  • YES WE ARE THE STONEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!!!! TOGETHER HAITI WILL RAISE AGAIN...... GOD BLES HAITI.

  • I highly recommend the book "The Serpent and the Rainbow," by Wade Davis. If you like this song , and Haiti in general, you will love reading about Macandal. His story is one of the greatest untold accounts of the first slave revolt of the Americas.

The way Wycleff sings this song does great justice to Macandal's struggle. May Haiti never collapse. The people are way too fascinating and fruitful. "The Only successful slave revolt in colonial history." - Wade Davis.

  • beautifull song. wish there was somewhere to find a full english translation. someone could probably get alot of hits if hey did it.

  • BEAUTIFUL SONG

  • im a irish/german..../white, american, and this is my favorite song. i dont even know what is being said.

  • @wdtc07 what he's saying is if you got ears, listen; if you got a mouth talk. If you don't, the country will burn like a boat full of refugees. Haitians, keep looking for god

  • anyone know where i can find the real guitar tab for this song? willing to pay, just cant seem to find anything.

  • happyJenny12345...Peace and love my African brothers and sisters??? Since when did Haiti become part of Africa?

  • @2323frankie, I don't recall saying Haiti is apart of Africa. I simply made a comment about the courage of my fellow African brothers and sisters. If you are Black and awake then you would know what I mean. Since you seek to question my statement, I will assume, you don't identify.

By the way, I am from Jamaica and among many other things, I know I am still African.

    Peace!

  • @2323frankie If you belong to this category, it's ok.

However, for those who identify, power and respect.

    Peace

  • how do you even say your man yele.

  • wyclef, the future president of haiti. i commend you bro, dont forget to pay homage to hip hop lol

  • this song as never made more sense since the earth quake

  • veryy nice song :]

  • my favorite song off an amazing album...

the spirit of the hatian people is amazing and haiti will be rebuilt even stronger than it was before

  • All I have to say, if anyone in the world doubted Haitians we all now know, you are the strongest people in the world. I have total respect for you. I don't know any other nation who could withstand what has been done to you.

Peace and love my African brothers and sisters. You make me proud to be of African decent. I think you will be the final wake-up for our scattered brainwashed people.

  • I'm not saying we shouldn't support Haiti, i'm all for it. But at least know where it is. Haiti is in the Caribbean.

  • I know where Haiti is, so please do your research

    "You point is silly".

    Peace.

  • I ment to say your point is silly.

  • Ilike That Song

  • ok I see you Haitian people

  • Also, there is several article on this same topic about him. Please research before you respond.

    Peace

  • I respect Haitian people and are inspired by them, but I am a trueth seeker. Have you ever thought why they never mention what, I just said about the sweat shops. They just talk about his foundation. Sometimes people will use you until they don't need you anymore. Maybe they don't need him anymore.

    Peace

  • Caught with the papertrail. Wow what a thief! I cant believe he would steal money like that. I guess his crappy 'music' isnt selling and he needs to get other 'revenue streams' going. Crook!

  • I read alot of things about Yele foundation 1 day after the earth quake too.

However, I wonder why they exposed it now. reports are claiming, he has a sweat shop in Haiti, that earns about 600 million a year. They are also claiming he pays the employees $1.50 per day. I pray these stories are lies. I need more proof before, I accept these rumors.

    Peace

  • Fuck u hater clef is one of the few real artists out there u gives a fuck

  • @wenithboy I did not say he is not a good artist. I merely stated what is being said about him. You can F-ck yourself. I don't care what you say. I am not Haitian, but obviously, I am more interested in your people than you. I love Wyclef also, but if it's true we need to know. Do your part for your people and "wake up". Does a world class entertainer mean more that the suffering people?

    Peace

  • when i say he is the realist , what i mean is that he is always in haiti helping to build hospitals, schools, lending his support monaterily... he puts his money where his mouth is... now right wing media is trying to get him to look like a criminal becuase they perceive him as a threat to their US sponsered agenda for Haiti.. U in the west should do yourself a favour and try to speak to more Haitians on the ground instead of being brainwashed by your media.

  • @wenithboy That was my innitial thoughts. The article I read was by another Haitian. She appears very informed. She says he has many sweats shops in Haiti paying employees $1.60 per day, earns about 600 million yearly, voted against a bill to pay taxes to Haiti for importing foreign goods and is working with the government and Clinton. I feel I maybe more informed about this than the Haitians here. They are surprise when I tell them. Ijust want people to research with me.

    Peace

  • my friend that is non sense, first of all Wycelf does not even have 600 million dollars, and u say he was earning this yearly . The total GDP of Haiti is not 600 million dollars. that's ridiculous!!! Plus how can celf vote against the passing of a bill to pay taxes when he is not even a member of parliament. He is just elected a formal ambassador to Haiti.. Lastly , clef is working with whomever he can to ensure the welfare of Haitians even with people who may be suspect.

  • @wenithboy Well If these are all lies then, he is being set up. That is definately possible. However why would shis own Haitian be interested in setting him up, when he is helping his country. Did you even try to research what I said. I bet you did not.

    Peace

  • in a country of 8 million u will have people who love u and some people who hate your guts ,, u cant please everyone all the time...there are some people in the country who probably hate to see him successful beleive it or not so i would say that it is not above someone to claim horrible things about him. when he gets convicted for fraud i may be open to beleive the truth about these claims . and i will do my reasrch as long as u promise to do the same from more than just one source.

  • @wenithbo Ok here is two sorce to begin with.

    1. Obama offered hope is sweat shop slavery by ( Enzil Dinto).

    2. Wyclef supports Haiti bill without cosideration or respect for Haitian workers by (labor is not a commodity).

I love to research always. I love Haitian people too and I cry for their pain and loss. One love!

    Peace

  • @wenithboy Just google or yahoo in these headings and give me your opinions. I have more sources, but we will begin with these two.

    Peace

  • thank you for sending the articles that u sent. I would say this the article that was written by Enzil Dinto is a very complex one. People who are not familiar with Haitian politics would not recognize the half truths or obsurdites of this article (ie the 600 million dollars i wrote about earlier.) However i do agree with her sceptical assessment of a Paul Collier. i would need a better forum to completely detail the pros and cons of both articles i read. u tube is not the best forum

  • @wenithboy, Thank you also for responding. I am glad you read the article. I am just a little informed about Haitian politics. I know what happend to Aristide and that Jamaica, Venuzeula, South Africa and I think Cuba, had his back. I know that his overthrough was illegal and The priminister of Haiti who assisted in his demised fell out with Jamaica because they took him in. Jamaica was pressured by the Bush government to make him leave and South Africa took him in.

  • @wenithboy, I have read that Aristide demanded that France repay Haiti for the 100 years of payments Haiti made to them for winning freedom and the land. France in return, got America and Canada involved and over threw Aristide. All because Aristide was man enough to demand the 21 billion dollars, France took from Haiti. 90 million + 5% interest over 100 year, etc.

    Peace!

  • bullshit shit !!!

  • God Bless the People of Haiti!!

  • I pray for the Haitians, especially as a Jamaica. I have always respected their courage and stamina for freedom. I just hope that after 200 + years. I will not witness their loss of freedom. I became worried when the president of Haiti married his finance minister and headed for the airport the day after the earth quake. I feel tthis man has alot of shame and guilt in his spirit. I hope he has not sold his soul and people.

  • error, I ment Jamaican

    Peace
