people who do not use their psychic abilities it probably does seem to be magical.

What size is this ball? Does it matter what size you have?

I haven't found size to be an important issue. The ball should be big enough so that you can see the visions, so you probably would want it to be at least two inches in diameter. The largest balls I've used so far have been about 5-6 inches in diamter, but they were no better or worse than the smaller ones, really.

if you go buy a ball make sure it has NO air bubbles in it. you will loose your concentration and focus on the bubbles instead of the center

@ThePandabucket you should actually try to use a natural crystal like quartz. the one he's using in this video is lead crystal which is made in a laboratory somewhere.that's why it has air bubbles.that's the kind of crystal they make door knobs with.. but if it works for you that's all that matters i guess~Blessed Be

@Thesilverwillow Actually, the one I used for this video was made of glass, and had no bubbles. The "bubbles" that appear to be in the ball are just the reflection from the camera. I agree with PandaBucket that the important thing is that one uses a medium (whether a ball, a black mirror, clouds, a pool of water, or whatever) that has no visual distractions.

And, I agree with SilverWillow that people use whatever works for them. We are all different in our abilities. Use what works for you.

Could I use a light prism as a scrying tool? It doesn't seem to me that it would necessarily have to be round. If it must be round, I have things like glass orbs sitting around, too...

No, the surface does not have to be round at all, and your prism might work great. The important thing is to avoid having any reflection on the face of whatever you're gazing into. You just want to avoid any visual distractions like reflections, and just let your eyes de-focus a bit so the visions can come. So the prism might work just fine for you.

@mkdarpas123 Does scrying really work? Yes. You can obtain psychic info (that is, information not obtained deductively or inductively) using scrying.

Can you spy on people using scrying? Yes, but like anything else you should define your ethical boundaries and stick with them. For me, "psychic spying" is out of my ethics, and I won't do it. These are all choices we have to make for ourselves.

Reflective surfaces like black mirrors never worked for me. I always use something I can actually gaze into a bit. But that's just me. Give it a try.

@MrDragon186 Maybe. You can ask for visions related to that question. Whether or not you will get the visions I can't say. But my own advice would be give it a try and see what happens. You are always free to reject the visions (if you don't like them) and change your life at any time.

You stare until the ball clouds over but it's OK to blink. We need to blink once in a while to keep our eyes moisterized. That's OK, and it won't interfere with your scrying.

Don't overdo it, though. Just practice like 10-15 minutes at a time. It can take a little time to develop this skill, like anything else.

Scrying can show you a lot of different things. If you don't want to see into the future, then just ask questions about other things and don't ask about the future.

I will say, however, that when a psychic looks into the future they only see a *possible* future. Our destinies are not set in stone, and we can always change our futures by making better choices and decisions today.

No, I don't think so. My belief is that your environment (including whatever crystal balls you may have around) is indeed affected by your thoughts, but that doesn't mean that your thoughts and memories disappear from your mind. They don't. They are always with you.

Remember, the "magic" isn't in the ball. The magic is in you.

Hi, thanks for your question. No, scrying cannot lead to any kind of possession. It's simply a technique for enhancing clairvoyant abilities. But it's always a good idea to ask, as you did.

I am only able to do black mirror scrying with a ritual/amal (Haziraat) and not able to do it without the ritual. Please explain how can I do it without the ritual.

@ashimmalik If the ritual works for you, I say go ahead and use it. Maybe the ritual gives you permissions to have visions that you won't have without it. I don't know. The important thing is just to use whatever works for you. There's really no "right" or "wrong" method - just methods that work and methods that don't. Use the methods that work for you.

@ashimmalik hello ashim im a random person on here, the scrying process is basically day dreaming into an object. so if you can daydream you can scry, think of a question and do as you would dream accept into your divination tool and it should work also it may be more helpful to do under inbetween the new moon and full moon so right now is best to do it.

Thanks for your question. What you really need is a clear, blank item to stare into. You don't want anything in the item to be distracting. If the scratches on your ball are too obvious they may distract your vision. I have another video up about how you can scry with water, clouds, dirt, and even trees.
