I had the honor to be a Dick Koos sponsered rider in the 70's. Dick would always take the time to talk with you about racing. He was more than racing, he made you feel excited about what you were doing. You were more than just a customer.
As it turned out I went to school with his nice's and nephew not knowing he was thier uncle. A special time in my life.
Hey that was a great little video, great music, great photos, and interesting info section, helped make it something special, the 2 minutes and seven seconds just flew by, what a little video triumph.55555'ses.
I never really knew Dick Koos but was in his shop a number of times in the '60's. I did talk to him a few times and he seemed like a nice guy. When I was 15 yrs old a saw an "older gentleman" doing some agressive riding out at the Kuhl Rd track and I said "that guy's good for an old guy", then someone said that's Dick Koos! I was impressed. God bless him. Ed Lind, Houston, TX
When you Marry your wife, Your get The whole bag.. Some of us are Luck to Pull out the best gift, I was one, My Father in law was a Real friend, (my eyes are watering as i type) Sadly missed. ITs is with Happiness and saddness as i watch this video, But such is Life it makes us grow, and learned that Love is just not a grab bag. It is a gift....
BUGMAN63. Thank you. You have echoed something I have said for decades, We not only marry, we inherit a whole new family. I share your joy of my extended family the Koos', the Sheilds' the Craft's and the Sullivans'.
Love this vid, Thanks for sharing. I learned to ride on an older military Triumph, and my first street bike was a 69 "Bonny". About 1200 bucks (cdn) new back then. Been riding since the mid sixties and currently own an 82 HD superglide 80 in. and a 47 knucklehead 61 cu. Man I really dig this nostalgia, and admire these ground breakers in motorcycle history, Thanks again so much...Reg
Very moving. I especially liked the summary of his accomplishments. Despite knowing him for over 10 years, I didn't know a lot of those things. He was and is truly an American Hero who lived the American Dream. It is true that he was part of the "greatest generation".
Hi. If any one is reading this my name is Glenn Koos. My grandfather's name was Richard Koos. He also served in World War II. It is an honor.
